As Victorique fell asleep again, Kalinda sat down beside her once more, and seemed to think a moment, before poking her once more in the side, but gently this time, not particularly caring about the fact that she had fallen asleep again. Kalinda just wanted to poke her. As Dimitri retrieved a lollipop, Kalinda blinked at the candy. She didn't find Dimitri's behaviour over the candy as odd, but rather wished she had some candy herself.

She sighed softly, almost wistfully. Candy was something rare for her. She shifted, looking to Ju-Long when he spoke up, shrugging. She wasn't particularly concerned about partnering up, so she said "I tend to be able to partner up with a lot of weapons. I haven't really find a weapon I can't work with." Which only made it harder to find a weapon to stick with. Often, she found that it took a lot more then just being able to align your soul with a weapon to maintain an effective partnership.

closeness was something she didn't particularly relish. After all, everyone she cared about just...went away. "Well, I joined the academy to fight, so I was an EAT student. But apparently I did well enough to be here" She said, with a shrug, leaning back in her chair.

Regan Hiryuu

She watched the boy go through several cycles of emotion before he focused on the question at hand. "Yeah, a partner. Maybe even two, if you felt like you could. Some meisters do that, though it might be tricky. I need to find a meister to pair up with, myself. <Would you like to be my partner, Katsuo-san? I'll let my weapon form surprise you.>" She giggles softly and gives him a playful wink. If she's going to be working with him, she should be personable.

She looked at the others surrounding them. The one girl had gone back to sleep, while the others continued to converse. It looked like the other girl wanted to continue bothering the sleeping one. She could hear their souls, slowly beginning to weave their songs together. It was harder to hear in this room, and she could only guess that would become harder as they spent more time here, and the air became more saturated in Kyokun water.

Victorique

The soft poke in her side from the redhead made her twitch at first before opening one eye to see who it was. She coldly glared at Kalinda for a minute without realising it but she still gave off a somewhat scarier aura then ussual. She closed her eye again twisting her body a little so that her face would move onto Dimitri his shoulder a little more for comfort. She only muttered a little at Kalinda before trying to get to sleep again "Wh-hhat?" After having been woken up like that again she non presently listened to the conversations going on around the classroom. The sound of something hard clench lightly against what assumable teeth where knowing by the distance and the mouth sounds, could be heared from close by. She noted that Dimitri had start eating some candy which made herself also rather hungry. But it was to much of a bother to ask if he had anymore candy. Despites she would have to try and get up again without passing out. The kyokun water really took it's toll on her. Her soul wasn't so strong either what was only for the worst. She tried shifting her head again to get an even comfortable spot and took a small spot on Dimitris shoulder that was a little closer to heaven for now.

Dimitri moved the candy a bit in his mouth as he decided to test the waters a bit while he still seemed capable of speaking properly, "I'm looking for a partner myself. I was sort of hoping for a blunt weapon type, however i'd be ok with anything that isn't too complicated.". He could feel Victorique nestling against his arm more however this time he barely reacted, only giving an errant twitch in the corner of his mouth as he briefly glanced down at her, then back up at the others.

The meister began to crunch the candy in his teeth as he examined the students that weren't in his immediate vicinity. The first attempt to turn his head was less than graceful, the lightness of his body caused him to all but snap his head in one direction, causing a fair bit of discomfort in his neck. Dimitri grimaced as he was painfully reminded of the kyukon water's effects and tried again a bit more carefully. As he slowly scanned the room, he took note of the fact that the two newest arrivals were conversing, and one ha begun to look around the room much like Dimitri was. Dimitri looked away and began to crane his neck to see if there was anyone towards the rear of the room that he'd missed. There was indeed one; a young woman, however by the look on her face Dimitri could tell that she wasn't exactly in the best of moods at the moment. He turned back around and looked dead ahead at the clock.

Kalinda shrugged at Victorique's almost childish "Wh-hat?" she guessed that Victorique was struggling with the Kyukon's waters effect. While Kalinda didn't like it, she just figured it was part of this, but was suddenly worried that the older girl wouldn't be strong enough to continue with this class, especially if they continued to up the strength of it.

"Nothing. Stay awake. You're not going to be able to get stronger with the water's effect if you just succumb to sleep" She said, poking her again gently. "it's not that bad, come on. Just talk. What type of weapon are you?" she asked in a lame attempt to keep her awake. Kalinda knew it would be easier tomorrow for Victorica if she could get trough today. Resistance build up and all.

