Name
The Bogeyman, goes by Booker Manson when speaking to mundies

Nickname
Boogie

Race
Monster

Gender
The name is Bogeyman take a guess

Appearance
Glamor- Boogie is 6'3 in height with a thin body build. His skin is a very light pale color, almost rivaling Snow's, and his hair is a ebony black color. His eyes are hazel, but change to a bright yellow when he gets angry or feels like making a point. He normally wears punkish clothes, them usually being black and slightly torn. He has several piercings in both of his ears along with one on his bottom lip and one on his tongue. He has a large tattoo on his back of a horned skull that is crawling with spiders and has a snake coiling in and out of it's mouth and eye sockets

No Glamor- Without his glamor Boogie is literally something out of nightmares. He is a shadowy monster that stands ten feet tall and is shrouded in a thick smog. In the mist is a monstrous skeleton with large horns, long arms that end with large claws instead of hands, and empty eye sockets that have two yellow glowing orbs like fires that act as it's eyes. He glides and floats through the air instead of walking which add to his unsettling nature.

Job
Nightclub Owner

Personality
As you'd expect Boogie is a mischievous, creepy, and rather immature person, though the word person is only used loosely. He has many odd habits that never quite left him since his days of being the Boogeyman, such as he has a complete memorization of the big book of phobias and he sleeps under his bed rather than on it. He is fiercely loyal, seeing the whole of Fabletown as kind of family that he is a part of and needs to help protect. He loves music and plays his guitar whenever he gets the chance to, which usually is early in the morning when he gets off work much to the distain of his neighbors. He has a strong sympathy for the less fortunate Fables in town, especially the girls who work at Porgie's though only people who know him well know why. He has a certain respect for Bigby most of the other Fables don't have, seeing as Boogie knows how it is to be "the monster trying to make it in Prince Charming's world" as he puts it. He is a hopeless romantic, loving romance novels and movies, sadly though he seems to scare off any potential happy ever afters.

Fable
Before he left the Homelands Boogie was a monster that terrorized, kidnapped, and ate the people of the lands. There are many rumors on how he came into existence, such as he was a fairy corrupted by the evil of mankind or that he was a nightmare pulled into the waking world, but whatever the truth is to this day he has remained very tight lip about it. But what is known is that he was the being that made people keep a candle on their nightstand lit all night, the reason parents told their kids to stay in when it was dark, but what he was most proud of the reason people checked under their bed before they went to sleep. Sadly that all changed when the Adversary started to take control of the Homelands. Like many Fables Boogie put up a fight, protecting the weaker Fables and attacking the Adversary's forces when he could, but he eventually had to abandon the Homelands for somewhere new. He settled in Fabletown like the others, signed the Fabletown Compact and washed away all of his past crimes. Boogie spent a few centuries doing random jobs just to get by, his lowest moments were when he had to work as a bouncer at Georgie Porgie's, he hated how Georgie treated the girls there and what he made them do. But eventually he saved up enough money to open his own Nightclub just out side of Fabletown. It is called Rumors. It has become quite popular with the Mundies of the city. He has occasionally been called in by Bigby and sometimes Bluebeard, though Boogie doesn't like him much but the guy does pay well, to help with interrogations of suspect Fables, he seems to know the perfect way to get anyone to talk.

Abilities
Fable Physiology- Boogie has the inhuman endurance, strength, and healing that most monster Fables have.
Levitation- When in his true form Boogie floats through the air rather than walk, no one sure if he really has legs or not as no one has seen past the smog that covers him clearly enough to tell.
Invisibility/Intangibility- Boogie is able to disappear completely from view or turn his body into pure smog that can slip through small openings.
Illusion Creation- Boogie is able to cast images, sounds, feelings, and smells into the minds of others that are so realistic that they are unmistakable as real, he use to use this to terrorize the people of the Homeland.
Fear Sense- Boogie is quite literally the origin of the phrase "it can smell your fear". He has the bizarre sixth sense of being able to sense the fears of those around him. The best way he has ever described it as was when he said people's fear appeared in subtle ways, like someone with a fear of fire would appear to have a few embers coming off them or another person who is afraid of being buried alive will reek of dirt.

Name:
Longlegs Skip the Moose, known as Skip to mundies

Nickname:
Skip or Longlegs

Race:
Moose

Gender:
Male

Job:
Skip has no official job (and no apartment), but his skill has made him into a guide of renown in the city. This has earned him enough money to survive and stay glamored.

Personality:
Skip is friendly and protective of those he likes. He is however suspicious of fairies and nymphs because of what happened to his long lost friend Princess Tuvstarr.

Fable:
Once upon a time, in the Homelands, Skip was Longlegs Skip the Moose, who took the Princess Tuvstarr on a tour to see the world. It ended bitterly, however, as the young princess was beset by fairis and nymphs who took her crown and gown. When her golden heart medallion fell into a lake, it became too much for the princess who has been sitting at the shore, searching for her necklace ever since. Skip stayed with her for a long time but eventually left the Homelands to come to the mundie world. As his nature forced him to never settle, he didn't come to Fabletown for many years. He served in stead of a guide to many people, taking them where they needed to go. Eventually he went to Fabletown to see if he could find Tuvstarr there. He hasn't heard much about her, but he hasn't given up hope just yet.

