Dispite his family, his potental for magic, and for certain reasons, Whirlwind decided to forgo learning magic to train his body. Long years of grueling training and sporatic combat has forged him into a veteran soldier. He posseses almost inhuman physical strength, needed to properly wield his massive Drive Blade.
Age:
34
Sector :
Library Hunter
Personality :
Marcus is...surprisingly laid back with he is not in his role as Library Hunter. He is easygoing, and affiable quick to make a quip end laugh. He is friendly and open speaking plainly, with sincerity. However, when he dones the armor, his business face comes out. He becomes distant and cold. Try to talk to him when he is like this, and you will get a curt answer. He will mercilessly carry out his orders without fail, and to the best of his abilities. No matter what. Duty, Honor, Loyalty, Courage, Justice, Valor. These ideals mean everything to him. He seeks to uphold the law, and the peace. Dispite this, he is still fair and compassionate, he will try to resolve things without a fight, or if a fight comes, end it with minimal bloodshead. His is slow to anger but when he does, he goes off like a volcano. He believes in what he does, but he is nither blind, nor stupid, he knows that the Librarium is not without its corruption, but he sees them as the best way to peace, and so he chooses to side with them.
But deep in his heart, he just wants to be free. There is no logic to it, no rational, he just wants freedom.
History:
Marcus, or Whirlwind as he prefers to be called, was born to a powerful and old Mage family who can trace their ancestry back for hundreds of years. They also had contact with the Royal Family, who would often choose Retainers from among them. When they fell, the Astra family went into hiding, but continued to practice their magic in secret for one hundred and sixty years. Most everyone in the Astra family bears powerful magic, however, the family is not particularly fruitful. Children are rare, siblings even more so. As it happened, his parents were fortunate enough to have two, him and his younger sister named Amara. They lived well off, and his Father was considered a wise and learned man, people would go to him to mediate disputes and seeking advice.
They were happy for a time.
But then, they were betrayed. A single tip was all it took to draw the attention of the the Librarium. They applied pressure, at first with threats, then financially, then attempts to kill them. One such attempt almost succesded, killing his Mother and Amara.
His father swore revenge, and he delved deep into forbidden research. Marcus could only watch helplessly as his Father decended into madness. His lust for power and revenge, and his hate for those who killed his wife and daughter consumed him. He beat and mistreated Marcus, forced cruel experiments and cast unwholesome magic on him. Unable to take it anymore, Marcus ran.
He ran and he ran, but he got nowhere.
The Librarium easily tracked him down, and offered him an ultimatum: Join them, or be killed. He chose to join them. At first, they were understandably suspicious, but Marcus seemed to harbor no resentment toward them, and he made the most of his situation. Time and time again, he proved his loyalty by fighting for them, killing their enemies and furthing their goals. He rapidly rose through their ranks, soon becoming a highly respected Library Hunter. Due to its informal nature, there are no official ranks within them, but he is widly regarded as one of, if not the, best so many recruits treat him as they would a superior. His superiors see him as a valuable tool, the man you gave a job that you wanted done quickly and thoroughly with no questions asked. As a result, he is often scorned and feared by allies and the public alike for his unnatural fighting abilities, and unwavering loyalty. As for what he truly believes in, he keeps his opinions close to him, never showing what he is thinking.
Magic:
Whirlwind possesses a massive natural reservoir of Magic, and he can output similarly massive amounts of it, making even simple spells have devastating power. However, due to personal choices, and a lack of any training, his is unable and unwilling to use his full potential. Due to his repressed talants, he has no known specific magic. He mainly utilizes it only with Burst to enhance his physical combat ability.
Burst: A simple controlled explosion of pure magical energy. Whirlwind can use this in multiple ways, by directing the force behind him, he can charge with incredible speed, or direct it behind an attack to enhance its force and speed. It is the only magic he knows and uses, but he utilizes it creatively to great effect.
