Sorom breathed a sigh of relief, unfortunately now both his demons were tired and he was out of both explosive tags and down to one kunai making the both of them not exactly raring for a fight. One of Kanobu's demons tugged on his shirt bringing his attention to Kanobu. Sorom dropped down next to him, "Can you move? I think there are more beetles out there; it would've been nice if we knew they had an army of them. And where are Shiro and Tozuken? Bah no matter, do we think should we abort or try to find a way to sneak past them?" Sorom said quickly, whatever they decided to do it would have to be fast, he didn't want to stay in one place for any longer then he had to.

"We.." He started, getting up was difficult with his injuries. "We must find our comrades." Kanobu seemed to be set on that, not wanting to ignore them.

"But we've got beetles to worry about. I didn't plan for the enemy to be so strong and ready to invade as they have here." he seemed better when he pet the vulpix. "Chances are that konoha is going to get attacked if we are found and killed. Konoha has no idea what's coming... But what exactly is coming? Do you sense any more enemy units around us?"

Sorom resisted the urge to sigh, finding their teammates was good and all but not if they died trying to. He singled to Gallade nontheless to see if he could sense anything and returned to the conversation keeping his voice low, "Do you have any idea where they are? Or how to find them?" he asked grasping for any thing that could help them at this point.

Gallade tried to find enemies but he couldn't only picking up the new ghost demons that were looming around the forest at this hour in the night. If any time was a good time to return home, it would be before the Trevevant were out and about. Haunter was already picking up their signals too. It seemed that the forest was going to be haunted off the regular cycle. Thankfully both shinobi had hypnosis at their disposal if the need arose.

"Ghost demons at this time of year?" Kanobu asked. "Fall isn't for a few months! How can they be so..."

"Psychic energy may have triggered their presence. While I was out, did Gallade or Ralts create any sort of psychic.. uh beacon?" Kanobu knew that Haunter was attracted to psychic energy sometimes even lured to it like a moth to a flame.

Sorom shrugged, "Weeeeeellllllllll. Yeah. We were being chased by an army of beetles so I burned all of my explosive tags and a great deal of pyscic power killing most of them. So yeah beacon might be a weak word for it. As far as I know I didn't even get all the beetles, they must have at least hundreds of them." He said somehat irraited. He should've remembered that certain demons were attratced to large amounts of psycic energy.

"No matter, Konoha will already be aware of it by now. We'll have to head through the forest. It shouldn't be a long journey since we're only hours away.." Kanobu tried standing up but fell back down from the pain. "If we hurried..." He fell to one knee then to his arms.

"Poison?" He wondered out loud. "Moonlight, Umbron." He pulled out a scroll which summoned one of his demons. The creature obeyed the command then her yellow rings glowed causing the light of the moon to shine down. Kanobu got back up to his feet.

Moaning echoed over the forest. The demons of the forest were beginning to appear. If they caught the shinobi then they'd be in more danger. One turned to look at the group, beginning to run at them. One hope was to defeat them but doing so would further exhaust the party. A common trick was to put them to sleep instead.

Haunter jumped in front of his master, using Hypnosis. It failed unfortunately so the demon was still going at them.

Sorom cursed, he wasn't sure they could deal with a swarm of demons at this point. Trying to defeat it would no doubt attract the others so he could only hope that he could deal with it. Deciding Gallade needed to save his strength one way or the other he stepped right in front of it staring it down and used genjustsu to attempt to put it to sleep, having Ralts assist him.

The genjutsu worked on the demon. So in its rush it fell flat on its face. Kanobu and his demons were careful to avoid it while moving around the body. (Dat ralts assist though.)

The forest was big with many trees everywhere. In a place very easy to get lost at night, Kanobu wondered how well the others knew the way back to Konoha. Coming to a forest path they had to choose two seemingly identical directions.

"Which way do you think it is?" Kanobu seemed tired and unable to determine it for himself. "Left or right?"

(So Im gunna be giving you a lot of choices in this next section)

Sorom gave a sigh of relief, one catastrophe avoided, who could say how many more would happen tonight. Sorom sighed, he had little more idea than Kanobu at this point but it seemed he was being given the deciding vote, looking both ways and unable to determine any significant differences he went with the old logic, "Well lets go the right way." and proceeded to do just that Ralts and Gallade scanning the left and right of the path respectively, while Sorom just looked around hoping to catch anything they didn't.

Choosing the right path, they headed through thick trees and low branches. Ducking several times they found it easier to crawl in some parts. This path hadn't been used in years.

"An old trade route?" Kanobu asked quietly.

As they traveled around Gallade and Ralts discovered a demon ahead. This one was unware of them, walking in a slow sway left and right as it moved along the path. Hiding seemed possible but that choice was left to Gallade and Ralt's master who would be made aware first.