As Dimitri crunched on his Candy, Kalinda sighed. She supposed she could just bake some cupcakes or something to satisfy her sweet tooth. Perhaps that was better than candy. But Candy was...yum. She looked back to Victorica.

Victorique

She grumbled at the girl lifting her legs up the bench now an immediatly turning the whole front of her body towards the back leaning in a crouch like position. She grumbled again wanting to sleep really badly but gave in when she looked at the redhead her cute little face that was staring at her. She sat upright taking the burden of Dimitri his shoulders and blinked a few times with her still somewhat sleepy eyes. Her slender hands reached up towards her eyes to go rub them before looking at the redhead slightly open mouthed. She gave a slow nod at Kalinda "You might be right about that" She slowly said before averting her eyes to the cracking sound from the other side of her. That did remind her Dimitri was still sitting next to her. At first she stared intently at the candy but soon she tried to let Dimitri give her some candy by staring at his face for a few minutes wanting some candy really badly but that probably wasn't a reason for Dimitri to give her some. She would probably have to give him money in return for it which she clearly didn't have much off. But there was still a possibility that he would give her some anyway.

She felt a small finger poke in her side again making her concentration go towards the redhead again. She angled her head not really knowing what she wanted from her. After hearing her out she pondered for a moment and started talking again "Oh, i'm a Odachi. Kind of like the japanese sword the Katana. How di..." well it didn't matter to her how she found out actually. She must have told the redhead that she was a weapon. Maybe she told the girl in her sleep? Those kind of things would happen to her from time to time. She started to stretch her body, first her arms up in the sky to stretch her back which felt very comfortable, while she was at it she also stretched her arms while giving a wide yawn. She first seemed very irritated by it but slowly regained to her old self. Her eyelids closed halfway as she stared in front of her. She was feeling a little wobbly and indeed she was slowly swinging from left to right feeling rather drowsy not being able to do anything about it.

As Dimitri finished off his lollipop he couldn't help but feel as though his sweet tooth had not yet been satisfied. The man reached into his pocket to produce a second one when he felt a pair of eyes on him several times. He looked over to Kalinda and Victorique with a bit of a perplexed expression for a bit before it dawned on him. His mother had always said that most women tended to have a sweet tooth, and it appeared as though these two where no exception. Dimitri dug around in his pocket a bit more and produced four lollipops just as Victorique started to become woozy, "H-hey, you alright?" he asked as he hesitantly reached out to steady the weapon. Being that Dimitri was a large fellow with plenty of endurance to spare, the kyukon water did little to affect him besides making him a tad sluggish and forcing him to move more carefully, so he was at a bit of a loss in regards to what to do to help. In the end Dimitri ended up doing the only thing he really could at the moment and offered Victorique a piece of candy, "Maybe you haven't eaten enough and it's making the water harder to bear...I know it's not much, but here, maybe some sugar will help. You can have one too Kalinda- I mean, if you want...".

Kalinda was amused at Victorica's reaction, telling her what weapon she was, but then seemingly realising that she hadn't said she was a weapon. Kalinda smiled, and shrugged, "I could ay lucky guess. But, well, weapons hold themselves differently. It's faint, but...it's there. I can't really explain it. but I've been watching people since I could understand that people were different" She explained, leaning forward.

She smiled at Dimitri as he offered them candy, and eagerly took one, putting it in her mouth, and just enjoyed it for a few moments, before continuing to speak, "thank you!" She smiled again, happy to have candy, and shifted closer to Victorica as the older girl swayed, giving her some support. " Odachi? that's a pretty cool weapon. Don't think I've ever used one, but still pretty cool" She said, now just chatting in an effort to keep Victorica awake.

"Survive the lesson, and I will make cupcakes" She added, musingly, but was wondering if she actually had the supplies for cupcakes at home.

Katsuo Masahige

He stuffed his hand in his pocket and with the toe of his boot, tapped the ground repeatedly. A chuckle left him as he tilted his head and smiled at her comment, even though she was gazing at the others around them.

"Sure," he said, turning to look at the others as well. The two of them seemed rather compatible, if not similar. " It seems like it'll be fun. Being your partner n' all."

With that settled, he reached out and grabbed her wrist, tugging her along with him to the others. Though he kept the doctors words in the back of his mind, he also felt he had to be himself. If not, he'd just be doing his new partner a disservice. Once he approached them, he released his gentle hold and greeted them with a slight wave.