Weapons and Equipment:
An incredibly massive greatsword-like weapon, so heavy that it requires two hands from even the strongest of humans to wield properly, however, Whirlwind handles it easily with one. Built into the blade is a special engine with a gun-like cartridge. The engine can be activated, and when swung, the engine generates tremendous centrifugal force, brutally chopping through whatever is unfortunate enough to be in the blade's way through sheer impact. When engaged with a cartridge, the blade can be charged with magic, in the elements of fire, ice or electricity, further increasing the damage of this terrifying weapon. However, when it was first produced, it was comsidered impractical at best, and a danger to the wielder at worst. The Drive Blade's motor generates tremendous waste heat, and after every such attack, must allow the blade to cool down between swings, otherwise, it could melt the blade, and or blow up the engine. The amount of force produced along with its massive size makes the weapon difficult to control. Production of tje Drive Blade was discontinued, due to the lack of people who were able and or willing to weild this mighty and dangerous weapon, until Whirlwind took a liking to it, and proved that it was useable. As a last resort, the engine can also also absorb and store large amounts of Magic then then release it all for incredible widespread damage, however, this burns out the motor completely, rendering it little more than a large sword until it can be repaired.
He wears a suit of Magic Armor. As they go, it is nothing special, save for being of a high quality. It provides moderate protection against Magic, and great protection against Physical attacks.
He also carries a Rapier for use if or when his Drive Blade is not usable.
Miscs :
He wears a beautiful ring, a very old family heirloom.
Knows how to pilot an airship.
Never play Poker with him. He is skilled at cheating, and has a poker-face that makes stones blush with envy.
"Owns" a private Airship lent to him by the Librarium for his use. It is lightly armed, and lightly armored, but fast and maneuverable. It can be flown solo, but optimally requires a crew of four.

“The Title of the Story” (If you don’t have a permanent title, than either put whatever you have, or ‘Untitled.’)
Universe: If fanfiction, what series? Is it an alternate universe or a crossover? If Original or alternate universe, which of these universes is it:
I) The Real-World: a story based on strictly of the real-world universe. It can take place in the past, present, or future provided there is thorough research on technology, politics, economy, etc. Having odd hair, eye and skin color are not allowed here, unless there are dyes and colored contacts.
(II) The Real-World Plus: a story based on the Real-World universe, but contains supernatural forces, like the existence of aliens, vampires, ghosts, or faeries, etc., or the available use of magic. Having odd hair, eye and skin color are not allowed here, unless there are dyes and colored contacts.
(III) Alternate: while all or most of the physics laws remain unbroken, it’s not the Real-World universe. This would include worlds like from The Lord of the Rings, by Tolkien, or Ender’s Game, by Scott Card. The use of magic or the existence of otherworldly creatures can apply here. Naturally odd hair, eye, and skin color can also be applied here.
(IV) Complete Fiction: stuff that is mostly or completely implausible, compared to the Real-Life universe, but makes for a good story. This includes most cartoons or anime like Bleach, by Kobe or Demon Diary, by Lee Yun Hee, but it’s only the more far-fetched or extreme plots. Some anime and manga would belong to the other universes. Storm Hawks would belong here too. Naturally odd hair, eye and skin color can be applied here.
Describe a little of the setting: time period, what’s the main news (war, famine, etc.), is it the normal Real-World universe? What's different from the normal Real-World universe, if there’s a difference?
Names plus Aliases: This is a given, but it should look something like, John "Jo" Doe. I don't list why I chose the name, because most of the time I don't have a reason; I choose it by random within reasonable boundaries. The aliases can have some information attached to it, like if it’s a superhero name or something of more importance than just a nickname.
Species or Nationality: This is pretty much a given. If the person is a human, list the nationality. If the person is not a human, put down what his species is. This goes well with shinigami, vampires, etc. If the vampire, shinigami, or any human-like creature has a nationality, you can put that in. If I decide that a human becomes a vampire, I don’t put that down because it’s part of the actual story telling. Character sheets are about the universe and the character, not the plot.
