Honey and Turner
Turner sat on a bench near the statue he observed, spinning his weapon in its axe form around with his hands, his fingers intricately weaving over the handle. Right now, there was nothing to do but roam and he was kind of bored at the moment. He didn't really notice anything until he saw a spritely-looking girl with silver hair and a LOT of boxes. Well, social activity IS a thing people do. Turner turned his weapon back into its sword mode and sheathed it onto his back as he walked over to her. "Hi there." He said, introducing himself.
After catching up with her other maids and offering to carry some of the stuff they had brought her, Honey was trying to balance a few crates of powered dust in her arms as she walked. From the corner of her eye she saw someone approaching her and she glanced at the person, assuming they would just walk by, and so she said nothing. Then she noticed they--or he, had stopped and said hello. Huffing and adjusting her grip on some of the crates, she stopped walking and turned to him.
"Hey there... uh, do you need something?" she asked, wondering why he had approached her. She glanced behind him to see her maids gradually getting farther away. Cursing in her head, she wanted to follow them, as she didn't know where to put her things, and apparently, they did. At the same time, Honey didn't want to be rude and leave the guy hanging, so with a smile, she stayed.
"Well, no not really." Turner began. This girl seemed all right so far, but it looked like she needed a hand with those boxes, wait, crates? Ah they were things anyhow. "Just seeing if you needed any help with those, that's all." He offered, he really didn't want to be wondering around aimlessly again so he might as well help someone.
Honey's pink eyes studied his face for a moment, and then her smile got bigger.
"Aww how nice of you! Here." she said, stepping forward and giving him all the crates, taking only the top one after doing so. Stepping around him, she started walking after her maids.
"Follow me." she would say before jogging away to catch up with her maids.
Turner held his arms out but didnt expect pretty much all of the crates she was carrying. Okay bar one, but still. "Hey! Wait up!" He said after chuckling a little. Guess training kind of starts now. Carrying large weights while running counted right? Turner jogged, a little slower than the girl because of the boxes, but he managed to catch up with her in the end. After slowing down to walk by her, he quickly propped the boxes up to a comfortable carrying position. "So, uhhh, I didn't get your name?" He asked.
As they both slowed to a walk, a pair of her maids came and took the crates from them, taking them into a large room. Turning to the guy who had helped her, she held out her hand.
"Geez, where are my manners? My name's Honey Lawson."Turner held her hand and shook it respectively. "Turner Miyahata, nice to meet you Honey." He said with a smile. After shaking her hand, he stuck his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "Soooo, what brings you to Beacon? Here to slay monsters and be a hero?" He asked, half-jokingly on the last part.
"Yeah, something like that. she said, peeking her head in the room and waving goodbye to her maids. Afterwards, she started walking again, looking for Turner to follow her.
"Though there's another reason I wanted to go to this academy... but that one is more..." she blushed as she thought of Ozpin.
"Personal I guess." she finished, hardly able to hold back the giggle that nearly escaped.
Turner nodded up and down slowly, not really getting the last reason but, hmm, must be a girl thing. "Fair enough I suppose." Turner said as he walked up to follow Honey again. "Well, I guess my reasons are kind of similar, I guess." He began. "You know when you want to do something really cool with your life and it can help people too?" Turner asked, rhetorically. "Well, I guess you could say being a Hunter falls under that." Turner explained, deciding to be truthful about his reasoning.
"That's as good a reason as any I suppose. But honestly... I never worried about my reason. I just figured doing it was good enough." As they walked back outside, Honey saw a statue in the distance and her eyes widened.
"Oooh cool!" she said excitedly, running over to it.
Turner shook his head as Honey began to run off again. Turner kind of saw here as a little kid with her personality, hyper-active. All. The. Time. Turner thought it was kind of cute in a way though and decided to walk over instead of running like her. "It is pretty cool isn't it?" He commented as he finally reached the statue he noticed earlier. Hopping up and down as she circled it, she was grinning like an idiot as she admired the thing.
"It's totally awesome! I wonder who these people are... like, if they are the first Hunter and Huntress or something." she said, stopping her circles and standing at the front of it.
Turner shrugged his shoulders as he folded his arms. "Could be." He commented. Taking a closer look, the outfit and weapons did kind of seem from a time long ago, so maybe they were part of the very first Hunters and Huntresses. "Hmm. I guess we will never know." He said with another shrug. Honey nodded, shrugging also as she stepped closer, reaching her hand out and touching the smooth stone that made the arm of the Grimm below the two figures. She was silent for a long moment, but suddenly threw her hands up and squealed in excitement.
"I wonder if I'll get to be a statue some day tooooo!" Looking over her shoulder at Turner, she smiled at him.
"Wouldn't that just be the best. Thing... EVER!?" she asked him. Before he got a chance to say anything, Honey would continue talking.
"Oooh I wonder what pose I should make!" she said, bringing a hand up to her chin and stroking an imaginary beard. With her other hand she removed Seraphine from her belt and proceeded to make cool poses in front of the statue, occasionally asking for Turner's opinion, only to change the pose before he got a chance to utter a word.
Turner just stared in absolute bewilderment. This girl was either just possessed by a 6-year old or borderline mentally insane. Either way would be cool. "Me and you have very different priorities." He commented jokingly, chuckling at her cool poses and how rapidly they would change. "Isn't there a place we need to go for the night? We haven't been given rooms or anything yet." He asked, seeing whether or not she was actually paying attention, proving his theory of being possessed by a 6-year old.
"Meh, I wouldn't care where we slept, so long as its no place cold." she said, not ceasing in her poses. She seemingly had an unlimited amount of them.
"Though, when I had a peek into that room before where my maids were, there seemed to be a lot of other suitcases in there. Maybe that's where the first years will be, until they get rooms for us-- Oooh, what about this one?" she asked. The pose was rather silly, as she was trying to balance Seraphine on a raised foot while her hands were crossed over her chest.
"Too professional?"Turner looked left and right really quickly to see if anyone was watching, then looked back at Honey with her pose. "Too professional? No. Going to be a famous pose seen and copied by all. Again, probably not." He said, trying not to sound like he was saying "Bwahaha, that's a really silly pose." Grabbing her weapon and strapping it back to her belt, Honey would sigh as she couldn't think of any good poses at the moment.
"I'll come up with something another time." she said, stepping back over to Turner. She smiled at him then looked around them, wondering what to do now.
"I wonder what everyone is doing..." she said in a curious tone.
"What should we do?" she added, looking to him for an answer.
Turner looked up to the sky, it was beginning to get dark. "I think its' time we get to the place we sleep." He said to Honey, then looking back to her. "Where ever that is." Turner added. He looked around but saw no where in particular that could be the sleeping quarters. "Uhm, WHERE do you think that is?" He asked Honey, really hoping she hadn't ran off again.
"I dunno, but I'm hungry. Lets go find something to eat first before I munch on my own arm. Someone will probably tell us eventually if we get caught roaming around." she said, crossing her arms behind her back and skipping ahead of him.
Well then, guess she's got to go eat then. It was then when Turner's own stomach rumbled as he realized he hasn't eaten since he got off the blimp. Turner jogged after her. "Hey wait up! I need to eat too!" He called out to her.
