[OOC] Young Justice 2020: Zero Year

Nightwing and most of that generation was never around. Just the occasional oddity. Grayson, the clone Superboy, and some form of Kid Flash will be villains at some point and the only sidekicks before the program who disappeared for unknown reasons.

Is it safe to assume that the Justice League was the only group of superheroes? Without the JSA or 'Titans' generation

Pretty much. But you can just as well recreate one of those characters or use them as a base for an OC, just not the aforementioned three. And they couldn't have been in the Society or Titans groups. If this takes off like the last game I'm going to introduce more on a universal scale. Endrance is actually retrofitting her Queens of Coast City game back to 2020 to start establishing a few female villains since it just got going before the reboot.

Then how about Batman? He catches me trying to steal from Wayne Enterprises and convinces me to switch sides.

Batman was Green Grenade's sponsor for Hellfire, he was leaving for vacation just before the reboot but he'll be returning. Another option could be the Ted Kord version of Blue Beetle, who had his own Kord Technologies. You don't have to have a stealthy mentor, or be like your mentor in any way if you don't want to. Ditto only has the whole being alien and looking human thing in common with Superman.

Maybe it'd be easier if you just listed all of the possibilities. I really don't want to change his backstory to remove the fact that he was a thief.

I guess I could just have a non-stealthy mentor, but they'd have to be able to track me to find out my secret. I guess Cyborg could do that.

I actually have a couple more characters available in this universe if other possibilities open up. Hopefully no more reboots lol.

I did not realize returning character from before needed to do a sample post as well, Guess I'll have to get to work on that one as I never thought about it.

@TheUnknowable I mentioned the Asian female Dr. Light earlier, Cyborg is still a good choice with all his tech and gadgetry, Mr. Terrific [Michael Holt] is another gadgeteer, I suppose you could say the ringless/retired Hal Jordan or John Stewart [also w/o ring] sponsored you without being an active hero himself, there's the Atom, Black Lightning, Plastic Man [another former crook turned hero], Booster Gold, Capt. Atom, etc.

Raven could work too depending on how you spin it though it might mean you didn't get a power suit till after joining the 'Program.

Raven tracked me down magically after she lost me after a theft. During her investigation she found out about my sister, and, after beating me, offered to pull some strings on my behalf if I turned. I agreed, to keep my sister out of orphanages and because I'd rather help people than hurt them (I just needed the money too much before, but now the League is paying me.) During my "community service" she trained me to resist the effects of darkness more and, once I was done, she got me a spot on the team. She also got Cyborg to build me the suit Dr. Light promised me and got Cyborg to upgrade it with hardlight shields that run on internal light (if that's ok).

How's that.
