As Angelo shot his gun, Marc suppressed his reflexes to take cover as it was a part of the morning routine. On his first morning on the ship he had made a bit of a fool of himself as he immediately had jumped for cover and pulled his gun. Nowadays Angelo's morning shot was more of an annoyance than a threat to Marc. Still, he toyed with the idea of booby trapping the Cannon area to see how much Angelo would appreciate it if Marc put his own skills to work to 'make everyone alert'. There was a great spot near the door for...

His train of thought was interrupted as a man fell out of a closet it the kitchen. He glanced over to see an obviously drunk man claiming ownership of the ship. Marc shook his head and continued with his breakfast, listening to the flirting of Flynn, Angelo's mock complaining and general conversations. When the captain started speaking to her crew about the change of plans, Marc started to mentally make a check-list of the components of the ship he wanted to make sure were in working order before setting sail.

He turned towards Sierra to give a quick recap of Abigail's plan. "We've found ourselves a new navigator sleeping in one of the closets... We're setting sail for the Grand Line in two hours, so everything has to be ready by then." As Marc stood up from his chair he turned his attention to the cook. "Thanks for the breakfast, Simona, it was delicious as usual." He finished his drink in one gulp and headed up to deck to do his morning inspection.

Simonas little pet had liked the encouraging words of Angelo and fluttered around the doctors head for a while longer, well until it tired it self out. The little humming bird didnt yet got to have his breakfast seeds. Deciding it had protected his owners dignity enough it fly over to the table and chipped, eating out of its little cup.

Simona on the other hand was grinning, she was pleased she WAS right that the captain just woke everyone up just for the sake of waking everyone up. It was just by chance that a navigator was on lost on their ship and made the waking up early worth it.

''Mack do you need any last minute shopping to be done? I will make a last quick trip to the market and shops. '' She said aloud the redhead already leaving to take the food plate to the metal crew member. The cook looked down on her empty plate and with a sigh started to pick the plates and cups that were already empty. Leaving the crew members who enjoyed a slow breakfast to their own. Making a mental note to do the wash up later, she cleared her thought.

''Well introductions are a must no? So our new navigator I am Simona, the cook and scout of this ship. There is only one rule aroundme to respect my kitchen is not to be touched. harm it in any way and the damage of it will be inflicted to your persona tenfold. understood my dearest sweetheart.'' He tone started cheerfully enough as she talked to the probably not yet sober man, but quickly turned into a darker tone of warning and promise of Simona being seriously.
But just like that her tone was flipped back like with a switch. ''As a scout I assume we will be working often together especially in checking the routes and such. Will be my pleasure to be from use.'' She chuckled watching as her pet humming bird was full and lazily fly up to settled into her pocket to have a nap.

Kazuma chuckled lightly in response of the attention he was getting. He still wasn't positive this wasn't his ship, but he decided to make the most of it either way. They seemed to be well fared sea dogs, at least, so what could possible go wrong in setting sail with them. Besides, none of them seemed to know who he is, so he would not be looked down upon as a second class citizen among them. He was beginning to feel like a regular man again.

Shaking his thoughts aside, Kazuma faced Abigail to respond bluntly "I will be sober shortly unfortunately. Just need a coffee is all." He gave a half-hearted salute that seemed somehow sarcastic, before moving past the crimson woman to the chef who had offered him something divine. He snatched it from her and shoveled it into his mouth in mere seconds, before letting out a loud satisfied groan. "That food was amazing!" He exclaimed as he placed the dishes aside and took Simona's hand in his. He looked her in the eyes and responded to her introduction with one of his own. "I am Kazuma, The wolf of the west blue, Gintsuki. I am honoured to make your acquaintance, Simona." With that he kissed the back of her hand, and simply wandered off. He had to familiarize himself with everything if he was expected to navigate for this ship in only a couple of hours.

Angelo sighed seeing the display of their new navigator "great we got another one of him" Angelo said pointing to the flirty doctor. "well no point in staying here, again simona thanks for breakfast as usual it was delicious. If anyone needs me ill be doing a last check on our cannons, ill let you know if I need anything captain" Angelo said putting two fingers to his forehead as a salute as he walked out of the dinning room as he left and he went downstairs as he put away his hammock and started to check each cannon for rust or anything that might have it compromised during a ship battle...

"Oh, hey new Navigator. Hope you have fun with this crew, I know I do." Light said, giving a toothy smile showing her pointed teeth, grabbing and taking a bite of a fruit shortly after. "Well, wake me up when we're setting sail, unless someone wants to chat I'll be sleeping on the deck." Light continued, giving a nod or wink to everyone as she left the room, leaning on the main mast as she tried to get a bit more sleep in.

