Dragon Ball Z!

As the title suggests, this is a Dragon Ball inspired Rp!

Scattered across the planet of Earth, lay a mysterious several crystal balls known as Dragon Balls! Each ball alone is useless, a novelty, though when combined, a Mighty Dragon of unimaginable power can be summoned, granting the user one wish! Alongside these magical balls, are people with the ability to use Ki, and with this Ki, people have grown stronger, fired beams of energy with only their two hands, even created things with their power. Finally, there are some such people who wish to adventure across the lands. Some who wish to train under the wing of somebody with greater abilities then their own. And even a few Who wish to continue to advance the technology of the world. This is the story of all sorts of people of these categories, and some people who fall between the cracks!

Races!

Human
The staple race of near everything once again. Humans are a smart race, atleast, smarter than most. High potential is hidden away within their body, and near all of them can after some good training, be able to use their Ki!

Saiyan
The big race of the DB franchise. Saiyans have the locked away ability to become a Super Saiyan. Though earlier in their stages of life, they can become Great Apes, with the use of their tails, which are gained from birth. Finally, most saiyans are naturally fighters, though the required training to increase their over all power is still needed.

Makyo
A race of serpentine creatures, with a natural ability to grow highly in size and strength, known as the Makyo Super Form. This can help sway a battle to their favor, if they are ever in a predicament.

Namekian
A group of almost plantlike beings, with regenerative abilities. Many of the Namekians are peaceful, but a few notable ones are fierce warriors, able to achieve great power. One of their own abilities is to highly increase their size, giving them a stronger attack, though leaving them easily open to attacks.

Half-Saiyan
Born with both the high potential of a human, and the natural skill in battle of a Saiyan, the cross between the two is a formidable species. One single rper will be granted this race access, if they are approved for it. These men and women are still able to go Super Saiyan, and are still great with ki.

Androids
Built with strength, built with brains, the Androids are largely a brute of the rest of the races. Though also fairly smart. With all sorts of abilities, from absorbing power from opponents if the proper work was put in, to being able to fire a special brand of the organic ki!

CUSTOM
Possible custom race? Go over a custom race, submit, I'll think about if it's approvable or not. If not, carry on your merry normal race using ways. People with a custom race are held to a higher standard than most alright? I trust you guys.

Idea for the RP

Everybody starts at generally pretty low power levels. Make your way up through RP, RP, AND MOAR ARPEE. As time progresses threats to earth and such rise, going from rivalries between two people, to a brotherhood to defend the world again instant extinction. So on and so forth.

Race: Android

Fighting Style: Balanced, can absorb blasts, and energy from just touching them.

Abilities: Basic things like ki blasts and energy waves, energy absorption. Can also take excess energy and give it to someone else, but this can shut him down if too much is transferred. Can detect and track energy signals and run diagnostics.

Appearance: 12 has a gray sleek metal body, eyes with red pupils that can detect or track energy signatures and run diagnostics on things, people, machines, etc. He wears a navy blue T-shirt and dark red sweatpants. He also has a dirty gray baseball cap that he found on the floor, and he wears it because he has no hair.

Biography/Personality: 12 was the last of his creator and was specially designed as a fighting machine, able to get stronger by absorbing energy from his enemies. He does not have the mindset of a killer, but does not hesitate to fight. He is generally friendly and enjoys meeting new people....provided they aren't gigantic jerks. He was programmed almost completely, but a small bit of code was corrupted and he sometimes says somewhat scary and frightening things which contradicts his normal personality.

Fighting Style: Ki Mystic
Seji uses a mystical art that harnesses ki via intellect rather than physical training. He is actually no stronger than an average human, but is capable of weaving spells in order to defend himself.

As a result, he has a wide variety of abilities and a lot of fire power. However, it takes time to properly use magic, and once you get past his defenses he is just a man. Plus, every spell has a set effect. This means that he had to research new spells to do new things.