Age: List the exact age. If the character is immortal, tell the age range the character looks like.
Height: Feet, inches, centimeters, meters, just whatever measurement under a mile (unless the character is over a mile tall).
Weight: Whatever measurement that works well. You can use pounds, kilograms, etc.
Skin: The Fitzpatrick Skin Tone Scale would be great if people knew of it, but people can use the roman numerals, and describe the color of skin. If the character isn’t exactly human, therefore has a bizarre skin tone, than you can just say what color the skin is.
Hair: Is it curly, wavy, or straight? What is the color? What is the length? In addition, what style is it usually in?
Eyes: What are the color, and whether or not the character needs corrective lenses? If the character needs corrective lenses, what kind of glasses does the character have? Is it thick, thin, for reading, or everyday vision problems. Is the character near or far sighted?
Clothes: What kinds of clothes does the character have and likes? If the character is some sort of superhero or villain, what is the outfit?
Family: Who's deceased, who's alive, and who of their blood relatives is the character living with or often visits?
Friends: What's the name, and how long has the character known them. If the character doesn't have any friends, that is an option too.
Intended Partner: You don’t have to answer this, especially if you don’t want to give anything away. This is optional. If the story is within a fanfiction, and the intended partner is a canon character, then all that is needed is a name unless the fanfiction is an alternate universe. If the story is original or an alternate universe, then just put down the character’s name along with how the character would come to know him or her during the story. If there's going to be a love triangle, square, etc. and the author doesn't want to give away anything, list the characters as you would if it's fanfiction or original/alternate universe. Keep note, if the intended partner is just one character, it can still change during the writing process—a creator’s mind is often filled with different paths.
Weapons: I'm referring to physical weapons like knives or bombs, not magic, psychic powers or martial art styles. This one is not always needed especially in the normal universe, so it is optional. If the character doesn't have any weapons, just put “None”.
Hobbies: On the character's spare time, what does he or she do? It doesn’t necessarily have to be anything he or she is passionate about or is good at, it’s just what the character does when they have time.
Skills: Does the character have any unusual talents? Alternatively, can do something that hardly anyone else in the world can do? This is where the magic and psychic stuff can come in, but it doesn't have to be that extreme. This is also, where the author can describe fighting style, strengths and the conditions under how their powers or skills wouldn't work—in other words, their weaknesses.
Goals: The character's own goals and you as the author's goals for the character. What lesson do you want this character to learn? This shows that you do have some form of development in mind, but whether the character follows their own goals, or the authors, can only be told through the story. It should look something like: *For the character: To get vengeance. *For the author: For him/her to learn how to trust others.
History: The basic and quick run through on the history of the character up to the start of the story. We don't need to know every place the character's been. If the character is immortal, what's one thing that changed the character's immortal life? As I mentioned before, I write down anything, stopping at the beginning of the story, so you can write out the character’s life until that point where the story starts. It can be several paragraphs long or just one paragraph—it’s up to the creator.
Additional Notes: This is for anything else the author feels is important to add on to the character’s profile. Is there more information on the universe? Is there anything to add on the intended partner situation? What is the culture like? What is considered “beautiful” or “healthy” in that culture? Explain that you do have more information and thoughts, but didn’t want to reveal the story. Anything.
Kage is a strange person to be sure. Dispite her rather solum and mysterious appearance, she displays a sense of humor that is so throughly dry, that most miss it. She is constantly fascinated with seemingly mundane things and seems to not grasp socal norms. Her isolation has made her a bit odd in the head, it's extremely hard to tell what she is thinking or what she will do next. Kage also excludes a quicky personality, conveyed through body language and gestures. She has a chort temper with people who fail to understand what she is trying to convey. She is very passive, preferring to simply watch then interfere. She shows a frightening ferocious and lack of anything resembling mercy or honor when fighting; She fights savagely and without restraint.
