Ialu's village is on a fairly large river and not that far from the sea, so it's looking like he'd have to be in the north. Perhaps Garakai has one half of the north and the Strong Tribe has another, @Rtron?

I mentioned when the village was first settled that it was a grassland separated from most other human lands by a large forest that encompassed it, which was at that time crawling with Cimex and Dyun. So I'd assume that it makes more sense for Ialu to have the western side of the north, but at the same time there's no river there. Shall we just say that his river is somewhere over there but not as large as the others that are actually marked on the map?

I think it'd be better if the Strong Tribe was at or near the first 'A' in Alma Toren Fort. Viscardi would have mobilized the slaves, dragons, and normal forces he had to attack the Strong Tribe. It would not have been pretty.

Alright, that works. We'll just say that there's a pond nearby, thus Ialu being the sleuth that he is understandably determined that was the ocean and that his village was near the coast. In reality it's another thousand miles away.

Many of the River Mer will live in freshwater rivers and lakes.
But that's really it, other than fish. The Krakenian monsters never leave the oceans, and the Krakenian Demons can survive almost anywhere.

I also think that there should be more people in the independent villages/confederacies, because the Garakai keep talking about how they want to crush the southern tribes. I think some of Rtron's posts mentioned them being rather numerous but also mostly a bunch of peaceful farmers and poorly defended villages. Perfect for Garakai to conquer/enslave and for Ialu to "save" and "enlighten" with his teachings about the Mighty One.

In any case, assuming that the southern tribes makes up the majority of those 1800 humans, that's still something like a mere 1,000. That's just like five or six little hamlets, not really tribes.

I'd say the Confederate is a united force made up of a few tribes, each tribe occupying a town or two. 300 people per village on average and you have 6 fairly large villages. That's something like 4 tribes (2 made up of two villages, the other 2 made up of one). They may have once been defenseless peasants, but I'd say they're a tad less defenseless now.
There would be more, except Ialu's extra 1400 are most likely ex-Confederates, and Zerabil did go around gathering followers, so it makes sense that there would be less of them than previously thought. Otherwise, we can increase the human pop and make it so they're 3800 with more villages and tribes.
