Are we all ok with 5th edition?
All have a char in mind?
Any complaints?

Where does it say you can pick 16 for all stats at the GM's discretion? It seems stupidly OP for something any previous version of D&D, don't know about 5th or 4th

Okay, made this myself, works pretty well.
Base stats are all 8.
You have 34 normal points to spend.
These 34 normal points cannot raise your stats above 17.
You then roll a d10.
The roll determines how many ancestral points you get. The ancestral point can be spent anywhere but can also raise stats to 18+.
If any single stat is an 18 then you must roll a d20 to see if you can spend more points on that stat. If you roll a 7 or less then you can spend 1 more ancestral point in that stat. You must repeat the d20 roll to see if you can raise the stat by a further 1 each time.
Some of this is down to chance, as so is life.
Thoughts?
as so is life.
Could I get a sort of character skeleton to work with for the stats? I'm not great with the whole maths thing so that would be a massive help.
Dungeons and Dragons is fantasy.