History:
To tell her history, would be to tell the history of the her country, and the terrible fate that befell it...
A long time ago there was a civilization, the original inhabitants of what would be known as Pandora. Their name was lost to history, they are referred to as the People by the few historians that know of them. They were a great and powerful empire, advanced for their time, in magic and mechanics, they built the original airships, upon which the modern airships are patterned, though these were much inferior to the ones now flown. Unlike most other humans, The People had powerful collective magic, which means that they could combine their strength to accomplish extraordinary things beyond even the most powerful Sorcerers. However to do this, they needed Archmages, people with the talent to shape and channel that power. These people were were very rare, and held in great esteem. But even rarer were the people who did not fit the mold and had unique magics of their own. These people were shunned as outcasts, often killed for even the tiniest reason.
The People built massive temples strange structures that still dot the jungle below and were a powerful nation that conquered most smaller regions nearby. They had to be, for the jungle was a dangerous place, but their collective magic made life possible. They had great wealth and prospered but it was not enough for them, they desired ever more power. As a result, they delved deep into research of the nature of magic. But one day, something went wrong. They awoke a Great Black Daemon. Enraged at this intrusion it cast a horrible curse known as the Blackening, so called for its symptom was a blight that spread throught the body turning the infected black. Those that contrected it were slowly devoured by it, going mad, dying outright, or worse, turning into monsters.
Their civilization collapsed practically overnight. In a desperate bid to save the people, the most powerful Archmages came together with most of the remnant of the people, and wove a powerful spell. What the spell was meant to do, precisely is unknown, but the being that originally unleashed the curse was not about to let them escape its wrath. As it was being cast, the daemon took the spell, combined it with the Blackening, and the end result was the People became Shadows. This event is called the Shading. They were beings neither alive nor dead, bare fit of their magic, and cursed to live an endless existence, no longer knowing pleasure, nor pain, nor food, nor water, nor warmth, nor joy. They are Wraiths, clinging the the world of light. They haunt the deepest reaches of the Jungle, where even sunlight does not reach.
But this is not their story.
For centuries after the Shading, The People drifted as wraiths, fading, forgetting, slowly loosing any semblance of sentience, becoming mindless, flighting shadows. All except one. Kage was one of the rare People born with a unique magic, Shadow magic. The curse reacted strangely with her magic. She, like the rest faded, but she kept her magic and her sentience, if not her sanity. For the centuries that followed, she merely existed. The first hundred years or so, it was not too bad, it took time for some people to fade completely, and she had company. But all too soon she was completely alone. The isolation, boredom, and the curse drove her mad. It took some time, but she eventually regained some sanity. She watched from the shadows as new people arrived, new cities were build and the floating islands were formed. She observed the powerful and unique magic that these people wielded, and eventually she formed a plan. Or a half-baked plan. She would join these 'Wizards' and see if they could lift the curse.
Magic:
Living Shadow: A strange and powerful form of Shadow magic, formed from human magic combined with that of a Shadow Daemon's. The most notable feature if this magic is thatnit turned the Caster into a living shadow.
Beneath the clothing Kage appears to be a 3D silhouette of a person, but she lacks details, face, eyes, or any identifying features.
As a shadow, she is completely insubstantial, it takes concentration and magic for her to solidify enough to affect the physical world. However she can use this to her advantage, most attacks will pass right through her. Her magic also gives her to ability to mold her body into any form she wishes, and use it like a weapon. She can merge with surfaces to become more like a literal shadow. Like this, she is almost completely invulnerable to attack. Other abilities her magic give her is to merge with other shadows and manipulate their owners like a puppet or steal shadows and use them.
Weaknesses: -Light, Kage cannot exist without some form of shade, this can be other's shadows or the shadow of clothing. Natural light itself does not hurt her, per say, prolonged exposure will cause her to fade, but she can recover by hiding in shadow. The only way to truly kill her would be to isolate her from any form of shade. Light magic, on the other hand, does burn her, but instead of doing physical harm, it burns her magic, speeding her depletion.
