That's what happens when we decide humanity was created only 100 years ago. You can play like you want to. Throw realism out all you want, occupy thousands of kilometers when your population is a mere 20.000, I don't care. I'll play realistically myself, and I'll survive and have fun doing so.

@Rtron So would I put the Aerodu tribe that lives high up in the mountains that Eroneus converted in there? and if so, should I PM you the description.

Yes to both, but I'll make a note they're under Eroneus's protection and primarily worship him.

Fair enough but, Astarte and Vestec still need to massacre an entire Dragon Brood, set up the corpses in humiliating postures, build a tower to it, and then leave a rhyme for Sauranath to figure out where they're going to go next. You can't just take that from them! D:

I moved Cimexian borders because it was cock blocking Viscardi. I don't understand why Ruigh would attack because we took to much land, the borders for the Gorilla people are hard to maneuver around in the first place so I had to take what was left? If you want me to shrink it so theirs 'no man's land' in between I'll do so, Ruigh border Cimexian land, and they torture humans that walk in because... no trespassing. if a Cimex walked into Brightwood, it would have been incinerated up in seconds.

How would you feel if thousands of giant, sentient bugs appeared near you, rapidly expanded, and killed anyone venturing into their land? You'd most likely feel threatened and want them gone. Same thing here.

The other thing is that the Ruhig are similar to New Garakai in that they're aggressive expansionists and imperialists. Their culture is so militaristic that the young ones push for war just so that they have a chance to prove themselves strong and gain prestige for their family and tribe.

They're mostly inspired by the ancient Celts and Germanic tribes.

I'm currently in the process of making an official map, taking Frettzo's concerns into accounts and Cyclone's points, as well as what would realistically be feasible given that only 80 years have passed since Orabakh was empty.

Now that you mention their 'militaristic' and 'imperials' it makes sense. But this is the first time I'm hearing that, or reading, I thought they were just a bunch of tree worshippers. Either way, this had to do with Cimex vs Ruigh, not the land that was colonized, which seemed to be what you were talking about. I mentioned that the Cimex would become Civilized, it's only been 80 years, still have another 80 to go, dont expect them give a human a slap on the wrist for waltzing in, but at least they don't die for it.

Well, Viscardi's just gonna keep ruthlessly expanding. He doesn't particularly need the land. But he wants it because they are growing ever closer to the Brightwoods, and more importantly, Eskrath. You know. The largest Dragonbrood known to the world. Slaves will be used to make roads and whatnot. They have to be used for something!

On the other hand, the Rovaick are gonna be ecstatic with all the weapons and armor and stuff in Cimex Territory they're going to be able to sell.

Erstakh, and that Brood alone has thousands of dragons living there, not to mention it took 6 Might to create. . . It's about the only realistic way a town of dragons can have a fortress.

Yeah, I didn't mention their military or different tribes at all in the sheet because I'm just going to do that in my first few posts with them IC. It'd be too much to put in a sheet. But in case you want to know now, I'll just give a brief summary.

The Horse People think that the Ruhigs are devils and are a little bit afraid of the guys. The "tree worshipers" use captured enemies as blood sacrifices and thralls, and their idea of combat is going absolutely crazy through the use of drugs (In actual history the Alans smoked all sorts of crap like opium before they charged into battle ) and then finding their enemies and charging as a massive, screaming, frenzied mob of warriors.

Like the Celts, their warriors are of course intimidating and dangerous if you're unprepared, but could be defeated by a well disciplined and organized army like the Romans had.
