[IC] Pokemon: Kalos

Ryan nodded and brought out his first Pokemon. It was going to be a one Pokemon battle so Ryan brought out his heavy hitter. "Come on out Fuma." Fuma walked onto the field confidently and puffed out his chest. The old man sent out his Lucario and the battle began.

"Fuma, use Lick!" Fuma ran to the Lucario and attempted to Lick him and in the process paralyze him. The Lucario jumped back but the damage was done. The Lucario was hit but not paralyzed. However now Fuma as a Ghost Type, making it near impossible for Lucario to hit him. It used Swords Dance a few times but then it began to glow. Ryan looked over at the old man and his eyes widened at the sight of the Mega Stone. "Fuma, back off now!" Ryan yelled as Mega Lucario rushed Fuma with a Metal Claw. Fuma narrowly dodged it but got several deep scratches. Ryan knew what Mega Lucario was capable of. Any Fighting Type or Steel Type attacks would be even stronger now. He racked his brain for a solution and found it. "Fuma, Smoke Screen!" Fuma changed into a Normal Type and let out a massive cloud of smoke. It was a risky play but it would probably work. He just had to hope that Fuma could be just a little faster than a Swords Dance using Mega Lucario. "Oh god I'm going to lose." Ryan moaned as he focused. "Now! Maneuver 7BJ!" Fuma used Quick Attack to come out of the smoke with an intense amount of speed and used Water Pulse to shoot into the air. The water soaked the ground and made it muddy and slippery while Fuma fell back to the ground towards Mega Lucario. The Mega Lucario tryed to jump and hit him out of the air, but slipped on the mud. "Finish it!" Ryan called out to Fuma. Fuma nodded and began firing more and more Water Pulses at the Lucario, beating it down. Fuma landed on the Lucario and Licked it, paralyzing it and finishing the match.

The old man gave Ryan a Key Stone and he thanked him quite a bit. He headed off to the Pokemon Center to get Fuma healed up and to wash all the mud off of him.

"That was a good battle." Liam commented. He turned his focus to Korinna. "So, I heard some trainer went overboard with the move dig in the gym."
Korinna confirmed it but said that her Pokemon were tired from helping fix the gym, and the first thing in the morning she would be ready to accept challengers. Liam thanked her as well as her grandfather and left to do some special training, as well as devise a strategy for facing her gym.

Shiranui did some special training as well. He was also thinking of strategies for Korrina's gym and devised some for three of his Pokémon.

After a few hours, it was getting dark. Liam returned to the Pokemon Center to get his Pokemon healed, and then went to bed.

Ryan went to sleep as well after staring at his new Key Stone for a bit.

Shiranui went to sleep thinking about what Korrina could possibly put against him.

The next day arrived. Once his friends were all up and ready, Liam walked to the gym. He inquired on who wanted to go first.

[Flood]

Ryan shook his head and smiled. "You can go first." He wanted to observe someone else battle first, see her strategy.

"Liam, would you like to do the honours?" asked Shiranui.

"Very well." Liam said. He took his position. The Ref said that each trainer would use three Pokemon, and only the challenger can substitute Pokemon. Korrina started off with Machoke. Liam sent out Scarlet the Braixen.

"Scarlet, Psyshock!" Liam called. The odd wave issued forth and hit the Pokemon.
"Machoke, Low Sweep!" Korrina commanded. The Superpower Pokemon tried to trip Scarlet, dropping her speed.
"Attract!" Liam called. Scarlet pulled her twig-like wand and coyly put the tip in her mouth and winked with an adorable "Brai". Machoke fell head over heels.
While Machoke had his tongue aging out his mouth, Scarlet used her new move, Psychic. Machoke was slammed into a wall and knocked out. Korrina called out Meinfoo.

"Mienfoo, the Martial Arts Pokemon. It takes pride in the speed at which it can use moves. What it loses in power, it makes up for in quantity. In fights, they dominate with onslaughts of flowing, continuous attacks. With their sharp claws, they cut enemies."

Scarlet wanted to continue. "Use Psybeam!" Liam called.
'Detect!" Korrina called. Meinfoo predicted the attack and where it would land and avoided it.
"Will O' Wisp!" Liam called. Scarlet ws able to burn the opposing Pokemon.
"Rock Tomb!" Korrina commanded. The giant rocks crashed down and lowered Scarlet's speed. Scarlet began to glow with a red aura, which Liam recognized as the sign that Blaze activated.
"Flamethrower!" Liam called.
"Detect!" Korrina called. Meinfoo evaded the attack. It took another hit from the burn and KO'd Scarlet with High Jump Kick. Liam recalled Scarlet and sent out Gallade. The Blade Pokemon emerged with the Megastone bejeweled in a belt. "Double Team!" Liam called. Gallede made many duplicates of himself. Mien's High Jump Kick missed, causing it to crash and hurt itself. From there, the burn finished it. Korrina sent out her final Pokemon, Lucario

Liam and Korrina smirked as in unison they activated Mega Evolution. The stadium was enveloped in blinding light. When the light faded both Pokemon were Mega evolved. A big drawn out battle continued. Most of the battle was continued use of Double Team and Swords Dance by Gallade, Lucario only got a few hits in, and most of those were by the never missing Aura Sphere.
Korrina ordered one final Aura Sphere and Liam rebutted with Stored Power. The collision of the attacks resulted in a huge explosion, leaving both Pokemon unconscious. Since Liam still had one Pokemon in reserve, he won the Rumble Badge.