"Yooo, I can't remember if I introduced myself or not but," He cleared his throat with three closed-mouth coughs before continuing. " I'm Katsuo Masahige. Honor to meet you guys."

"If you're going to pass out, leave the room. If you fall asleep under the effects of Kyukon, you might not wake up again," A soft voice said from behind the group. Somehow, Alisa had managed to cross the room and join them without anybody noticing.

"The water will keep draining your wavelength until there's nothing left. Falling asleep here is a bit like falling asleep with hypothermia." Seemingly done with her explination, Alisa sat down in the nearest open seat and closed her eyes again, not sleeping, but meditating.

Victorique

Victorique turned her head to Dimitri to nod that she was alright while still waving around on the spot a little. She still however looked like she was really trying to fight the sleep. The others didn't look like they had much problems with the water even the redhead that was smaller than her didn't seem to be sffected in any way. Her eyes slowly foccused on the lolipop being held in front of her. She first gazed at it before taking it and staring at Dimitri with a half happy sleepy look on her face. She slowly unwrapped the lolipop and putted it in her mouth. She kindly smiled at Dimitri while talking with the lolipop still in her mouth "Thank you very much"

Her head turned around again as she felt the small redhead trying to support her. She first smiled at her before slowly leaning on her with a somewhat worried look on her face. She often pushed smaller people over when she didn't watch out. She didn't know if she was heavier or just clumsier then everybody else. Her cheeks redend a little hearing she was a pretty cool kind of weapon. She didn't know how to reply back to it and just stayed quiet for now. The redhead gave her a sweet deal. Just staying awake for the remaining time of the lesson would ive her free cupcakes from a cute girl. She happily nodded at the small girl now really trying to keep her eyes open.

Some of the other students started joining in more. It looked like there already was a pair of weapon and meister. They sure were quick to decide what kind of partner they wanted. But she couldn't denie it that it won't work out. She was however flustered by the solo student behind them. It took her some time to realise what the girl was saying. She angled her head "Is it really that strong?" She was staring at the girl slightly open mouthed with almos the lolipop falling out of her mouth. She looked back in front of her muttering a little under her breathing "I can't fail this."

Ju-Long

Ju-Long smiled watching the other three interact. "Oi! You offer the two girls candy but none to me, what's with that? Am I not your friend? Awww.... so mean!" Ju-Long joked to Dimitri, getting up and walking to stand by his side, lightly tapping his side playfully. "Or, is it you are trying to pick up the girls? Ey?" Ju-Long joked around, with a big playful smile.

His probably not like you. I mean who thinks of a girl as a tsundere and then looks up their skirt? You damn pervert

I was joking with him for one, and stop branding me as a pervert! You are gonna make me cry here!

It seemed the Victorique was an odachi, Hm... similar to you guys, in a sense. Another type of sword, but with a different purpose. he made a note. "So, when do you think the next lesson will start?" he asked. Others seemed to come over to the group. A pair had been made, the guy who came late introduced himself, Katsuo Masahige.

A soft voice came up from behind, "If you fall asleep under the effects of Kyukon, you might not wake up again. The water will keep draining your wavelength until there's nothing left. Falling asleep here is a bit like falling asleep with hypothermia" Ju-Long turned around.

"Although it's true, it is unlikely that this concentration will do that. But if you are having trouble with this concentration it will get harder when there's higher concentrations. It's not a linear progression, it is an exponential progression. So you should prepare yourself" Ju-Long added to the explanation for Victorique.

Kalinda hummed with happiness at the fact she had candy, moving it around in her mouth happily to get the full flavor, closing her eyes with evident cheer. As Victorica leaned against her, Kalinda didn't move, staying where she was exactly, giving the older girl some support.

As someone else approached them, Kalinda opened her eyes. As the new comer stated what falling asleep under the effects of the water. Seemed Serious. She doubted it would happened. Why would they want to kill some of the students? Seemed stupid to her. "Don't worry. I'm bribing her with cupcakes" she said with a smile, looking to Victorica "And I keep poking her, so it's all good" just for good measure, she poked Victorica again, but lightly this time.