Abilities:
Skip is a big moose and has all the powers of such a creature.

His greatest ability, however, is his sense of direction. Skip can never get lost and is incredibly hard to detain. If he wants to go to a place, he will always find a way there.

The Wounded Lion

Name:
Prince Leon, The Wounded Lion

Nickname:
Leon or Leo

Race:
Lycanthrope (Lion)

Gender:
Male

Lycan Form:
http://www.deviantart.com/art/rakugaki01-307688704

Human Form:
http://www.deviantart.com/art/topher-254115697

Job:
Leon does not work, though he does own his own butchers shop.

Personality:
Leon has a very regal and sophisticated form of speech that seems a little out of place for his new settings, but regarded with respect all the same. It's not uncommon to see him assisting the less fortunate fables, but merely offering them jobs at his shop if they remain hidden. Having the ability to change into his Lion form, he is an agressive fighter that prefers to get it overwith as quickly as possible, often drawing the assailants attention to himself if multiple people are involved. If his wife is brought up, he'll try to dismiss the conversation, seeing as how his wife was killed shortly before their arrival to this new place.

Fable:

The Wounded Lion (Synopsis):

Once upon a time-

A poor girl got a job herding cows. One day, she heard a moan, and found a lion with a thorn in its paw. She pulled it out, and the lion thanked her by licking her face, but she could not find the cows again. Her master beat her and set her to herding donkeys. A year later, she found the lion wounded again, and when she aided it, the donkeys vanished. Her master beat her again and set to her to herding pigs. A year later, the lion appeared for a third time, wounded, she aided it, the pigs vanished, and she decided to wait and see if she could find them.

She climbed a tree and saw a man coming down a path and vanishing behind a rock at sunset. She decided to stay until she saw him come out. At dawn, a lion came out. She went down and behind the rock. A beautiful house stood there; she tidied it up and ate a meal before coming out to climb the same tree. The man came at the same time, and the next morning, the lion looked about before going on.

After three days of this, she could not discover his secret, so she descended and asked him. He told that he was enchanted by a giant into that form by day and was the lion she had helped; furthermore, the giant had stolen the cows, donkeys, and pigs in revenge for her aid. She wanted to free the man. He told her that the only way was to get a lock of hair from the king's daughter and make a cloak from it for the giant.

The girl got the princess to hire her as a scullion. She dressed very neatly every day, and it came to the ears of the princess, who set her to comb her hair. The girl begged a lock of hair from her until she gave it. The girl wove a coat from it, but it was too small. She went back to the princess, who gave her another lock on the condition that she would find her a prince to marry. The girl said she had already found him, took the lock, and made the coat larger. The giant asked her what reward she wanted. She wanted to turn the lion back into a man. After some argument, the giant told her to kill the lion, cut him up into pieces, burn them, and throw the ash into water. The prince would arise from it a man.

She went away weeping, afraid that the giant had lied and she would kill the prince. The prince comforted her and told her to do it, and it worked. He said he would marry her. The girl told him she had promised the princess that she had found her a bridegroom. They went back to the princess, and her parents, the king and queen, knew him for their own son. So he married the girl who had saved him.

Link to fable: http://www.mythfolklore.net/andrewlang/420.htm

Abilities:
Leon retains his ability to revert into his Werelion form, enhancing his physical strength and endurace at the detrement to his relative speed. In this state he is still conscious and is able to speak normally. However, it is possible for him to revert to this form when angry though this event is very rare indeed.

In his human state, Leon is merely stronger then he appears and his words seem to be able to persuade even the most adamant to consent.

Other:
As odd as it may seem, the man knows a bit of Spanish and can speak it fluently. His apartment is a rather luxurious one with many picture of him and a beautiful woman, though he refuses to speak on it much.

Name: Dorian Grey (Damian Gray among mundies.)

Nickname: Grey

Race: Humanoid Fable

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Job: Purveyor of the Finer Things in life. (IE. Rich Hedonistic Playboy with no 'real job', and a vast fortune to support partying. However occasionally he acts as the Curator of his Museum's Art Gallery.)

Personality: Dorian Grey is happy and thoughtless young man; also known as a brainless beauty. Though despite that he is cultured young man. And while he is thoughtless, it does not mean that his mind is dull. On occasion he can be rather clever. However he sees no point in trying to improve his cleverness, when he can pursue tangible Earthly things and rely on his inherent beauty to get what he desires. Dorian is driven solely by his own desires. In his constant search for sensual pleasures to tickle his fancy, Dorian will use any means to stop those who prove a threat to his amusement. In short, Dorian Grey appears to be a charming individual while he is in fact a cruel and selfish individual, who could be far worse if he had drives beyond obtaining pleasures.

Fable: Once upon a time there was a rather beautiful boy who served as a muse for a talented artist Basil Hallward. The boy, Dorian Grey posed for several self-portraits for Basil. One day, when Basil finished the first self portrait of Dorian, he was approached by his dear friend Lord Henry Wotton. Basil knowing the type of man Wotton is, did not want to introduce his muse to him. But reluctantly he introduced Dorian to Lord Wotton.