-Magical Limits, Kage only has a finite amount of magic. It is the only reason she can interact with the physical world and it is also the only thing keeping her sentiance intact. Should she use too much, she will revert to a mindless shadow. She can recover, but it is possible that she will not.
-Communication, Kage cannot speak, nor make any noise at all. The only way to communicate is to use magic to become substantial and write, or use sign language.
-Substance, it requires a significant amount of magic for Kage to become substantial. Breif periods are sustainable but extended use tires her quickly.

He can be egotistical at times, even worse, he often has a reason to be. Not much of a team player, he prefers to give orders rather then receive them. His passion and obsession lies in the study and use of magic of all kinds, Anima, Dark, and Light.
Background/History:
Continent and Time Period of Origin: Ylisse, Current day
Sanctus' father was part of a traveling troupe. He was, ironically, a stage magician, who incorporated a touch of real magic to his tricks. The troupe was small, but well known, especially for going to out-of-the way places to perform. His mother, Plegian Dark Mage who had joined them during a trip through Plegia,
Marcus's father and the dark mage eventually fell in love. They were never formaly married, but they came together anyway. For a year, they were happy and she was soon pregnant. She gave birth to Santus. She was soon pregnant again, however, this time something went wrong, and she died giving birth to his sister.
After that, his father was never the same. He grew depressed, strove to drown his grief in drink. He never was a proper father to Marcus. Eventually his performances suffered so badly, that they were kicked from the troupe since he no longer made money, he was no longer worth anyting to them. Marcus's father slowly grew worse and worse, and one day, he just disappeared. Gone without a trace, leaving a young Sanctus and his sister as an orphans on the streets of a random city.
Fortunately, Sanctus is the resourceful type, he had received rudimentary magic traing from his father and mother and at this time, his talent began to blossom and grow. He scraped together a harsh living, doing odd jobs, and more then once resorting to theft. His magic aided him in this, but it also drew the attention of a conclave of Sages who had their base in that city. The found him, took him in, and gave him to their order to train him. It was there his hunger for knowledge awakened. He was a keen student, absorbing and comprehending their teaching at an alarmingly fast rate. Some of them feared his growth, while others encouraged it. There he learned much of tactics and magic. His meteoric rise was halted suddenly by a certain incident. The details are unknown, but the result was Marcus's immediate and perminate expulsion, and the disappearance of his sister.
Even after that indecent, Marcus still hungered for knowlage. He traveled the land researching magic. It was his passion and obsession. For a decade and a half, he wandered the land, learning and growing in skill with magic. He earned himself something of a infamous reputation, and people startd calling him the 'Sorcerer in Glasses' and he is wanted in several lands for stealing secret tomes of magic. He eventually joined with the groupe Yilisse was gathering for three reasons; one the pay was good, two, the out-realm gates and demons reek with magic and he wants to study them, three, the gates lead beyond to worlds filled with possibilities and powerful magic.
Name: Balthier Baldur Bardur Damocles Sydney (Most just call him Sid, not to be confused with a certain zombie)
Age: 17?
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Appearance:
(Description)
Abilities:
Die Faust der Seele (The Fist of the Soul): A developing martial art that focuses on channeling the user's Soul wavelength to attack and defend. It is based on the advanced meister technique of Soul Menace, and was originality developed to train non-meisters in self defense. Theoretically, anyone could learn this with enough training and discipline. Sid had been a student of the art since he was young. He is no master, but he has reached a level of competence.
Seelenwahrnehmung (Soul Perception): The ability to see or 'sense' souls.
Maleable Soul- Sid possesses the limited ability to match his wavelength with another, regardless if their personalities match. It is limited in that they have to have some base connection for him to successfully match.