"She'll get use to it. I'll just keep on bribing her with baked goods and sweets" She had flour, she knew that much. And sugar. She was sure she had butter. And eggs. Yes. She had everything she needed, and thus, could make good on her bribe. SHe looked to Ju-Long, pondering for a moment.

then she shook her head, then said good naturally "So, Pervy, you seem pretty knowledgeable about the water. I never heard of it until today. Seems like an unusual way of keeping us under control. Are they scared of us?" What the hell was wrong with her? Why was she being so...friendly. Why was she even bothering to make the effort.

Maybe you just don't want to be lonely, anymore.

She pushed that thought aside, and glanced aside, now worried that she had overstepped some boundary.

Victorique

The pervert from spoke up again towards Dimitri teasing him a little, he probably didn't have meant to only give the two girls some candy but anyone else who wanted to. Or he did do it for the girls which she herself didn't mind at all. She liked candy and she got it, so there was nothing to complain about there. The guy had something else to add on top of the girl her explanation to Victorique. It was weird to have these symptoms under this concentration of the water. This made her feel a little bad, or it was her being this weak or it was a different cause to the problem at hand. She looked down a little muttering to herself "It's gonna keep getting harder." They are gonna keep raising the water concentration to get them all stronger but if she isn't even able to maintain one day in this class. She didn't want to go back to her old class again.

She quietly pondered only producing soft sucking sounds from the lollipop, she didn't pay much attention to the things happening around her leaving her off guard. She had to do her very best to stay in this class from today on. A sudden poke in her side again made her release a small gasp while she slowly turned her head towards the more happy less tsundere redhead. She wondered why she was so happy all of the sudden and why she was so happy to bribe her to continue working hard. Her eyes caught hold of the lollipop in her mouth. She smiled thinking about how she was just like every little child she knew. They get happy when they get the smallest of treats. She chuckled a little holding her hand for a mouth not trying to show it to the girl all to much.

Dimitri nodded as both Kalinda and Victorique accepted his offering. He was about to offer Ju-Long one when Katsuo entered the picture by coming over and introducing himself. Dimitri tried not to show it, but he was starting to become a bit overwhelmed an nervous surrounded by so many people. The meister gave a small jump as the number of people near him was further increased thanks to Alisa. Ok. Ok, this is...no, this is good. I'm surrounded by people and i'm not acting weird. Just gotta keep doing that. Keep not acting socially inept until class ends.. Dimitri started to slip back into a more reserved state, however he did manage to offer a weak greeting to Katsuo.

The nervousness was ramped up yet again as Ju-Long jokingly made a complaint about not being offered candy "S-sorry, I meant to offer you one as well, that's why I p-pulled out four.". Dimitri said before placing a lollipop onto his desk and sliding it in Ju-Long's direction. Maybe it was the kyukon water at work, or even just his own nerves, but Dimitri started to feel even lighter, as if at any second he'd float out of his seat. The sensation was foreign and while it may have been pleasant at first, it was beginning to make Dimitri uncomfortable. He began to press his fists against his desk -a nervous habit he'd developed sometime around middle school- and focused a bit of his soul wavelength's ability into his fists to feel a bit more stable. The desk made a creaking noise and bent a bit from the strain, which forced him to reel in his ability a bit to avoid cracking the desk. It took him a few tries to find the perfect amount of pressure to apply to the desk without straining it or making himself feel too light but once it was done he released a shaky breath of relief as he finally felt stability return to him.

Regan Hiryuu

"<I look forward to working together.>" Regan bows politely as Katsuo accepts her suggestion, though before she could do much else, he was leading her over to the other students, who were discussing amongst themselves. She let Katsuo introduce himself first, before following, "Regan Hiryuu. I'm sure a good year lies ahead of us."

This was quite a rag-tag group of bandits, here, wasn't it? Seemed to be quite the interesting dynamic, certainly. She could hear it. But, looking at those others gathered in front of her and Katsuo, she had to wonder. "Have any of you decided on who you want to be your partner, yet?"

Katsuo Masahige

" Of course they haven't, they aren't quite as fast as us. Its going to take them centuries, maybe even more just to see if their compatible. Me and you, we just click." praised the youth as he smiled widely at hte girl. For some reason, he felt a bit more. Just a little greater than what he was a few seconds before.

He craned his neck from side to side, his hand easing the taunt muscles beneath the skin. Staying up late wasn't the smartest thing to do last night. By the time he ended up passing out, he was positioned in a weird angle, his neck leaning against his headboard. Dammit all, this really hurts, he complained to himself.