[Flood]

Ryan clapped and stepped forward. "I do believe its my go now. Let's start things off with a bang." Ryan took his position and ignored the referee, there were no special rules so he didn't care. Korrina started off with Machine and Ryan sent out Mimi. He had put away Amber just for this occasion.

"Mimi, use Psybeam." Ryan called out in a commanding tone as the Machoke began charging Mimi. He didn't have enough time to dodge and was hit by the beam of psychic energy. The Machoke stopped a couple of yards away from Mimi and began swiping at the air trying to get her. He had obviously become confused.
"Mimi, use Disarming Voice." Mimi let out a screech and continued until the Machoke was on the floor knocked out. Korrina called out Mienfoo but Mimi suddenly began to glow. Ryan covered his eyes from the intense glow and after he uncovered them, Mimi was a Meowstic.

Mimi wanted to continue and Ryan let her. "Mimi, use Charge Beam."
"Detect now!" Korrina called out as Mimi fired off an intense beam of electricity. The Mienfoo jumped out of the way and landed closer to Mimi. Mimi glowed slightly as her Special Attack went up.
"Psyshock!" Ryan yelled as Mimi let loose a wave of intense psychic energy. At such close range the Mienfoo was decimated and knocked out. Ryan called Mimi back and sent out Oberon. Korrina sent out her Hawalucha and the battle began.

"Oberon, Swords Dance!" Oberon nodded and spun rapidly as his Attack begun to raise rapidly.
"Hawlucha, Wing Attack!" Hawlucha dashed towards Oberon and Oberon jumped back to avoid the razor sharp wings.
"Oberon, Psycho Cut!" Oberon's arm blades glowed purple as psychic energy flood through them and he sliced the Hawlucha several times. The Hawlucha was badly injured but it began to Roost to regain health.
"Dont let it rest, use Fury Cutter!" Ryan called out as Oberon rushed down the Hawlucha and began slicing it more. By the end Hawlucha was lying on the ground, knocked out and Oberon stood the victor. Oberon put a single foot on the Hawlucha to add insult to injury and called out a three count. He made a motion as if he was ringing an invisible bell and Ryan face palmed. Ryan was given the Rumble Badge and a stern talking to about controlling his Pokemon by Korrina.

He walked back to the group and sighed. "Every single gym leader. Every. Single. One.

Shiranui stepped up after Korrina healed her Pokémon. After the referee stated the rules, Korrina sprung into action. "Machoke, you're up!"
"Yoto, I choose you!" Shiranui pulled Yoto out of his sheath and threw the Honedge into the battlefield as Machoke made an appearance.
"Machoke, Foresight!"
"Yoto, Iron Defense!" Machoke's eyes glowed a red colour as Yoto was identified. Yoto's blade got even harder, sharply raising the Honedge's Defense stat.
"You didn't think I wouldn't have a strategy for Ghost-types, did you?" asked Korrina rhetorically, "Machoke, Vital Throw!"
"Yoto, Aerial Ace!" The Honedge flew at Machoke and struck an unavoidable hit. Machoke grabbed Yoto and threw him away, landing a super effective hit.
"Machoke, Vital Throw once more!"
"Yoto, return; Honoh, I choose you!" Yoto came back to Shiranui, who sheathed the Honedge before sending his Fletchinder out. Machoke threw Honoh for little damage.

"Machoke, Dual Chop!"
"Honoh, Acrobatics!" The Fletchinder put his Gale Wings ability to work and performed a series of acrobatic feats before dive bombing Machoke for a brutal hit, knocking it out.

"Machoke, return; Mienfoo, you're up!" Korrina switched the downed Machoke for her Mienfoo. "Mienfoo, Calm Mind!"
"Honoh, Acrobatics once more!" Honoh performed a few more acrobatic feats, during that time, letting off a bright glow and looking like a meteorite while it was metamorphosing. The glow subsided and Mienfoo was struck by a Talonflame and knocked out.

"Mienfoo, return; Lucario, you're up!" Korrina switched the fallen Mienfoo for her Lucario. "Lucario, Close Combat!"
"Honoh, time to use that new move! Overheat!" Lorrina activated her keystone and Lucario had mega evolved. In spite of the mega evolution, Honoh was faster as he let off a searing flame that inundated the Mega Lucario for a critical hit and left behind a knocked out normal Lucario. Shiranui had won the Rumble Badge.

"Well, let's go back to the Pokemon Center and head out to Coumarine City." Liam said.

[Flood]

"Yeah, quickly." Ryan rushed out of the gym and headed to the Pokemon Center. He got his pokemon healed and waited for the others.

Shiranui soon joined Ryan in the Pokémon Centre.

Liam's Pokemon were returned to him healed. He then called Prof Oak and altered his team. He returned to his friend, ready to move on.

[Flood]

"Off to Coumarine City." Ryan exited the Pokemon Center and headed towards Coumarine City.

Shiranui left after having his Pokémon healed and joined Ryan in making his way for Coumarine City.

The heroes entered Route 12. Liam was looking at a map. "It looks like it is a straight shot to the next city."

Shiranui spotted something on Liam's map. "Looks like we'll be passing some place known as the Baa de Mer Ranch," stated Shiranui.
