Well I've finally got a wonderous amount of free time on my hands. If'n you'll have me I'll have my app up right quick like.

Though going on the whole Young Empire thing, would it be acceptable to go with a Large and horribly inefficient empire? Large in this case probably being 60-80 worlds (not stars, just lots of terraforming, dome cities, space colonies and whatnot). Generally kept in check by a horribly overbearing bureaucracy to not get crazy. Obviously those numbers can change and if the idea isn't kosher then I've got plenty more to toy around with.

You might want to compartmentalize each section and give them their own hiders in order to make the whole thing neater, but otherwise I enjoyed reading through it. Basically there'd be be a Kriegschloss entrusted to make an automated mining facility on an uninhabited planet.
And then they meet your people along the way.

Mostly when one side always mistakes the other as enemy.
Those were tense, fun times.

For example by mentioning you suddenly detected a very large vessel appearing in the system.
Kriegschloss is a rather big ship/colony. 4km long and 1.2km diameter at its widest part. It also travels by creating wormholes.
If you want readings on its energy or propulsion, it chiefly uses gravity drive and its power source is a controlled singularity.
They are made of Durametal and rather thickly armored with that.
I think that information would be enough or maybe even too much.

My ships are likely to be basic, small and without flair.
They use bio-chemicals to propel themselves, so energy readings are likely to be quite low.
They have few weapons, other than basic defensive weaponry.
There are two diplomats on board with a retinue of five bodyguards each. One male and one female. I suppose I can add those details.
Armour is living metal. You might pick up on the whole thing being a life form

It seems you understand exactly what i had in mind. That mysterious unknown whom cannot be fully comprehended.
With a similar curiosity and boredom, intrigued by such weird lifeforms.

Too bad it seems i can't play him. :/ I had a bunch of scenarios already thought out and all.

Perhaps i could make an entire space empire of "ancients" with the same powers and all... oh wait, that would actually be a silly request.
Edit:Also, he would also have slept for a long time and know nothing of the galaxy as it is now. So i'd claim it fits as an emerging empire-ish.
And what can my ancient do? Blow up one or more ships? Other empires can easily do that as well.
But then what? That empire will start to hunt him down, sure he's good at getting away, but with some work that empire could probably find a technology to keep him from escaping, and then he would be hounded til destruction.
