That made Aban slightly frightened. "We should get dressed and leave," he said, getting up. He dressed as quickly as possible. "Wait here and lock the door. I'm going to turn the key in. Can you squeeze through that window over there?"
Aban nodded and put his cloak on, fastening his sword to his hip. In the lobby he saw Lyon and hid his face, turning to the old man and handing him a few gold pieces with his key. "We were never here," he whispered. The man nodded. "Come again!" he said pleasantly. Aban went outside by the window he'd ordered Ilana to wait by.
Aban nodded, taking his cloak off and draping it around Ilana. As he clasped it, he gave the angel brief kiss on the lips. "We need to travel off the roads for a while," he said.
She nodded and nuzzled him shaking. "Come lets hurry" she started to wlak. Meanwhile Lyon motioned his ment to stop. "I will search the inn you search the town for the fallen that killed one of us"
Aban led the way into the forest, drawing his sword in case they ran into trouble. He sang quietly to pass time.
"Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Mist and shadow, cloud and shade, All shall fade! All shall fade!"
She smiled listening to him she made sure her wings were hidden in her back. Lyon walked in and looked at the old man here. "Have you seen a girl with long red hair here she is a fallen angel and she killed one our own"
The old man shook his head insistently. "No, sir," he said. "I'm a devout Christian-- I do not drink and I do not lie, especially to those doing the Lord's work."
The man watched the paladin go.At noon the two came to a stream. "We can rest now, if you need to," Aban said. He was a little tired himself, sweat on his brow.
Meanwhile Iliana and Aban were a good few hours away from the town and she looked at him. "I am find I dont need rest for a couple more office though I could use some soothing hot water for the parts that are hurting down there
Aban blushed. "Well, the only hot water is back thataway," he said, "but I'm not letting you go back there." He turned, nuzzled Ilana's cheek and neck.
She nodded holding his hand and nuzzled his shoulder before walking more. It was close to night time when they hit another town that looked like it hasnt been touched by war in years.
