I was under the impression that was just for Overwatch but I can join in on it if that gets things going again.

I just didn't want to go 1v1 with this thing and leave the others in the dust. Since I am not tied down to another "hero" I can just keep knocking out these crystals until I interact with someone. That could be a problem of me just doing my own thing while others are waiting on posts.

I'm keeping things open in terms of whether we go after the thugs or the monster-thing.

That or Nova and Alexis can go help with the monster-thing and then Overwatch can repay the favour with the thugs.
