[IC] Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Yugi looked at Mana, blinking as Serena smiled. "Hathor...alright then. I better get looking then" She turned and headed for the other room. Yugi looked at Mana and said "Who is Hathor? If we do find her, will she really want to help us?"

[Jazz]

Yami was not too surprised that Mana would help this way seeing as how she couldn't stand feeling pressured in some fashion and felling guilty upon not helping someone who was an ally. Yami though answered for Mana. "She is the Egyptian Goddess of Love. Ancient texts say she is also one of the greatest and strongest spellcaster. She has an alter ego being Sehkmet, the Goddess of War and Vengence who was split from Hathor after an altercation happened." With this explanation, Mana nodded. "Indeed. Though please help her anyway you can. I fear she may lose herself before she gets to Hathor." Yami too nodded to her. "We will do all we can. She is not the only one who feels that there are so many questions and few answers. She just needs to know it will come with time."

Mana nodded once again before hugging the both of them. "Thank you!" With this she looked to the Guardian. "I hope to see you again!" Mana being back to her bubbly self before fading.

Yugi looked at Yami and said "how do we find a goddess who hasn't appeared yet?" Serena walked back in and said "we find their blessed. It's how they are linked to this world. But do we look for love or war?"

[Jazz]

Yami was thinking on this when he heard Serena, looking to her as she proposed what to do. "Well I am sure either way we go we may find the other. We may want to tell our friends about this. No doubt they would want to hear this." The Pharaoh turned fully toward Serena, his crimson orbs looking to her, locked on her as they showed how serious he had just become. His posture looked laxed but slightly straightened, backing up what his eyes portrayed. "I want to know something before this goes further, we all are involved into this one way or another. Are you absolutely sure you want to follow through with this Serena? This is a serious matter of which has you putting your life at more risk than what we have gone through already, this is including my friends. We will be together on this till the end." Yami's voice hardened yet soft spoken, meaning all that he said for he knew the risks, and what was at stake. Wanting to make sure she was full well and ready for what was to happen in the future but let her know she was not alone in this. She had others to help her, rather is anyone wanted to admit it or not.

Serena sighed and said "I am in this to the end Yami....and I have to do something to find answers...and if I have to risk my neck and keep the others safe...I am willing to do that...I am the shadow that protects all...and will serve the true king...and that's you, Yami. Don't worry about me."

[Jazz]

Yami's eyes softened and unfolding his arms, he walked over toward Serena with a hand on her shoulder. "No matter who you were or who you are now, I will be worried." Yami smiled. "We help protect each other, we stick together."

Serena nodded, not looking at him. From what she had seen in the flashes, she was starting to relic what her role was back then. And she knew she couldn't let anything happen to him now...

Yugi went into the other room and told the others what they had found out, leaving the pair alone

[Jazz]

Yami noticed that Serena wasn't looking at him, he looked past it for now. He removed his hand from her shoulder. "Its okay to lean on us sometimes. We are no longer bound by the Era of which we were born in so long ago. I cannot count how many times I have leaned on my friends for help and support." He told her, hoping it would help her cheer up, even just a little.

Joey looked at Yugi with widened eyes. "So now we need to find this Hathor goddess? Is that it? How in the world are we going to find her again? Cause trying to find her choosen seems its going to be near to impossible."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Serena sighed and said "you have the power to protect them when they need it Yami...I didn't until now and I barely can use it. I couldn't save my brother...or Drake...I don't want to lose anyone else..."

Yugi shook his head and said "we aren't sure of that yet." Mokuba suddenly said "most of these people seem to be duelists of some kind...maybe we can use the data from battle city to give us a lead"

[Jazz]

Yami shook his head. "I have only been just discovering my powers as well as you. Any powers I have used have been only small and trying to protect their minds. I have done far worse upon being within the puzzle and I regret them sometimes. Mainly for the fact that I had scarred Yugi and did not see what I was doing would do that." He told her. "Leaning on them, trusting them helped. You had no idea any of that would happen. You had no power over what had happened then and I am sure your brother won't fault you. But now you have the power to. Just dont let it get to you too much." Yami finished, walking out of the room and leaving her to think upon this. Kind of wanted some thought to himself.

Seto nodded. "Its the only logical way without taking so much time running with nothing else."

Serena leaned against the wall, lost in her thoughts. Guardian appeared again and said "my lady..." Serena sighed and said "I never was much a team player...I was always on my own...I wonder if Zhara was like that too"

Yugi nodded and said "then the plan is to look at the old records and go from there"

[Jazz]

"Seems we have alot of work to do. I can help with the research through the old Duelist records." Duke spoke up, knowing his ways around the system since he was a game developer like Seto and Mokuba. "Anythin' we can do?" Joey asked to Adam, knowing that Kaiba would only tell them to stay out of the way. Yami came out of his solitude, joining everyone within the room. Malik looking to his sister.

Mokuba said "we could use help looking over the duelists and their decks to see who fits the bill" ishizu smiled and Marik and said "we can help in the same way, we know a lot of that tournament." Adam went to Yami and said "you two talk out there?"

Serena slipped her jacket on, duel disk on her arm. She knew one way of getting information. And she knew she did it better alone.

[Jazz]

Marik nodded with a smile. "Alright." Joey grinned. "Sweet! We should get moving as soon as possible!" Joey boomed with Optimism. Yami heard what was currently going on though saw Adam come up to him. He nodded to his question. "We did. It seems she is insistent that she do this mainly on her own even if it kills her. I do not know what else to do."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Adam chuckled and said "Why do you think I do what I can to help her in my own way? I'm no good in the field, and I suck at anything not with a computer...but she never pushes the help away. Just because she does things in her own way doesn't mean she won't take the help you give her...she has a brother who has always protected her and a father who sees her as a history figure and a force for good...but never has said he loves her to her face. She doesn't know how to ask for help, Yami...so you just go along and pretend she already asked for it. She won't push you away...she never pushed me away in all the time we have worked together...she just can't ask for anything...so you give her your best and she will take it and give it her all as well."

[Jazz]

The pharaoh watched him as was being explained about Serena and how she didn't normally ask for help, yet accepted help. This Yami pondered and when thought about it, he understood then, knowing that he had done the same sometimes. He never asked for help yet accepted what he was given. He smiled to Adam. "Thank you. I'll be back." feeling confident, Yami went to the room he left Serena in.

Serena was packing her bag, muttered to herself. "I think I have enough...I wonder if Joey and Tristen eat as much as they look they do..."

Adam smiled as he left. "Go get her, King of Games"

[Jazz]

Yami entered the room of which he had left Serena, seeing her packing a bag. Hearing her talk about Joey and Tristen eating as much as they look. Yami could only smile. "From my experience, They can eat a whole restaurant if they wanted to. I always wondered if their stomachs were black holes. I guess thats their high metabolism talking."

She turned and looked at him, holding snacks in her hands. She paused and then looked down and said "I figured if we were gone a while that one of us should back supplies just in case...and to be prepared for anything we could run into"

[Jazz]

Yami nodded walking up to her, stooping beside her and taking hold one of the snack bags. "Fair enough. Though if you want to be prepared for them, pack a bag separately for them both. No doubt Tea might take it and make sure they dont eat them all in one go." Yami set the bag aside. "Adam and the others are going to team up on looking through the old duelist files and see who maybe Hathor's chosen."