Sorom groaned quietly, no just making it through the forest would be too easy. They could try hiding and going around it but it might notice them anyway "We finish this quickly." he said in ghostly quite voice and commanded Ralts and Gallade to attack. Ralts struck from the back with a perplexing purple attack and Gallade brought his arm down on its head in a brutal chop.

Their sneak attack failed as Ralt's purple attack struck the dirt path to the left of the demon. Gallade's dual chop was met with the air as the ghost demon was able to avoid any harm. Taking the opportunity it hit Gallade with a shadow claw, striking at the chest (minus 1 dice in this fight).

"Vulpix, ember." Kanobu said, hoping his demon would be able to harm the demon. The ember failed to hit the ghost demon and landed beside of it instead.

"Looks like it's another fight." The shinobi said, wondering if the battle would attract any attention from other creatures.

(Ralt's attack was too low despite type advantage, then Gallade's roll was hindered by type disadvantage and the ghost was able to phase through the attack. So you can battle, retreat, or figure out something else.)

Sorom growled angrily, they didn't have time for this, no doubt if they didn't take care of it now it would be even more trouble. He should've know it was a ghost type. Ralts repeated its attack with more force, and Gallade attacked this time lavender tinted blades of force coated its arms and viciously stuck out at the ghost demon.

Thinking it was the same trick, trevenant didnt dodge gallades attack. Instead if passing threw the ghostly body the demon was cut from head to root by the attack then banished by Ralts's powerful strike.

Now quiet again they could continue forward with haste. The path turned into an old road with many stones dotting their path. One could see an old shrine guarded by a unique Chimecho.

Its square shaped body was semi transparent but its two glowing eyes illuminated inside like a torch. It wore a cover on its head with a small purple flame on its peak. The flag of this demon was black with the pattern of blue flames over the tip. It hovered over the shrine, dancing an illuminating the old wooden box.

It seemed unphased by the humans and thier demons, as if the shrine took precidence over possible danger.

(Chimeco ssubspecies is lampent. Gallade and ralts can tell you that it's none hostile if they scan for it.)

Sorom frowned, it seemed they were running into demons nonstop. Luckily it seemed as though this one was more preoccupied with its little shrine then anything else. Somewhat curious Sorom looked at the shrine to see if there was anything particularly noticeable before moving on, they needed to keep moving

Moving on from the shrine, the road leads them toward a fork. On the left there's an obvious demon walking around in circles. Wondering if it's confused, Kanobu sent haunter to go take a peak. On the other road however, is a large clearing as if the woods had been recently cut away, revealing anyone who walked through.

"Seems like we'll be facing that Trevenant or going through what might be a trap." The shinobi said. When haunter returned it indicated that the Trevanent was alone. "Perhaps we can.." the shinobi looked up into the trees. There was a Spinarak making a web above their heads. It seemed that spider demons were home to this area. "I guess we can't use the trees to get around very quickly."

Taking out a scroll from his pocket, the shinobi summoned a small package. Opening it to retrieve a small pill, the shinobi held it gently in his hand. "If I take the pain killer now then I'll become woozy quickly. But If I don't then I may not be able to move as quickly... I'll hold off." Setting the pill back in the box he waited for Sorom to make a decision.

"These old roads seem so familiar. We can't be too far anymore."

Sorom glanced over both paths. "Better the devil you know then the devil you don't so to speak." he said quitely and made his way down that path with treveant. He waited until the demon's meandering turned its back to the group then Gallade silently charged forward aiming to finish it in a single blow, using the same technique that had dealt with the other one. Ralts opted to boost Gallde's strength instead of making an attack of its own.

The Trevenant was sliced in half, but seeing the two parts rip, the area around them was quiet except for a quiet whispering. Launching a shadow ball from the branches above, a Trevenant attacked Gallade, striking the Gallade and harming him. (-1 Die for this fight).

Sorom cursed as another Trevanat appeared. He hadn't been prepared for more than one, fool me once he thought grimly before saying, "Destroy it." confidently, Gallade turned around furiously and headbutted the demon, Ralts infusing the attack with additional power.

The Trevenant, evaded. Its eye caught on Sorom who was barking orders. The demon released a shadow ball against that shinobi then seemed to vanish in the blink of an eye. Gallade's attack and Ralts's assist were useless as their technique slice through the air like shooting an airball.

"Where'd he go?" Kanobu asked.. "can you sense him?"

Then from behind Sorom, the Trevenant appeared. Using the moment to surprise Sorom it slashed at the shinobi's body. Just when everyone thought it's assault was over, the Trevenant's body glowed with a dark hue of blue. Looking Sorom directly it seemed eager for a response attack.

Having little time to react it seemed this particular demon had seen a life time of combat and was very quick among other things.
