Serena added “and I’m sure whatever it was, it didn’t hurt you or you wouldn’t have gotten to Zorc so…”

Adam nodded as he limped to the stairs and said “guess I’m not as recovered as I thought…taking my true form like that takes a lot out of my human form…”

Duke said “well the game Duel Monsters is based on runes Pegasus found years ago, these huge stone tablets. Not all monster mind you, just a lot of the first generation ones. It’s linked to ancient Egypt”

[Jazz]

"I guess so." It made him feel uneasy. Not knowing. Yami wasn't sure really for all of before Zorc and the desecration of his father's tomb seemed like a blur. So who knows what happened before Zorcs desecration of his father's tomb.

Tristen continued to the stairs with a sigh. "I'm sure it does."

Wait ancient Egypt? This was an interesting turn of events. Cora nods slowly understanding what she learned. "That's quite something to learn. I uh....I need to process this for now. Maybe tomorrow I can learn some more. It's just...alot to take in." Cora admits. Marok nods. "I understand. We'll speak more on this tomorrow." Cora stands up and bows to them. "Thank you for helping me understand the situation."

"It is no problem at all." Marik tells her with a smile. Cora walks away and goes to a couch to sit down.

Serena saw his face and said “Yami…do you remember how we met?”

Adam looked at him and said “I’m going to have to answer about that later aren’t I…everyone thinks I lied…”

Duke watched her and muttered “she looks like Kaiba did…”

Thinking about her question, it seemed like a blur till he saw snippets of memory. "It was before we were officially introduced when we were kids. If I remember right I found you admiring the garden."

"More surprised. Technically you didn't lie. But it was your secret to keep. Yes we would like to be in the loop."

Marik looked over to Duke when he made the comparison. "How so?"

Serena smiled and said “I was waiting for my master…he was talking to your father and I was looking at the flowers…I had never seen so many at once before…I think I was about eleven at the time…maybe a little older…I wasn’t sure my real age…master didn’t know when he found me wandering the desert…”

Adam nodded as he opened his door and said “I didn’t expect to be summoned like that…” he stumbled into his room, his face pale again.

Duke said “Joey told me Kaiba looked like he was going to throw up when he put it all together…”

The memory was becoming more clear to him as Serena had explained her side of their meeting. A smile appearing on his lips. "I remember when we scared each other. You thought you were alone and I got scared by your scream. Mahad had found me and I hid behind him." Yami continued.

"You did give him your card. Granted to his suprise that it was you." Tristen says helping Adam to his bed.

Looking from Duke to Cora who had kicked her shoes off and curled herself into the corner of the couch. "I don't know how she'll take to it all. Cora was brought into our world unknowingly and only knew the fun Duel Monsers brought. Who knows what the outcome will be for her."

Serena smiled and said “yes, Mahad thought I was there to kidnap you. I had my hand on my small blade, shaking till I saw who you were. Then I bent to my knee to show I meant no harm…then master came out with yours to find the source of the noise…then he just smiled that smile he always did when he knew something I didn’t know…”

Adam sighed as he sat down and said “I honestly didn’t think he would use it in a duel…figured I use it to keep an eye on him…make sure he was safe…make up for Aaron not being here to do it…”

Duke smiled and said “she will be alright. The goddess of battle picked her for a reason. She should ask Yugi how he met Yami…that’s the story that helped me”

"I remember that. He told me he wanted to turn you into a mouse. But I calmed him down and he thought it was rather funny that we spooked each other." A chuckle came from Yami, glad he could remember their first meeting. "If I remember right I was so shy, that at first I didn't know how to interact with you till Mana started interacting with you."

"If was more the end of the duel and the lady wouldn't accept it. But I get it. You did what you could, man." Tristen praised, letting him sit down and the. Let him go. "But get some sleep. You look like sheep ran you over too many times."

Marik was intrigued. "Oh? I'll keep it in mind. But we'll just wait till the morning. Find out where her feeling are on the matter before telling her more. Till then we should get probably find out what we can make for everyone for dinner." Looking then Odion and Ishizu. "I'm going to see what can be made for everyone for dinner. Hopefully that should help bring some spirits up."

Serena smiled and said “Mana helped me so much when we first came…I had never been with kids my own age before that…I had no idea how to act or what to say…she was my first real friend…when I left for my final training and had to leave…she cried so hard….it was a few years later when I came back when you were pharaoh…I came to become your Shadow and the council almost turned me away…”

Adam nodded softly and held his head. “Ya…feels like it too…I know Yugi grief to help but let’s keep him from trying again…”

Duke nodded and Odion appeared saying “I am going to look for a white board for your sister. She wishes to brainstorm…”

"Mana buried herself in her studies while soon then Mahad joined amongst my council as well as my cousin Seth. I felt to overrule them. Though other than having been my friend for so long, I don't remember if there was more to it to be honest." Yami wondered. He was sure that their friendship had been the reason. But he wondered if he knew through other means or not.