Abigail watched the whole thing without a word. What was there to say? The man was how he was, nothing wrong with that. Though, her gut feeling told her there was something very wrong with how he came about his current state. Whoever the soul was who did this was going to wish he could've just skipped to hell when she reached him. "Yep." She nodded at his question about sailing soon and sat down in front of him. She crossed her legs and rested her plate on top of them. "We'll head out just as soon as the new navigator's head stops trying to break through his skull, or when I finish my breakfast. Whichever comes first." She picked up a piece of fruit, finished it, and then another. Pretty soon she was sucking things down almost as quickly as Nautilus. What was more impressive was the mess she made. There wasn't any, at least if you looked at her or her clothes, but around her, it looked like everything had been tossed up and fell into a blender without any sides to it.

"Delicious." She said, wiping her mouth. "My compliments to the chef, or there will be once I get a chance." She made a mental note if it, and then another one to remember about the mental note. "So then." She got up and popped her back. "If there's nothing else, I think its about time we get this show on the road. Let me just get the crew on the channel and have everyone get up here. Its bad luck to start a cruise without everyone up to see the land get so small you know you'll drown trying to get back to it without a boat." She put her fingers to her lips and gave a whistle. Fenris came rushing up, grinning manically. "Calm down there boy." She said looking down into the tunnel that led below deck. "Can't do that every time or it'll loose its impact, you know?" The wolf cocked its head in confusion. "Remember the paper when you were a puppy?" There was a mild growl at the back of his throat. "Exactly. If I used it for every little thing it would've lost its stopping power." She put her hands over her mouth and took a deep breath.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Its time to being our journey. So get done with what your doing, or find a place to stop. Either way get up here to give the land a good bye kiss." Despite her size the sound of her voice bounced around the entirety of the ship.

Angelo sighed softly hearing the captain yell for everyone to get back on deck so they could say goodbye to their port and say hello to sea, honestly Angelo didn't mind but it was annoying how loud her voice was from even down here in the gun range of their ship. soon Angelo put away his examining tools and strolled up to the deck "you know captain your voice is insanely loud" Angelo said laughing a little as he climbed up to the crows nest to say his goodbyes...

Hanging high above the deck, Marc had just finished inspecting the sail when the Captain yelled everyone on to deck. With a seemingly disregard for his own life he let go of the rope he was hanging onto, dropping several meters before grabbing the rope again, thankful for his gloves that prevented rope-burns. Within several seconds Marc dropped down on the deck, right next to the Abigail.

"The rigging is knot-free and the sail is perfectly in order, not even the slightest tear is to be seen." Marc reported to the Captain. "I also checked the hull. It's so watertight not even Flynn would be able to find an opening to flirt." He joked. Since he had joined the crew, he had given a status report to the Captain. He had no idea whether she even cared for his daily update, but she hadn't told him to shut up about it either. For Marc it was both a matter of pride in his craftsmanship and a remainder of his routine from his time as a marine.

He stared at the port, excited to soon be on his way to the Grand Line. He itched to see more of the world, and especially in the Grand Line there would be many marvellous sights to behold. His motivations were probably miles away from his fellow crew members, as he wasn't after treasure, fame or power, but merely wanted to see the world and take care of a ship.

A quick trip to the city and a last minute buy Simona was pleased, everything she deemed the crew needed was fully stoked up. Well food and drink vice at least.
She wrote a note on a small piece of paper and gave it to her pet bird. The next moment Simona was just smoke leaking out of the open window and quickly raising up in the skies, hiding between the clouds.

Several minutes later the crew was coming on the deck, ready to sail out. Everyone was there minus the cook. Puff chipped up to get the captain attentions and once having it it dropped the note in her hand. Settling to rest in Marc hair. The note had only five word on it written in small and elegant handwriting.
''Scouting, direction Red Line.Sail.''

---

Simona breath hitched, it was impressive. Like really impressive. Floating high up she was still not high enough to look at the red line from the top. The stream that ride up the mountain was in clear view in front of the scout. That was the gate away to the Grand Line, not even by the end of the day the ship would ride up this stream and enter their adventure.

She felt so small in front of it. Her dreams looked to her like the smallest of specks on the night sky in front of this. She sighed, well more like left a puff of smoke out, she will see the world and wonders of this world. Her dream to be free and making her own path she was already living....but maybe one day she will write those children books based on her own adventures too, that would be nice... She smiled as she turned around to return to her ship and report no sight of marine ship or rival pirates.

She found the ship sail full speed on the wind towards the Red Line. The were already sail half of the way. Typical captain eager for adventure. Well the crew wasnt much better either, but for the scout and cook they were family. A true loving and caring family.
She saw most of the crew on deck as she landed and turned from a bunch of smoke to her self again.

