[OOC] Sword Art Online: The Bravest Among Us

Welcome to Sword Art Online! Is what appeared to every person as they logged onto the game. The excitement of that day could even be felt in the real world by those who weren't even going to log in because they didn't have the money for a VR system or just didn't play MMO games. Then that wonderful sense of excitment was replaced by dread and horror upon learning that those in the game were stuck and if the died in game they died IRL. That's when it started and people looked for The Bravest Among Us.

Welcome to Sword Art Online: A New World I am the amazing booksmusicanime or as most people refer to me Books. I created this roleplay for fun and entertainment and the fact that I'm insanely bored right now and need something to do. Anyways now for the rules!

1. NO GODMODDING OR POWERPLAYING! I say this in every RP I have created and I still find godmoders and powerplayers on my RPS.
2. Don't be overpowered. I want everyone to be fair and equal
3. DO NOT control a character that isn't yours. I hate when people do this and if I catch you doing this even once I will not be nice.
4. Please once you have finished your CS wait for me to accept it! I don't want people who I haven't accepted to post!
5. NO MAIN CHARACTERS PLEASE! This is a world where the main characters from the anime/manga do not exist.
6. Warn me when you will be gone so I can catch you up. I hate when people disappear without telling me. I've lost almost half a roleplay due to that.
7. Be nice. Even I do it sometimes but if you decide to become a class A jerk just leave or once you realize what you've done apologize to the person you were a jerk to. I want everyone to feel welcome.
8. Your character can't be a part of any of the guilds mentioned in the anime/manga. You're either a solo player or a part one of the guilds that have been created.
9. You can have one character. This rule is subject to change later on.
11. There are only limited spots! No ifs and or buts, unless I trust that you won't disappear half way through the RP.
12. KEEP IT PG-14 PEOPLE!! If it's over that then fade it to black people. Some cussing is allowed but no going overboard!
13. Books' word is law! Anything I say goes and plots and such are controlled by me unless someone has my permission.
14. There can be some romance to this just don't make it a all the time deal.
15. Please put Duel Blade in the other if you have read the rules.
16. Please have decent grammer/punctuation. Be literate and use quotation marks when your character is talking.
17. Have one appearance. Just because the fact that no one really sees their character selves before they have their real life appearance.
18. NO MAGIC! SAO is a game with just swords.
19. And most importantly have fun! I don't like it when people are downers so if you're down just trust me you'll be cheered up and having fun again in no time.

To start with I have had problems with keeping active with roleplays in the past, but I'm over that.

Bio:Frank had an easy childhood with many luxuries. That was because his father owned a Casino, while his mother owned a large bank corporation. This meant he got whatever toys he wanted, got to go wherever in the world he wanted-basically anything money could buy was his.

He eventually got through highschool, got his highschool diploma and followed in his father's footsteps in the gambling industry, of owning a Casino. It had its ups and downs, he had to throw out many people for cheating, after having seen said people on camera, have a card up their sleeve at the poker tables, and other tactics. Also it took a lot of effort on the advertising side to keep people interested in a business where people are supposed to pay money and win almost zero dollars.

Ofcourse the games had to be set up, so that people would almost win, just to keep their hopes alive and in turn the Casino thrived.

Some time later, Mathew heard of an M.M.O. game, Sword Art Online, and decided to give it a try. The first day was fun and he noticed that this game felt different, it seemed more real somehow. So having leveled a few times, he then proceeded to log off. Except he couldn't!! He freaked out and tried everything he could think of, but still to no avail. That first night under the stars in the game was horrible. He tossed and turned at last falling asleep only to wake up three hours later, from a nightmare of an ogre smashing his head with a huge spiked club. Waking up in a cold sweat he decided that he was going to become powerful in this game, because he knew he was trapped in the game and he had a sinking feeling that this game was reality-so to hell with dying!

After a while he made serious progress in the game, as he joined a Merchanting guild and managed to get to level 29. It wasn't enough though, he strived for more and more progress, mostly because he had a competitive streak that suddenly came out of him when he never needed it before.

Bio: Juka had fondness for Roleplaying and Gaming since he was 8, and since then he devoted almost all his time to these "arts" as he called, the normal everyday life was too boring and predictable, so he preferred immersive games over platformers and such, being a lover of this immersiveness, Juka waited on the first spots for buying the new VRMMORPG, and played the first hours wishing to never leave the game, but when the bad news came and he realised that all the players were trapped inside the game, Juka began to retreat his words of "never leaving", and even though he was still excited after reaching Level 30, Juka began missing the real world, his family and friends.

I was looking for an SAO RP the other day. Quick question, is it ok to use a glaive instead of a sword?

Bio: Just your average geek. He grew up watching Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, and other sci-fi and fantasy shows. He got a job fixing computers whne he grew up, and became an instant fan of the Nerve Gear when it was introduced. When SAO came out, he tried signing up as a beta tester, but wasn't accepted, so the day it came out he took all of his saved up vacation time and stood in line to buy the game. He immediately went home and logged in, becoming a Smith. When he had to go out and gather his supplies, however, he needed to fight, so he crafted himself a simple steel polearm.
