So when and how did you plan on introducing Edict? I was actually planning on sending several characters over to a dwarf mining outpost for one of these upcoming missions, so perhaps Edict could afterwards be sent by the dwarves to investigate what happened to the outpost.

I'll do that soon. And that sounds like a good idea.
Also, I should mention that Edict has working knowledge of pretty much all demons and most magical creatures. If he hasn't fought one of them he's probably studied them.

How would Empyrean work against the anti-magic shield? The flame burns both inside a person and outside at the same time. So, would it burn the arm holding the shield at the same time as the shield itself?

@Elitestpotato, And I'd like to say that Torrens by default outputs fire as ordinary fire, unless he wills it otherwise, which obeys standard physics and carries ordinary thermal energy. So Edict may be resistant to fire balls or fire bolts or flame shields or the like (since the only way those would hold shape is by magic), but if Torrens just unleashes an inferno Edict's going to roast.

In my opinion, the Empyrean (set to instant incineration) would burn either just the shield, or all of him, depending on the intensity.

I'll tentatively say that Edict could block it. Let's go ahead and say any type of magic is next to useless against Edict unless it's very powerful and in that case he would only he hurt from it. His weakness is that he's not a great straight up fighter, so, for example, Anithar could wipe the floor with him one on one. But, Edict is agile enough to dodge attacks until he can formulate a counter. He pretty much has made a legacy off of killing your/our kind.

Ah, but you forget that Edict has studied demons and therefore would know at least somewhat about Torren. You don't think he has dealt with that kind of fire before? He's not just going to instantly combust and that's the end of him.

Torrens is pretty unique, although Edict could probably tie together enough knowledge about demons and fire elementals to formulate an approximate (yet mostly adequate) picture of him. I agree- Edict almost certainly has strategies for, if not countering, then at least minimising the harm of copious quantities of fire, but his anti-magic stuff won't help him do it.

I suppose Torrens has a soul, somewhere, although it is intrinsically embedded within his body. In any case, any even partially successful effort to extract it will almost certainly result in violent spontaneous combustion.

While Umbra technically has a soul he doesn't have his soul, and is in the same predicament of anyone who sold their soul to Azavarn except his was stolen by the Witch who turned him into Umbra in the first place.

@knighthawk Ekusha doesn't really have a soul. She's just a spirit in the sense of existing almost purely as a personality, whose physical form is about as real as any other image the mind processes.

Just kidding. But honestly, Edict probably doesn't have much of a problem with Azavarn. I mean, Edict is a neutral hero and Azavarn just preys on mostly the greedy and idiots as well. I don't think Edict would actually sell his soul though. Especially after he spent so much money for a security system.

Everybody not on one of the others. So Azavarn, Darkwraith Kor, Shukra, Umbra, Narza. I think that's all of them. Yappo and Wold would go too if either of them ever post IC

Edit: if @BBeast wants Torrens could go there instead. When I sent him with Emily I didn't realize that she wasn't going to burn the village. She probably won't need much of Torrens' help, but he could still go along to the ritual for the fire I guess.

I just try not to send anybody on a solo mission unless they ask IC or OOC. I imagine it'd be less fun to not interact with others as much.
