@Cyclone I'll leave it to the people. It's no bother to me either way. :)

@AlfhedilAgain, you keep accusing me for something I haven't particularly done in this RP.
I told my opinion on things and that's it. I also mentioned a few things about WW2 but I don't think I ever tried to use any sense of authority to change other nations. If you saw it like that then I honestly ask you to read my posts again.
I don't intend to step on other people's turf in general.

@Cyclone
Yeah, starting a world war right with the first post may be not the smartest idea.
I want other developments first. Growing tension, minor wars, etc.
I don't mind if my country finds itself in a mess but a World War would overshadow practically anything else.

@Willy Vereb

I gave the brief summary; it wouldn't be as rapid as I explained. Tin would probably gradually piss nations off one by one, by following through with their threats to shoot down any nation's planes and by impounding foreign ships and impressing their sailors. It'd also take a while for the global economy to start reeling from the sudden closure of an entire market. If Avalia declared war immediately (which might mot even be the case) then it might be a while before other nations get embroiled and start piling in, so you could do whatever while the war remains isolated.

This doesn't have to happen right away, either. How soon this begins and how quickly we bring other nations in can be determined once we choose which conflict to go with.

Willy, you shove you ideas down everyone's throats. It's very annoying, and what's worse is that you apparently don't realize how extraordinarily rude you are in your behavior.

You're not critiquing or starting friendly discussions, you're just bothering everyone over nothing. I've read your arguments, and they don't even make sense. You keep talking about what was possible in WW2, and I don't know if you've noticed-but this is fictional.

Nobody cares if his/her AA defenses were possible in WW2, and even if they did most people are willing to drop it because this is a silly hobby. But you can't seem to stop until you "win". You'll just keep bringing up reference after reference until someone gives up. Stop it, please, you're ruining this Roleplay. I like your nation, and I don't want you to drop out, but could you please just cool down your absurd arguments against everyone who does anything not possible in reality?

Look, Alfhedil's AA defense is entirely, irrefutably impossible in any sort of reality. I accept that, I know that. But I was never going to bug him/her with it because...well, who cares? Just leave us and our impossible technology alone.

---

Alright, Voltus_Ventus, I'll stop now. That was the last out burst, I promise :)

I hope...

What he said. Tension is always a better way, that way when it bursts out and the bombs go off (there will be bombs) it makes more sense. Plus, I personally find it more entertaining that way. Watching as both sides move the daggers closer to the other's throat.

Also, if you don't want an immediate war the trade dispute seems like a better choice. With the island conflict and the bombing, your nation is one of the main belligerents and there's no avoiding a war as soon as that takes place, which Voltus seems to want as the very first IC post.

Wa. People aren't picking the one that i was hoping they would!

But on a serious note, like I just said to Willy, I maintain that a trade dispute will cause tension and escalate much slower than what Tin would see as an invasion of lands they own (the elves setting up colonies) and a subsequent attack (the bombings). There's also the point that more nations would have reason to get involved in the trade dispute idea. Aside from Tin and its close friends and Yllendthyr and its friends (and the PRK puppet masters) what countries would even care about the island conflict?

Actually, I think the islands are perhaps a better choice. I won't argue against the trade war, however- because I can certainly see the appeal- but I think the islands sound more interesting and bring up the communism/capitalism dispute better (which is always a major interest of mine)

Just casting my vote, is all.

Look, clearly you did/wrote something that upset her and from what I can deduce it's all the factual stuff and the pointing out that something isn't accurate, even though you do it just to reference and not forcing someone to change. So I'm asking you, please, to not.

I can see that you are all good RPers, as your rebuttals are larger then most things I write and I'd rather have us being friends then glaring daggers at eachother.
The funny part is that I don't know what his problem, either.
It seems to me he's using a poisoning the well strategy by piling up a bunch of assumptions on me without anything collateral backing it up.
That's why I take his accusations with mix of surprise and wonder. Especially since certain players seem to agree with him on something which didn't even happen.

But yeah, I seriously don't want any of this argument.
It just bothers me when somebody accuses me with something I haven't actually done at all.
If anyone took offense on me telling my honest and reserved opinion then I apologize.
But you should also look into yourselves. Like I said if you have zero tolerance for critique then I can't see a bright future for the RP.
I so wish that to not happen though.
So yeah, let's bury whatever imaginary hatchet we have here. Because I don't remember getting into a war with people to begin with.

@HaelUm, it seems you only skimmed through my post then.
I even gave Alfhedil suggestions how he could make the Iron Wall live up to its reputation.
I also conceded that if we'd look into it other nations could have similar issues or worse and I apologized him for nitpicking on his nation's policy.
Like I said this superficial reading leads to somebody thinking "oh no, that bastard dised me!" and missing the actual context.
I don't wish to win an argument here because I wish an argument wouldn't have started to begin with.
I actually wish to clear up a misunderstanding.

I'd like to say that I still like the original idea, and that it doesn't necessarily have to start a world war, it can just be what begins a new era of international tension.

So I'm cool with what we have to start out with, and then that other stuff can just be the escalation.

Fine. Unless the others that aren't online swoop in and vote for the trade dispute, I guess we'll do this. The islands first, then maybe the Avalia conflict later once Tin has licked its wounds.

I was hoping that you'd choose the trade dispute... Wrote like two paragraphs about the bombing but deleted them because I thought people would side on the trade...

Well the vote is 2 against 3 then. Of course, as GM you can always make your vote count for three so that our side wins lol

I'm fine with either but if possible I prefer slow escalation.
I want to write some posts about Yllendthyr actually being in peace.

No, I've read your whole posts, sometimes two or even three times to make sure I didn't miss anything. Everything I said still stands entirely, and I've read every word of your post in detail. I am not the type to argue about something I don't understand.

You know, if it's really a big deal I can change my vote. It only matters a little, as long as I get to bomb some Kal-hating heathens and yell something dramatic about the god of fire

Does this switch it to three in our favor and two for the islands?

I was joking with my last post, but if you feel this way then we could actually go with the trade dispute
