[OOC] Onward Unto Dusk [Pokemon, Medieval]

I didn't plan on involving the cult at all but it looks like they're here to stay. XD.
I will have to finish up Nihonto's character sheet, but I've got work to do before I finish that.

Feel free to know or not know who either of my characters (Nihonto, Feuertanz) are. They could have met before and spoken or maybe not. Nih in particular is something of a public figure, as explained in his post. He's eccentric, he's well known, but not everything that's said about him is good. If reputation precedes him however, he's certainly a man of his word~

By the way this is Anhara's symbol.
She's popular with fire types, but she frames herself as a god of light rather than fire, so she has pretty broad appeal. She's regarded as the spiritual embodiment of the sun, and is coupled with the moon, whose primary aspect tends to be that of water.

I also need to research solar/lunar phases more. Do I need to swap the equinox with the solstice?

Lolol, anyways, I'm trying to think up my first post... though, I still have no clue, and besides, for all we know, they could have opposite phases/just call the phases something else anyways, so I think you're fine.

You should have seen the old RP that I ran once set in the first crusade. I dug up the old treatise that dictated the rights and protections of Christians under the rule of Muslim kingdoms, the names of the commanders and important figures on both sides of the battle, the entire timeline of the war and details about the sieges of Antioch and Acre and the conquest of Jerusalem by the Fatimid dynasty of Egypt from the Seljuk Turks just before the Christian armies arrived. The details of the relief army from egypt, how the battle played out historically, and...
A lot more.

The least I can do here is get the right time of year. :B

In summary, an equinox is when day and night are of equal length, and a solstice is when the sun is at either it's northernmost or southernmost point.

Sounds right. The equinox is meant to be a rebalancing for Anhara. Those who have fallen in favor will see their power drained, whilst those who have shown growth will be rewarded.

But this year that didn't happen. :O

My guy might just arrive at the village soon. Having a little idea... He might hear about the whole crusade thing, before going to the castle, giving a note to the guards for the king warning them about his brother, and then look to work in the crusade, searching for a way to strengthen his skills and possibly learn new tricks...

I will need to write it down... tomorrow.

But still unsure which group to go for... confused a bit

@Lugia Of course! This is set up to expedite the "getting the group together" process.

@Evanist Well, there's not a crusade. There's not even a war. XD.
And Moere's king is nowhere near Sabiland. The capital is in the west. You're out in the boonies where people by and large don't even really consider themselves Moeri citizens yet.

If you want to go with Lugia, then Lugia will most likely be in Nihonto's group that's currently gathering in the square. You're free to join up at a later time, but that would mean waiting until the others had reached wherever you decided to meet up with them at. You can message me and we can discuss it if you don't wish to appear at the opening scene or if you need help justifying your inclusion in either group.

One last question before I get my IC up.
Do non-pokemon animals exist in this RP? I was thinking of starting off with my guy insulting yours due to his alliance with Moer, and his, er, habits... of course, my guy will end up joining due to the fact that it's not some conquest to expand this country or that, but instead, it's more of a recon, to make sure everyone's okay.

@Lugia Oh, sorry for the delay! Yes, nonpokemon animals do exist, but it's important to realize that in this world at least, the natural order does still stand in the wild places. A feral pokemon here is simply one that is born wild and WILL operate on its survival instincts. In more civilized territory, you can't just go around eating people, but there are rules that dictate what types of pokemon can be hunted for game or profit or used as "animal labor", and this can vary wildly depending on the region.

Oh yeah, and I didn't mention it in the post, but if you're going with insults based on his reputation, it's also pretty well known that he's gay. This isn't quite a big deal here as it would be in medieval europe, but it's still something that causes issues.

Hey, @Anlu, your Typhlosion character was in the Moer army recently enough, right? I was thinking of having my guy basically be your guy's old errand boy. He'd have used my guy to settle bets, and debts whenever he needed it... which might be a reason why my guy's poor now. Does that sound about right to you?

@Lugia Currently in the army, actually. That said Nihonto's not the sort of guy to have somebody else do his dirty work for him. If things have gotten personal, he'll settle the score himself. That said, depending on the types of things needing done, he could certainly use a hand. Perhaps even a squire, if you so prefer?
