I've been reading some of the others' ways to cope with people gunning them down. Is this the intended power level? I've had something much weaker in mind - but if all is well I will adjust.

I may have gone off the rails with mine. We can say it was a one time thing, or call that the upper limit of her powers that she won't normally be able to reach.

The power level is up to the players, but things start to get crazy in the way of God Modding, then i'll step in. The varied power levels are a good thing actually,, since later on that would establish the level system like in the comics. From Omega to Beta or whatever it is.

going off the rails would be like my guy running so fast he can travel back in time..lol. i'd say do what you feel like your character would do Peaceless.. everyone develops their powers differently, like in the comic, we all wont be at the same level.. and i liked your post Gisk, she was not a happy happy mutant, but really who would be being shot at??