"S-sorry, I meant to offer you one as well, that's why I p-pulled out four." Dimitri replied to Ju-Long's joke. With a lollipop sent to him, Ju-Long picked it up. "Oh, I was just joking .... but Thanks!" he smiled, unwrapping the lollipop and popping it into his mouth. It seems it was lime flavor, Ju-Long didn't exactly like lime but it wasn't bad. His siblings however ....
Urg ... lime ... spit it out already!

That's enough you two, I can't stop because it would be rude. Just deal with it Min.

"So, Pervy, you seem pretty knowledgeable about the water. I never heard of it until today. Seems like an unusual way of keeping us under control. Are they scared of us?" With the suddenness of Kalinda calling him a pervert, he face-desked the table. Pervy!

Quiet you two!

"Um.... Kalinda, do you mind not calling me that?" he asked, sighing. Recomposing himself, Ju-Long started to explain what he knew of the kyukon water. "Well, kyukon water is a magic liquid which drains people's soul wavelength. The source of the water is said to come from the legendary nine-tailed fox, but, it is unsure of how it comes about. Well, from what I've read at least. Anyway, meisters have been said to use this water to empower their soul wavelength. This method of training is usually done by meisters who can perform soul attacks. I've heard weapons in their weapon form are unaffected, but I am not sure how true this is. This method of training is dangerous, as if one's soul wavelength is completely drained, they will die. Usually, it is in a pot, and people start off by inserting the tip of one finger into the pot. As their soul wavelength strengthens, they eventually put their hand in, before starting to drink portions of it. When drinking, only taking very small sips. It is unusual for it to be made into a mist."

Ju-Long spewed a lot of information about the kyukon water, before answering Kalinda's question about being afraid. "Although it has been used as a restraining element, it is actually quite ineffective as the soul learns to strengthen it's wavelength. It is difficult to use it for restraining over long periods of time. In all honesty, I don't think they are scared. They would apply magic seals if they were afraid. They just might want to strengthen us as soon as possible." Ju-Long finally finished how he interpreted the situation.

Regan introduced herself, and asked if they had partners yet. "Nice to meet you Regan. Not sure if you heard us before, but anyway, my name is Ju-Long, the big guy here is Dimitri, the sleepy girl is Victorique, and the red head girl there is Kalinda. None of us have decided on a partner yet."

Kalinda knew she had overstepped some sort of boundary, but she just wasn't too sure what. Nor if she should apologise, or not. She felt like she had ruined something, and wished she could figure out what to do. She sighed softly to herself. She failed at all social situations, it seemed.

She looked away, bringing her knees up, she balanced on the chair, and wrapped her arms around them, still allowing Victorique to lean against her, and then rested her head on her knees. it's not my fault. I had to learn different skills to other kids. Like how to steal bread without getting caught. or how to move with the shadows. Or how to stay alive day in and day out. I didn't get to learn social skills She thought to herself, but she still felt like a failure.

She sighed again, and just focused on her candy. She listened as the others spoke, pondering things, but the use of the water still seemed to be pointless to her. As someone else joined her, Kalinda flickered her glance over to them, then away. She shook her head, "no partner" She said simply and doesn't look like there will be any partner for me the way things are going. A miester without a weapon. Never heard of that before.

When was class going to be over? She was suddenly weary, and she was sure that it wasn't the water. What were they even meant to be doing? She glanced quickly around at everyone else, and then down at her desk. ."What now?"

Victorique

Over the loli pop noises she heard a slight cracking noise coming from right next to her. She turned her head towards the spot where the noise came from and soon found out it was Dimitri his desk that was making such a god awful noise. Her head angled slightly as to trying to ques what he was doing with his desk. He didn't look all to good himself either, was he having trouble with the water too? She tugged lightly on his sleeve trying to get his attention while both not trying to irritate him too much after that he was so mad at the redhead "You alright? You don't look well, are you having trouble with the air too?" After she was finished with Dimitri her head turned towards the redhead again after she had picked up quite a interesting topics. The boy was a real expert on Kyoun water. He must have been in the EAT class before this special unit was made. Then she noted the redhead also didn't look alright. Did she accidently release some of her saddening powder on those two next to her. Her face also slowly saddened not knowing on how to cheer the two up. Well she at least had one idea. She poked the cheek of the redhead twice in a timid way. She put on a gentle smile and began talking to the little kid "Don't be sad now."