There was a nod of agreement from Tristen. "Yeah. Guess some of them gonna need to get it figured out. But I'll leave ya to sleep. If anything comes up like food, I'll check in on ya and how your feeling."

Marik blinked. "Oh boy...that means "do not disturb". Glad I'm going to be looking for food." He says with a laugh.

Serena smiled and looked at him. “That wasn’t why you let me thru. You didn’t know who I was until that night…my looks had changed. So had many things. I wear all black…but you saw me use my staff. You…looked at me with those eyes when I stopped the threat…then when I told the council to test me with the items…you weren’t sure what to do…”

Adam nodded and held his head then said “let Cora know…she’s more ready for this then she thinks…”

Odion said “I think this was meant to be a group meeting. We are figuring out which gods could be on what side…”

[Jazz]

That certainly was a twist. He wondered then as to why then he needed a shadow. Why he chose her. Seems his memory was still hazey after all. That it was something he wanted to remember though it cleared up, it changed. "I'm sorry. It seems my memory there is still not that clear." Yami admitted to her.

"Yeah. I'll let her know." Tristen leaves the room then.

"Then we gotta wait for everyone. It's only fair." Marik countered. As much as it was a good idea. Better to have everyone to attend and have their thoughts shared.

Serena looked at him and stopped. “Yami…you knew me when you pulled my hood down later on. I took the test and I was…” she paused then sighed. “I was injured by Seth. I finished and passed the test and I left, hiding my injury. But you knew something was wrong. You found me later…” she paused, wondering if his memory would kick in now.

Adam nodded and laid down, not taking a moment to pass out again.

Odion nodded and went to find the white board. Mokuba looked at Seto and said “can we help?”

Feeling his hand tugged back a little, Yami looked to see Serena had stopped. He listened to her as she continued to explain what had happened. As Yami listened, it wasn't sinking in. If the memory tried to reveal itself it was like a fog obscured it from view. "What happened when I found you?" He asked, looking down at their hands.

Seto had been watching Cora from the other couch as the young woman had seemed to have fallen asleep. He wasn't sure what to make of the newcomer especially with all that was going on. Paranoid? Yes. Did he care? No. Before he could try to piece anything, his thoughts were solely on Mokuba who was asking him about helping out. He stood up before taking off his jacket and setting it aside. "Alright. Let's go."

Serena looked around then pulled him to a bench and sat him down. Then she took his hand again and said “I was in the courtyard. My rooms were being made up. I was treating my injury when you walked up behind me. It was dusk. You asked me if I was alright and I muttered yes. I wasn’t sure if you remembered me. I wasn’t trying to draw attention after the test…but you suddenly heard my voice and yanked my hood back…”

Mokuba jumped up and followed Odion to the next room where Ishizu was working on a whiteboard with a list of gods she could think that might be involved.

Not sure at first what was going on, Yami sat down with Serena as he enter laced their fingers. He continued to listen as she told her about what happened. "Sounds like I was surprised that you were there. I probably ecstatic that you were even there,"

Seto watched for a bit before clearing his throat to announce their presence. "Mokuba wanted to come help. What do you need done?" He asks the priestess.

Serena smiled and said “you stared at me for a good few minutes then said “you weren’t a dream…”

Ishizu looked over and said “oh yes. We are trying to figure out who might be blessed and what gods we might get on our side…”

[Jazz]

Yami nodded, not sure what else to say. He was glad that at least one of them could remember that much. He was just thankful that he remembered when they first met. He was sure it would come to him in time. "I can see why. Not knowing when you would return to then returning to surprise those who missed you so."

Seto nodded folding his arms as he stepped next to Ishizu. "Well, if you want potentials, then Mako Tsunami with his Sea monster deck. Though I know little of the gods Egypt." Seto informed her.

Serena said “ya…I guess…” she was worried he didn’t remember but she stood up and said “shall we go to the park?”

Ishizu moved and wrote his name on the board saying “there is a god of the Nile…closest to the water we have…” Duke walked in and said “Marik is there any other gods you think are top runners?”

[Jazz]

Yami couldn't bear to look Serena in the eye for now. He wasn't happy with his lack of memory as well. What could he do? For now he stood up. "Yes. Let us go." He began walking. He felt bad now. It's like they ended on bad note and he didn't know how to fix it.

Marik was cutting up some vegetables when Duke came in. Thinking about it he wondered himself. "Well there's Nephthys, Isis, Set, Maat. Those are the major gods. There are many minor gods. Who knows what side they'll take if at all."