''I am back~ The route is clear, the stream up that we have to ride is big enough for our ship easily but its quite wild looking too. About the weather well I saw some angry clouds but who knows how the weather is on the other side of the red line.'' She reported to everyone knowing it will only be minutes before they could see the red line in the distance.

"Thank you Marc" Abigail said, turning to her crew mate, and giving him a slight nod of her head for his actions. "Music to my ears, that is, or as close to it as anything could be without a good beat to it." She reached into a pocket that wasn't on her dress, and frowned. One of these days she'd need to take up smoking, because not having anything to do with her hands was driving her crazy. So she settled on scratching her wolf companion behind the ear. "Its good to know the golden Bloomer is sea worthy, because it would be a pain up the ass to learn it wasn't, especially later on, while we're in the middle of nowhere, possibly being tracked by marines or a rival group of pirates."

She turned her heard turned to the familiar hum of her friend's pet. "Oh goodie. News." She reached up and took hold of the little note in the bird's talons. "Let's see here what our dear cook has for us." She read the note quickly, and gave it a nod. A smile appeared on her face. "Okay ladies and gentlemen let's get going. The grand line isn't going to wait for us to conquer." She walked up to the Captain's wheel, and turned it towards the red line. "Everyone hang on." The ship moved without much protest, but the wind that couldn't get around the perfect, unholed sails, complained a lot. "Okay I know this thing doesn't really turn fast enough to necessitate hanging on, but lets stay with the spirit of things, okay?" The ship left the little island it had called home for the past couple of days and soared on the water towards adventure, gold, death, none of which would be theirs, if the crew of the golden bloomer was lucky enough.

"Hey there Simona." Abigail said from the steering wheel. "Glad to see your back. Was starting to get a bit worried that you wouldn't be able to reach us before that storm coming up." She pointed forwards at the dark clouds that were speeding towards them like a mass of sharks who suddenly smelled blood in the water. "Oh that's a bad one, isn't it." Abigail's grip tightened on the wheel. "Fenris, buddy, go ahead and head down below. I don't want to have to worry about keeping an eye out for you if we start tossing around." The canine didn't argue. He'd almost drowned a time or two thanks to his lack of thumbs. He turned and padded down below deck. "Okay everyone." Abigail called over the wind that seemed to come out of thin air. "This ones going to be a doozy so get below deck if your not going to be needed." Already the violent breezes were trying to pull the wheel out of her hand. "If you are then tie yourself to something." The sky grew dark, darker, and finally, aside from the violent flashes of light that caused momentary blindness, the storm was on them, and the seas danced about, tossing the ship from side to side.

Angelo smiled as he got down onto the deck from his perch in the crows nest as simmona came down and told the captain about what she saw and Angelo just grinned knowing that they were on their track onto the grand line and as the sky changed into darkness he knew that they were about to get to the mountain that would lead them up then down into the grand line. Angelo couldn't wait to become a great pirate that has sailed the grand line and see what adventures await him Angelo even thought about singing a shanty to commemorate this occasion but thought that they should when they actually start to climb it...

Light had slept a vast majority of their time making it to the Red Line, finding various spots on the ship to sleep. She was awoken when the ship had entered the storm leading up reverse mountain though. Being somewhere below deck at the time, Light made her way topside to take a gander at the vicious storm.

"Jeez. This is one nasty storm. Is it always like this around Reverse Mountain?" She said, looking out from the door to below decks at everyone above deck srambling around to keep everything moving as smoothly as they can. She helped where she thought she was needed, mostly with holding ropes and the like, and watched as they approached the river that moved uphill that would take them to the Grand Line, where fun adventures awaited them all, something Light was very excited about, at least when she wasn't asleep.

The storm was a doozy. He pushed, pulled, throw, and a few times almost knocked over the Golden Bloomer like a cow surrounded by kids who'd never tipped a cow before, but were anxious to give it a try. It lasted for hours, granted there was always the chance those were subjected hours in the mind as opposed to the kind clocks and stars went by. Abigail managed, somehow, with some effort, and a lot of luck. Her crew's assistance was vital in them not being torn apart by fingers of wind which wanted everything or nothing. It got nothing, this time. If Abigail had her way, and she wasn't about to not, it wouldn't get anything ever.

Of course, that being said there was a small victory in mother nature's part, if one were to consider mother nature sentient instead of something existing in the mind like Spinoza's God. It had thrown them off course quiet a ways. Technically they still past the grand line, at least Abigail assumed that was the case. She'd have to talk with the new navigator to to make sure. There were more pressing matters to attend to, involving the ship, its state, and the parts that weren't in an ideal state. The captain might not have known all of them off the bat, but there was no doubt to her certainty that the ship's rudder was part of the problem.

