[IC] Black Butler: Curse of the Zodiac

Lady Shade was sitting in the small café, waiting for the call. She had a short meeting with Lord Phantomhive then she was off on another case. Bane, her wolf demon partner, was laying on the floor next to her, pretending to sleep. But he was her alarm system today. She looked around, watching the busy London street and tapped her fingers on the tea cup sitting before her. "His late...think anything went wrong?" Bane opened one eye and said "You know the time of day, the traffic is going to be a nightmare." She nodded, checking her watch again. She had a few hours before she was to be in Japan, not that the way she traveled would make it hard to get there. This new case she had was putting her on edge and she wanted the Lords comments on it before she left. He was the only one apart from her who had seen his share of the odd. Of course she had never met him in person. It had all been thru the post so she had no idea what him or his butler as the lord called him were like. But she would soon find out as her watch went off signaling that it was noon.

[Luna]

Soon the door to the cafe opened revealing the infamous earl phantomhive with his butler faithfully by his side. he walked over and sat down. "Hello Lady Shade sorry for the lateness the travel had kept us from coming here on time" he said coldly as Sebastian stood by his side looking at them with his arms behind his back after taking off his jacket and put in on his seat behind him revealing his usual blue outfit he wore when he was going out.

Lady Shade blinked, slightly taken aback. HE was a boy? that was not what she expected. Until she saw the butler and her eyes glowed for a moment. Ah, now it made sense. She smiled and said "No worries, my lord. The city is busy....I see that we have more in common then I thought" Bane chuckled from under the table, opening his eyes now. She reached into her bag and pulled out a file and handed it to Ciel. "I have a case in Japan that I wanted your...thoughts on. Its a tricky one and I like to talk thoughts and ideas with someone on the outside before I get into trouble" She opened the file and it had info on a Soma family. "Seems they have a lot of secrets...and one of them has out them on someone's list. Sadly I don't know the secrets, so it makes my job very hard to say the least. I was hoping to have your thoughts before I left"

[Luna]

Ciel looked at the file and read over it. "Hmmm it does sound tricky perhaps we should visit this family head on and find out, if they don't answer well I have ways of making them answer" Ciel looked at his butler. "Sebastian clear my schedule and get me a boat to Japan" he said Sebastian, the butler, bowed and said. "Yes my lord" he stood straight and left the two alone. "Do you wish to come to Japan with us since this is your case" he asked

She looked at Ciel and said "I forgot you were a take charge person...you really don't have to come. But if you feel it would make the job easier then by all means. I guess this will be a team effort, right Bane?" The wolf raised his head and nodded, trying not to talk around normal people. She folded her fingers together and said "Now...why don't you tell me about your 'butler'. His not a normal chap is he"

[Luna]

"No he is not Lady Shade, he is the one who is going to take my soul once I get my revenge on my parents death" he said rubbing the eye patch above his right eye looking at her with a single sapphire blue eye before putting his hand back down at the table. Their food came and Ciel ate slowly. "So how have you been Lady Sahde" he asked the wolkf before him.

She drank from her tea and said "Busy. The main reason I thought a face to face with this meeting would be more helpful then a letter. A lot of dark things in the world today...Bane and I have been out of the city for two months straight. Can't even take a breath" She took a few bites from her food then said "The deal with you two...I haven't seen one of those in a while...old school. Bane here has a different kind of...deal with me" Bane chuckled again.

He chuckled "Well Im glad you are doing good though Lady Shade since I havent seen you in a while" he said softly his eye softening. Soon Sebastian returned and smiled. "I have it all done now my lord' he said bowing to him. "Thank you Sebastian and oh yes Lady Shade will be coming with us you are to treat her with respect as if she was me you got it" Sebastian smiled and bowed. "Yes my lord" he stood back up his smile more playful.

Maggie smiled at the butler and said "It will be a pleasure to work with you..." She yawned and Bane raised his head. "When was the last time you slept my lady?" She waved her hand and said "Sleep doesn't come for the ones who work hard...no time for sleep" Bane sighed as she checked her watch and said "When does the boat leave? I have my bags here so I can leve whenever" Now that they were face to face, Ciel and Sebastain could see the lady had dark shadows under her eyes. She had been working a lot lately.

[Luna]

Ciel looked worried "Perhaps you should rest on the way there and the boat will be here tomorrow morning so you can sleep at my home so when we leave we wont have to waste unnecessary time trying to pick each other and be late for the trip" Ciel said taking the case file and gave it to Sebastian. "Put that in safe keeping Sebastian" he smiled and bowed saying 'Yes my lord'.

Maggie looked at him and said "I'm fine, but having a place to stay for the night would be nice...bane and I don't have a place in town at the moment..." Bane stood up and shook his fur out. "You need rest my lady, we've barely taken a break since we left for Asia two months ago" lady shade stood up and waved the waiter over so she could pay. "I need to do more research before we leave....rest will have to wait"

"Perhaps you should let my butler do the research for you he will get it faster" Ciel said looking at her with a slightly worried look. Sebastian smiled. "Please Mi'lady allow me to do the research for you and the case" he said walking closer to the table his red eyes looking at her his white gloved hand resting on his chest.

Maggie stood firm as she said "We can talk more about this when we get to your home, my lord...for now, let us get out of here and on our way" She paid the waiter for both meals and then headed out to the street, Bane looking at the pair. "Shes a stubborn girl, you both should know. But I'm worried. She's been on full speed for weeks and it will start affecting her and her...skills. If you can get her to rest, please do. She's all I have in this world" Bane walked out to follow his partner.

Ciel nodded and the two followed them to the carriage. Sebastian opened the door smiling at them waiting for them to enter the carriage so he could take them back to the phantomhive manor before looking at Bane. "Don't worry my master is very good at getting people to whatever he wishes them to do" he said with a smile before closing the door and got in the seat so he could steer the horses

Bane jumped up to sit next to Sebastain, not liking being in a closed space. "Lets hope that his more stubborn then she is..." Lady Shade was looking over her copy of the file while they rode, muttering softly to herself until she said "Says here that there is a girl outside of the family that might be a target...she must know more about the family...maybe we can get information from her"

[Luna]

"Hmm yes it does. Tohru Honda is her name and she seems to live with some of the soma members. Shugrue (forgot how to spell his name) Soma, Kyo Soma and Yuki Soma...strange shouldn't she be living with her own family unless she is engaged to one of these people" Ciel said looking up at her. "Please sleep tonight we will need all the energy we can get I doubt they will take any seriousness from a woman who is tired." he said seriously. He wanted her to be prepared

Maggie looked at him and said "I will be fine....I can catch sleep once I'm sure about the safety of this family is secure" she looked back down at the file, blinking hard. They were getting close to the manor

"No I want you to rest tonight...I have no problem getting you to sleep" he said in a little hrarsh tone but he didnt mean to mean he just wanted her to finally sleep, he didnt like seeing her like this, not one little bit.
