Ason High: School of Summoning

Hi-Summoner Realmor walked up to the podium in the middle of the stage. He gazed at the thousands of students sitting in the auditorium waiting for him to start. Today was to be the celebration of the school's 100th anniversary since Ason the great established it in 1920. Realmor closed his eyes and began to concentrate, he said a few lines of incantation and a bright light filled the room. Once it dissipated a large bird with feathers of shimmering gold rested on his right shoulder.

"Students! Today is the celebration of a most grand occasion! Today is the day, that the father of summoning, the Great Hi-Summoner Ason established this magnificent school! As such, in order to celebrate such a joyous occasion, the school will add a new grade level so that younger students can enter this prestigious and learn the ways of summoning. After much research and discussion, it has been decided that this new program will start at the beginning of the new school year."

General Info:
This is a world similar to earth, although summoning has always been apart of society. The technology is about the same as what we have, except for the fact that it is general knowledge to know the different planes of existence in which summoned creatures exist. The school will be similar to highschool except that there are 5 years of study instead of the usual 4. Characters will start as first year students so expect to create a character around the ages of 14-16.

Depending on what summon you have, you will be given a license that will explain the restrictions of where you can summon your creature.

I will post more details later, I would just like to see some interest before I go more in-depth.

Summons can be graded into various categories:

Dark Spirit Large 6+ feet tall (Fairly rare to have large summon)

I was wondering if you wanted an anime, realistic, or real life photo for the characters and summons. Also, do they hear the summon's thoughts in their head even when they're not physically present, or can they only communicate verbally after the creature has been summoned?

@Narcotic Dollie To answer that question, simply put. Its all up to you.

If your summon turns out to be an object, having speak verbally might be a little strange but hey; there are a lot of summons out there.

As for pictures, it really doesn't matter at all. I like to picture it as anime just because it has that type of feel to it, although real life pictures are fine too.

Some people can can communicate great distances with their summons, others can only speak within hearing range. As previously stated. Its up to you.

Some main things about this city in which we live in:

Arena: Take your summon there to fight, gain glory, money, or just show off. Ranking goes from E -> D -> C -> B -> A -> S

Police HQ: Got a problem? Breaking a rule? Getting a license? This is place you will be going to.

Hospital: Injuries, sickness, couples counseling (For summoners and their summons)

Ason Highschool: Most story and daily life will be here, the class schedule is as follows.

School Start: 8:00 am

Period 1: Homeroom (finish up homework, study for quiz/exam, getting ready for the school day)
Period 2: Daily Studies (Math, Science, English, History)
Period 3: Elemental Planes of Existence
Period 4: Teamwork / Exercise

School Ends 3:00 pm

Her parents were both summoners of some renown, her father back in the day made it to S rank in the arena, and her mother is a very famous fashion designer. She is the CEO of the famous clothesline "Chic Gray". They moved because they wanted Meeka to have more social opportunities and make more friends. (she really didn't have any living in the countryside.

Personality: Arsenia, nicknamed, 'Sen' by her friends, is an athletic and very competitive girl who loves a good fight. Outside of battle she is easy going, though she does not tolerate bullying of any sort. She gets decent marks in general studies, but does struggle with history.

Bio: Arsenia grew up in Felmont City and lives in an apartment close to Ason High with her father. Sen is an only child whose mother divorced her father when she was three years old and hasn't visited since. Sen doesn't miss her mother, seeing as how she doesn't really remember her, and is happy living with her father, who loves her very much. Her dad is a low level summoner (only level D) and is a supervisor at a local supermarket, so he keeps long hours and isn't home very often.

Personality: Nosk pretty much keeps to himself, but when he does speak it's usually to hurl insults at people, much to the horror of his summoner. He considers Arsenia to be slightly more competent than other humans and is slowly becoming more fond of her, though he is not above directing a scathing remark in her direction every once in a while. Despite all of this Nosk is surprisingly affectionate. He is known for standing close to humans, brushing against them, or bumping his head into their hands until they scratch his ears.

Bio: Nosk does not talk about his past to anyone.

Personality: Always keeps a cool demeanor, or at least looks like he does. Has a firm grasp on academic subjects, so he's not lacking in intelligence. However, he's not the social type, so he does tend to keep to himself most of the time, although he will lend his aid to whoever needs it.
Bio: Born and raised in Felmont City with his mother, father, and 2 younger brothers. Being the firstborn child, there was a lot of pressure on him to be the most successful child. Of course, that's not to say that he wasn't. He worked hard throughout his life and did what he could with his spare time to help with chores and keep his younger brothers out of trouble. Both his parents are low-level summoners (E), but Press worked to rise higher than that at least.

Personality: In sharp contrast to Press, Megumi is outgoing and talkative. She smiles at people often, usually in a "I'm gonna have fun beating you up" manner, and tends to look for fights, whether to watch one or get involved in one. Despite that, it's not uncommon for her to be friendly to others, especially Press.

Name: Edward "Edge" Seraph

Personality: Smart, yet lazy making A's on exams and only ever trying if it's interesting or he needs it to pass. Mischievous, often causing trouble or finding some get into especially if it involves a good prank. Very self righteous prone to fight bullies or anyone whose being picked on. Kleptomaniac, often steals objects he doesn't need mostly because he can.

Bio: Edward was not a blessed child. His mother died in childbirth and his father a respected business refused to claim him. Thus Edward was to an orphanage in Felmont city, the boy grew taught himself to read, learn to fight when other tried to take his dinner. Learned to steal to get his toys, learned to run that way too. However at age ten after yet another failed adoption he ran away. He got by on the streets attending school and evading police he was considered a pest by most.

Edward lives in a strange place, after he ran away he found an abandon Church, clearing out the cellar he made his home there. It may seem strange that a none religious person would find peace in a church yet strangely Edge did. Edge's summoner talent came as a latent surprise, he has yet to ranked but scored very high on exam to enter. Edge will defiantly be a wild card.

Personality: Forceful, while she is an Angel Auriel does not seem to be a pacifist or for that matter opposed to violence period. Optimistic, Auriel believes in good will and justice, she can't help but see the world as something pure and clean.
