@21308 Yeah, getting your diploma before you join opens up a whole bunch of more job options while you're in there. Like I wouldn't be able to get the job I'm sign up for if I didn't do my last year XD
@Saarebas That's cool! I never knew you had to have a certain level of education to get certain jobs as long as you anticipated getting your diploma. I actually very nearly joined the Army right after my junior year myself, but I was only 17 then and my mom said no. She told me she was just concerned about my safety or something, but it was pretty embarrassing.
@21308 Eh that is pretty common, I'm up at the recruiting office quite a bit and I get to see a bunch of different people come in and apply. A lot of them 17 year olds with their parents who aren't too thrilled with the idea.
@Saarebas Yeah, it really sucked for me because my mother seemed generally cool with it until the very last minute. It's cool that things worked out for you though.
Pretty good, actually! I just got some pretty great news today, which is that the college I applied to actually does have room for me this semester and they can take me off their waiting list!
