@MihndarNoted. I'm not really remembering stuff in most of RPs atm since I have finals in less than a week plus a whole shitstorm of things for the summer so don't expect me to be too keen on remembering what is happening most of the time. (I've already stated I'll actually start doing things with Yamatai in a few months if this is still alive. I'll probably start a world war for the hell of it XD)

Although can I ask, is she full blooded or half-blooded? Most Yamatai people wouldn't leave the home land mostly due to the propoganda of most other people being "dirty gaijins" and since they've been isolationists for like the last century XD

Yeah, RL can be a pain sometimes~

Full-blooded, most of the foreign people in my country are there because of fleeing whatever authoritarian regime and because of being communist. I presume she was one of the few communists in Yamatai and left the country to join the PRK'S cause, or alternatively she could be a turncoat Yamatai spy if you'd be okay with that, to spice things up

My nation has almost no real diversity or immigrants

...admittedly, that does speak volumes about how it's just a shitty place to live.

I actually meant to speak to you about that, I was wondering if there would be a significant number of Kaliabis/Kallabis hanging around Tin?

Shifting the topic a bit, how eould Yllendthyr feel if Tin suddenly sent a few hundred thousand more men into the Zanjir as reinforcements, then rushed to establish control over the few remaining unoccupied islands?

And then what would they do if Tin's violence was enough to drive hordes of starving, terrified native refugees across the border to your islands?
Had to leave before I could answer this question before.
Well, it would heavily depend on the situation.
Yllendthyr sure won't like if you march hundreds of thousands of soldiers near their borders and may call up reinforcements from the Brascad.
Although before that at least they would give a stern warning to the Tinite Sultan. Same for the mistreatment of the Zanjir citizens.
Especially since their friends the Avalians would likely pressure Yllendthyr to take action.
As for the refugees, Yllendthyr has no choice but to accept them.
Albeit he may also decide to retrain them as soldiers since they certainly have the motivation to fight the Tinite oppression.
Really, it all depends on the situation.
Yllendthyr in general is very open and diplomatic but they can be also quite sinister if the opportunity arises.
The fact they got dibs on Zanjir is mostly thanks to the latter.
Just look at the position.
There are about 3 countries between Yllendthyr and Zanjir.
Yet somehow Yllendthyr established colonies over there.
Did you ever wonder why and how?

Kallibs are welcome in Yllendthyr, too.
Albeit they might prefer to lessen their exposure to crotchskulls.

I briefly mention in my sheet that:

1) Tin doesn't really like immigrantion in general, but they DO often hire foreign workers to temporarily stay.
2) Ajdar converts have a decent shot at being allowed in, but for the most part Tin doesn't like taking in huge waves of immigrants. Unless the converts are fleeing from something really bad, Tin probably wouldn't let them move in by the thousands, at least not all at once.
3) About 99% of Tin's recognized citizens are ethnic Tinites. (Granted, this still means 2.5 million people of other ethnicities, and Kallabis would probably make up the majority of these).
4) Most large cities have at least some minority races, but they tend to congregate into small neighborhoods and communities and keep to themselves.

So there would be some Kallabs living in Tin permanently, probably dominated by those in KalMea that talked to the Tinites and ended up converting to Ajdar. There would be a lot more foreigners there simply to work for a while, with these people probably being exclusively from KalMea, Ventium, and Dong Wei as these are the only nearby nations that don't hate Tin.

That'd be interesting, but I fear that might be powerplaying on part to have a spy in a high place in a foreign nation. If you can't tell, I try really hard to prevent myself from powerplaying although it has limited amounts of success at times.

I find it interesting that Yllendthyr would object to mistreatment of the native humans, considering that the elven overlords sort of have an apartheid state going on. In any case, I just wondered because what I said is most likely going to happen. I can't see Babur being spineless or passive when it comes to the Zanjir; he's going to try to get those islands in a vice grip, which means sending in more soldiers to maintain order and occupying/building forts in the islands that the Tinites haven't landed on yet.

Well, humans are second class citizens but citizens of Yllendthyr regardless. Favoring one race doesn't mean they ignore the rest. Not anymore.
Also it has been centuries since they treated humans like slaves. The generation or even the sons of the generation which typically mistreated humans are mostly dead.
More importantly, Yllendthyr needs to maintain a certain image to the world. They can't be viewed as barbarians, aren't they?
Also to be fair, Elves are nowadays crafty as hell and view immigrant waves as a method to get their hands on a cheap workforce. It's a win-win situation.

Anyways, if you just establish forts and generally tighten the military grip then it probably just make Yllendthyr wary of you. They'd reinforce their positions in response and may ask you to ease on arming the islands. They'd probably do it in this order because they'd know that Tin would not listen to them. They only warn you in order to put the world's attention to your actions. And well, to say that "they tried".

And now I have a question. Would Tin even allow Zanjir citizens to emigrate to Yllendthyr?
I mean your future subjects running away is counterproductive. Not to mention Tin's usual stance to people leaving their country.

Of course Tin is going to be mad that their little slaves workers and potential converts are running into the hands of a rival, presumably to join said rival's army.

And just wait and see what they do in response once that begins to happen. Sanjar Khan will hatch a rather clever plan.

I meant that she would be a former Yamatai spy on the PRK and that she changed allegiances and started working for us instead. Which could be grounds for some diplomatic tension.

Ohh... Sorry I didn't get it before. Sure, that can happen but can I ask how and why a Yamatai spy became an intelligence for the PRK? Just due to ideology? Since if so, I'm wondering how she was picked up as a spy in the first place, most nations tend to recruit spies loyal to the state and its ideals.

On another note, keep her as far away from Yamatai as possible. There's a very high chance her transport might get ambushed by "criminals and outlaws" if she was to return anywhere near home XD

@SkepicYou mentioned Velikaya's full name and only referred to Radidnahr en'Lóthien Gosodnelh as the "Prime Minister".
If Yllendthyr thought police would exist the PM would get deeply insulted.
He didn't even ask you to repeat his 97 words long name in Old Elvish.

Anyways, I guess it's time for me to post, too.

This is going to be an... interesting diplomatic meeting.

It gladdens my heart to know you know how to spell Velikaya, Willy XD

@ClocktowerEchos

She could have been exposed to it during her time spying and been converted to the idea.

@Mihndar Go for it then.

I'm also thinking of situation where she captures a Yamatai spy who also happens to be related to her by cousin or sibling if that's fine with you. Moral event horizons for everyone, yay!
