Because her abilities are all based around her drumkit Thrash can't be separated from it. If she had another piece of equipment, like added armour, weapons or gear which only worked by giving her an extra status effect (like Bumblebee and Brick's armour, Flare's gun, etc), then those could be taken from her permanently (or at least until she recovered them somehow) by nullifying the status effect somehow.

Since all Psy-Warp did was to move the drumsticks, Thrash could easily take them back again. If she'd trapped them somehow by using a skill and spending Energy then it would've been more difficult for Thrash to get them back.

Basically I'm bullshitting here to justify returning Thrash's powers to her since letting Psy-Warp completely depower a boss with a wave of her hand would be far too powerful an effect considering it was taken as a reflex action and not a special attack of any kind.

Since they went to the trouble of repainting a helicopter in the band's colours and dressed themselves up in stupid venue appropriate outfits before heading to the fight, including those oh-so-subtle panties, I think it's safe to say these are hardcore fans of the Hell's Bitches, not just temporary pawns.

Whether or not they've succumbed to the long-term effects of Discord's mind bending music or they're just really impressionable teenaged girls is something you can debate as much as you like, but either way they're fully devoted to their favourite band, and maybe just a little pissed that someone just laid one of their idols out.