Also, stronger spells take a huge toll on his body, and his body is not strong enough to take the strain as proper martial artists could.
Abilities:(separated by category)
Basic Arcanum - Simple, quick and easy to cast magic.
Blasting: A spell which ignites the air in front of the user, compresses it, and launches it forward. In other words, it launches a fireball that explodes on impact. Equivalent to a ki blast.
Blast Ray: As blasting, but turned into an energy beam of fire.
Shielding: Produces a round, circular shield in front of the user. This spell can, in base form, take a few blows before breaking. This shield must be maintained or it will fall apart.
Cold Blasting: As blasting, but freezes the air instead, thus forming an invisible blast of ice that chills an enemy.
Telekineses: Moves things. Unlike the innate telekineses that some species have, this requires an incantation, so it takes a few seconds to actually use. The larger the object, the longer the incantation. This is limited by Seji's mental strength, so he can't just rip goes in half like a mary sue ki lunatic.
Barrier: Seji manifests his ki outside his body, giving himself a barrier to protect himself. This means he can take more damage, at the cost of ki. This ki barrier is relatively inefficient, and uses more ki than a shield would.
Arcanum Corpus-Magic affecting the body directly
Flesh Blasting: A spell which twists a target's flesh and blood, causing excrutiating pain, though little actual damage. Is delivered via a red, misty projectile.
Flesh Warp: Transforms a target temporarily, allowing them to be better adapted to a situation. Seji usually uses this to give himself wings, as he is as of yet unable to fly without wings.
Flesh Mend: Knits flesh back together and heals it. Long incantation, takes a lot of energy.
Flesh Fueling: Burns blood or other organic material to produce ki. Can use the flesh and blood of others. Requires touch, and a long incantation to use on others, however. Very dangerous for user.
Arcanum Psyche- Magic affecting the mind.
Mind Blasting: Sends a wave of mental energy to overload an opponents mind. Causes no damage, but is very effective at disabling a foe.
Emote: Adjusts someone's emotions. Does not change their intentions or personality. So an angry villain would just calm down for a bit and still do villainous stuff.
Arcanum Umbral -Shadow magic, focused on producing images and making reality seem different than it is.
Mirror Image: Produces illusory copies of an object. Copies explode under a single solid strike. Images can be touched.
Image Crafting: Crafts an image. Image is purely visual and cannot be touched. Image fades quickly. Requires a slightly long incantation.
Shadow Crafting: Produces a "real image", capable of being touched. Disipates as easily as a mirror image, but can strike at full strength.
Melding: Renders a target invisible as long as they don't move.
Arcanum Exitium- Heavy duty destructive magic. Tend to have long incantations.
Lightning Bolt: A spell which displaces electrical charge on an opponent. After a few moments, this results in a lance of electrical energy. In other words, Seji launches a lightning bolt. This is like a strong, ultra fast ki blast. Takes a few moments to charge, however.
Shattering: After an incantation, strikes or touches an object, sending waves of energy through it. This energy can be directed through the object. This causes the object to begin to break apart. Seji mostly uses this to shake the ground to unbalance ground based foes.

Appearance:
Biography: Seji's past is wrapped in mystery. All that is known about him is that he travels the earth, seeking new knowledge. He never stays on one place long, and seems uneasy if he does. His unconventional use of ki is something of a mystery, though he claims he could teach others to do the same.

Name: Jinshi Kyori

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Race: Makyan

Fighting Style: Martial Arts, Jinshi focus' on brutal and efficient melee attacks to ware down foes as well as attempts to put them off balance for brutal grapples and throws. Preferring to use Ki blasts as a strategic force rather than a violent one.

Abilities: Jinshi is only capable of basic flight and a simple, weak Ki blast.

Appearance: The picture bellow is only an example of Jinshi's basic features as a Makyan. His hair is similar as in the picture, only it's Jet black in colour and his skin tone is a fleshy orange he stands at roughly 6 foot tall and he wears human clothing.