Luckily they weren't stuck in the middle of nowhere. Yes, there was a vast amount of ocean around them, but before them, coming up quickly was an island, probably. It was a bit difficult to make out what with the heavy black clouds swirling over it, the occasional flash of light from within the storm. There were better places to go, yes, but none of them were goable right now. "Alright everyone." Abigail called out. "Looks like we'll be making a slight detour for the moment. Just to get the ship ship shaped." She angled the ship and it moved towards its.

A few hours later the island was getting bigger and then it was big enough for Abigail to find a dock and settle the ship in. It was raining again, harder than during the storm, but there wasn't any wind. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, Fenris" she gave a nod to her wolf who nodded back "All of you know what to do so lets get on it." Then there was the explosion a few buildings in and smoke drifted upwards like a fallen angel trying to reach back up to the sky. Someone shouted in the distance.

"Or we could go check that out first?"

On the island three days ago...
A water-soaked figure staggered unsteadily out of the ocean's roiling surf under a bright crescent moon. He coughed up some sea water and collapsed as soon as he got out of the water. "Hah! Take that...urgh...damn traitors." He muttered "Next time you maroon someone on an island, makes sure there is not another island within swimming distance, freaking amateur...wannabe...pirates." Not moving seemed like a good idea, so that's exactly what he didn't do. He forced himself to get up and stagger to some shelter. There was a village nearby with a dozen or so houses. The dripping wet half-naked man with a large soaked trench coat made for a ghoulish figure as he unsteadily tread to nearest house, knocked on the door and fell unconscious.. The old man inside opened the door, took one look at him, and immediately sent for a doctor.

Present day...
"Thank you for helping me." Balthier said "I am sorry but I have no money to pay you with." "Don't worry about it." The doc said "Its been slow and I had nothin' better to do." Balthier looked around the small room that he had been recovering in for the last three days. It was nothing special, just a bed, a dresser, and a fireplace. He was sitting on the bed being checked over by the doctor one last time before being released. "Hmm... your fever is gone, and your vitals are normal. I'd say you're in prime condition, try not to nearly drown yourself in the near future." "I will try but no promises." Kelsier said. The doctor groaned "Just as long as I'm not the one who has to patch you up." The old doctor grunted, as he gathered his stuff and headed out the door. "You are, with out a doubt the worst patient I've ever had." Balthier grinned at the cranky doctor. "Goodbye and thanks again." He told him. Now, I need a ship. Balthier thought, as he walked down the road that led to the docks. Suddenly he heard an explosion and shouting. He felt his anticipation rising. Well, I have spent long enough out of trouble, time for some excitement. With that thought he dashed off toward the source of the sound.

Simona was wet, the rain drenched her hair and favorite cloths. The sight of the island was more than apprenticed. The ideas of warm tea and chocolate in a cozy bar were really tempting at that moment.
Puff was huffing at her as he disliked his favorite sleeping places be all wet. She petted the bird jumping off the ship down on the docks.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, Fenris"

Puff huffed wanting to be included just like Fenris. The bird did see itself more usefully than the wolf. He could fly the wolf couldnt. Again Simona petted the little pet of hers making it forget what he huffed about moments ago.

"All of you know what to do so lets get on it."

''YES, my Captain!'' The cook chimed, her job was always information gathering. She could turn to smoke and try to sneak around and eavesdrop any interesting people....OR She could go in the bar get a warm tea and chit chat wit the bartender. The bar idea was winning until the explosion happened.

''"Or we could go check that out first?"

Simona nodded looking at everyone else. The smokes would give her a perfect hiding place if needed. Moving after her captain she decide that for now there was no time to spy. The captain looked itchy for action in the cooks eyes. She wouldnt wait and let her scope the area beforehand. Oh well they were barely two hours on the grand line and explosions and panic were already greeting them.

They could see just down the street a house was burning several shady figures holding torches, several others were staying around ready to act on order. Simona guessed those were pirates. The captain she assumed kicked a young man laying on the floor. He spoke loud and clear. ''Get us a guide! Or more of your houses will be date the fire! ''

A small girl crying run up to the young man clenching onto himself on the dirt. ''B-brother!'' A woman that had to be with the pirates stepped up to the scene and a swing with a guitar later the girl was thrown on the earth too. Crying and whining from the pain, the side of the girls head bleed from the spot where the instrument made contact.

The village people looked ready to jump them, Simona noted that the village people were stepping away from the oblivious strangers, including them. She pushed her glasses up, she would really love to know more about this conflict before she jumped the guns...