Techniques:
Seelenbedrohung (Soul Menace): A strike that channels Soul Wavelength to produce an electric-like attack with powerful concussive force capable of even damaging a weapon in their weapon form
Soul Wind: Compresses and launches the Soul Wavelength into a ranged attack. This technique has a short range, as it travels it looses power, but it travels quickly.
Soul Shock: A more focused verson of Menace, this is an attack that uses Soul wavelength to directly attack and destroy specific targets in the body. At Sid's current level, it only inflicts temporary effects, like numbness, loss of conrol, and paralysis, and does minimal damage.
God Hand: Sid's most lethal technique, it involves a direct shock to the target's brain stem, WIp
Apotheosis: Ace in the hole
Equipment: (Anything you carry on you other than your weapon)
Personality: Theatrical, Sadistic, Troll, (but does have ihis own set of morals?) ~
History: (Flavor to develop your character)
Weapon
Name: Shina?
Age: 17?
Gender: Female
Species: Human?
Appearance: (Kinda obvious, words, picture, or both is fine)
Abilities:
Weapon Transformation: (Mercurial, Crystal?) Her body is a liquid substance that she has total control over, on her own, she can take simple shapes, but with a miester partner, she can take more complex forms. "Weapon" in her case is a term as fluid as she is, since nearly anything can be used as a weapon, but she does have an easier time holding forms that are connected with violence. She can even split into parts, and control them independently. Her range and level of control over the split parts are extremely limited though. There is one oddity about her that dissuades most meister from paring up with her; while in Soul Resonance, the meister's own body begins to crystalize. This process is extremely painful, though not directly detrimental, the crystal is extremely hard functioning like a suit of armor except it does not restict movement or senses.
Techniques: (Any special attacks that would show up in large block letters on the side of a screen.)
Equipment: (Anything you carry on you other than your weapon)
Tall, lean, and pale-skinned with keen intelligent golden eyes, it is immediately obvious that he is possed of a scholarly disposition. However, at odds with this, his body is hardened, fit, and muscular. Few scars adorn his body, but he carries himself with the grace of one who is familiar with battle. His face is clean shaven and he looks to be in his mid-twenties. His hair is a unusual color of dark grey.
He tends to dress rather flamboyantly and richly, with quality cloth, gold embroidery and even small gemstones. His most iconic piece of clothing is a large mantle, trimmed in gold, solid black on the outside and rich purple on the inside. He wears it over a dark orange tunic which is worn open at the front to reveal a beige shirt with black designs. He also wears grey trousers tucked into a pair of black laced up riding boots. On his hands are a pair of long, shiny black gloves that reach up to his elbow. Oh his hip, rides a beautiful curved sabre in a jeweled black sheath. All of his clothing is fastidiously kept tidy and clean. Completing his ensemble are a pair of scholarly glasses on his face that can be magicaly affixed so as to not be knocked off.

Scholaris Magum He started learning magic from a very young age and he has received formal training, plus many years of experience makes him a very strong and skilled mage. He has some small ability with elements and magic beyong his affinity, such as; fire, water, earth, air, force, eletricity, gravity, and enchanting.
Lux et Sanctus Magus Dispite popular belief, there is a difference between the two disciplines of magic. Araris is proficient with both, though he favors Light over Holy. Using light magic, he can weave convincing illusions, also making him an illusionist. He has been developing a new technique that creates solid objects out of nothing but light. However its far from perfect.
Magus Gladius While not as accomplished as other may be with the blade, he is by no means unskilled. He backs his swordsmanship with with his magic, wielding both in tandem with remarkable ease.
Manipulative Bastard Very much so, and a deadly practical opportunist, possible player of Xanatos speed chess. He tries to come out of every situation on top, occasionally stepping on the faces of "allies".
Spellweave The Mantle he wears was enchanted to provide great magical protection, and limited physical protection. The cloth itself is nearly as strong as steel, however it doesn't absorb blunt force very well. His gloves are also enchanted to strengthen his magic, and make it to use. How he attained such useful tools is a story in itself...