Spice

Biography: Jinshi is a Makyan raised by humans on Earth, his years as one of 'the odd ones out' in society has produced a stoic and calm nature in the young man who prefers to spend his time training his martial arts rather than mingle with the hustle and bustle of traditional human life. Jinshi is very thankful to his human parents for their care but has since moved away from them seeking to expand and master his martial arts. Jinshi is not a competative person but he gets excited as the prospect of someone stronger than him being out there, he's a dedicated trainer but by no means a stick in the mud, he enjoys relaxing and having a joke or two.

K then, shall we begin discussion, my good friends? About future villains, future RP ideas, ETC?

Well, it wouldn't be a Dragonball RP without a Tournament, and a tournament seems like the best way for us all to meet one another. Though I'm not exactly sure on how we'd go from fighting for money to forming a group.

IF we use a tournament idea, to avoid this turning into an arena RP or pissing contest, we should probably plan who is going to beat who before a PvP match takes place. To which, I like the idea of Jinshu getting knocked down a peg and having something to 'work towards' in regards to his training, so I will willingly put my hand up for losing a match, just as long as it's not entirely one sided.

I guess a somewhat powerful group of enemies could gate crash the tourney, steal the prize money and leg it, to which we could decide to band together to hunt them down and get it back. Just some idea for if we decide to go with the tourney route, if they're crap than disregard them, I can take some criticism!

Additionally, if we get a larger group of RP'ers, we could probably split the group up a little at first, like how Tien and Choutzu stuck to their own adventures and training until a common, larger threat forced them to join/help form the Z Fighters.

Okay, here are my ideas. Not in order.
-tournament
-possibly fight each other (In the tourney), maybe a few bitter feelings we have to begrudgingly put aside
-cliche interruption, enemies stealing the prize money as suggested by others, maybe the previous androids to 12 would be possible bad guys?
-beat up on some npcs in the tourney, maybe a brief narration of the preliminaries
-chase the bad guys

We'll have the *year tourney* after a little bit of time and char development.

Though a little bit of a 12 person tourney wouldn't be had. Of course a few would be NPC spots. As time goes on, when things are just ending in semifinals and the two final people are just about to face each other, a cloaked figure descends upon the arena, takes the prize, the shady figure who started the tourny *and small trophy with,* disappearing before anybody can confront them. Thus, the people of the tournament are said to be given a smaller prize *by another person tending the tourney* if they can get the man and what was stolen back. Some obviously wouldn't be all about it, but a few *Who else* decides to get the stuff back.

Any thoughts?

Sounds good, gives those already eliminated a good reason to help get the prize back, let's roll with that!

Got any ideas about this 'cloaked figure'? Maybe someone who was in the finals the previous year but was disqualified because they killed their opponent when they thought they were going to lose? Additionally, he/she could have a few pupils under them, that way it's not a free for all on one target.

That's just my first thoughts to come to mind.

Closest DBZ thing I can get

Biography: Born on Earth under a Human father and Saiyan mother, Kota was lucky to be born with a mix of the two races. Unfortunately, at a young age, his mother had ran out on both him and his father, preferring a life of a mercenary and warrior than a housewife. Due to this background, Kota was never taught how to fight at a young age. Instead, his father raised him to become a respected member of society, like most Humans. Ever since, he has only been to school, but lately has been flunking because of a feeling inside of him...the Saiyan's need for combat has driven him away from his schoolwork. Watching the legendary Mr. Satan and many other combatants in Tournaments has only fueled his desire for combat, the Saiyan side winning in his struggle. He now seeks a master to teach him martial arts...much to his fathers warnings.

There really isn't much to Kota since he doesn't really have a fighting background as of yet. Hopefully he'll get more in his story the more we delve into the Rp!

I'll give this to you, man, I'll accept this because you did a lot of talking on ing check ETC. But RP well alright? This is the only half Saiyan spot in till things pick up in Rp and the cast goes through its first happening.

Just so people know how 12's energy absorption works: If and when an android absorbs someones power, not all of it is permanent. He gains a permanent power boost which varies depending on the energy drained and who it was drained from, and some extra energy that is expendable. Also, he will probably try to take as much as he can from enemies, especially when they no longer pose a threat and he doesn't have to worry about them getting away. So basically, he acts like a vulture in that regard.