Basil was not happy with his portrait, as he felt he revealed too much of his own feelings within it. Lord Wotton, disagreed and felt the painting was Basil's Magnum Opus, due to his own thoughts on the pursuit of pleasure and the celebration of youth. In that vain, Lord Wotton gave a speech to Dorian Grey lamenting how youth and beauty will fade.

This struck a chord with the young Dorian, who viewed his youth and beauty as his most admirable traits. It was to that end he swore that he would trade his own soul, to maintain his youth and beauty as if he was the painting, while the painting grew old and ghastly. At the time, the young ward did not realize that his wish was granted.

Over time, the relationship between Lord Wotton and the young Dorian grew, and Dorian chose to live his life according to Wotton's philosophy of 'New Hedonism'. Dorian pledged that he live for pleasure's sake and pleasure's sake alone. Dorian found himself charmed by a young actress, Sibyl in the slums of London. While Sibyl's brother tried to dissuade her from the path of pursuing a romance with Dorian, she began to fall in love with him and confessed that she truly felt love for him.

Dorian, however only loved her for her ability of acting and cut the relationship shortly after. Sibyl committed suicide and Dorian- upon the behest of Lord Wotton, viewed the matter as an artistic experience. Sibyl represented tragedy that Dorian would no longer need to go through. It was from these series of events, he noticed a change in the self-portrait.

Dorian knew his wish to remain young and beautiful forever was granted, and hid the portrait so only he could see its transformation. He soon threw away conventional morality of the day and now fully devoted himself to pleasure. Eighteen years then passed from this declaration and pursuit of his pleasures. All the while Dorian’s reputation suffered in circles of polite London society, where rumors spread regarding his scandalous exploits.

The artist, Basil Hallward met Dorian Grey once more during a dark and foggy night. He felt that he had to seek the truth, to see whether or not the rumors spread through society were correct regarding the scandals surrounding Grey. After an argument between the two, Dorian eventually decided to show Basil what had become of the painting he made all those years ago. He showed Basil the now-hideous portrait, and Hallward, horrified, begs him to repent. Dorian quickly claimed it is too late for penance and kills Basil in a fit of rage.

After the murder had been committed, Dorian contacted an estranged doctor companion to help him hide the body. Just after the night of the murder, Dorian went to an Opium Den where Sibyl's brother, James Vane tries to exact revenge for her sister's suicide. Dorian managed to escape to his country retreat, and in a scene of serendipitous fortune, James Vane was accidentally killed by a hunting party. Something soon clicked in Dorian's mind and he attempted to seek redemption for the hypocrisy and crimes he committed. Using the knife he killed Basil with he stabbed the painting. His servants, were said to find an old and wretched Dorian Grey next to the young picture which was seemingly unscathed.

Of course, the end was just a fable. Dorian Grey did not in fact truly seek redemption for his foul acts. After all, old habits died hard. He simply needed a way to avoid the continued scandals of London, and faking his own death was the best option. Dorian Grey traveled around throughout the years as a rich playboy, seeking to fuel his own sensual desires. Sadly, with the troubles of the Adversary, and the fact that he was spotted out as a Fable instead of just a ravishing young mundie, his Bohemian Lifestyle came to a close. Dorian had to move to Fabletown and keep a permanent lodging there.

This event however, won't stop Dorian Grey from getting his desires filled.

Abilities:
Painting Phylactery: Dorian Grey has endurance and regeneration powers BEYOND that of a normal Fable. This is due to the self portrait- which now down-right eldtritch- that is bound to him, due to the deal he made with his own soul. As long as the painting is kept safe, Dorian Grey cannot die and will regenerate from any wounds (though of course more destructive wounds are more painful to revive from and take quite a bit of time).

Sinner's Heart: After many decades of incredibly lavish and hedonistic parties, mental and body effecting substances have lost their 'touch'. At the best, Mister Grey can get a minor buzz from these substances.

Other: Dorian Grey has an intense cycle of defrauding insurance companies, by pulling out many life insurances on himself and giving it down a series of relatives (ie. him), in order to finance his own pleasures alongside mooching from richer benefactors. Mister Grey also has an incredibly vast collection of paintings, (personal and museum only pieces) many of them being down-right horrific paintings, with a large chunk being self-portraits.[/hider]

Name: Abdul Alhazred. This name is (falsely) thought of as a pseudonym by his readers.

Nickname: Abdul

Race: Humanoid Fable

Gender: Male

Job: Abdul makes a tidy sum as a writer of coffee table horror novels. He has written several books on alternative medicine and spirituality, to mixed reception.

Personality: Despite his history, Abdul embodies the very concept of a kindly old man. He is always happy to accept guests into his home, and holds no small amount of patience for children and pets. Abdul's voice is a horrendous grackle-squawk tempered only by a soothing tone and a thick Arabian accent.

Fable: Once upon a time... Abdul was of a scholarly mind from his birth in the early 700s, in The Arabian Homeland. Surrounded by beings with terrific powers, Abdul took it upon himself to record many of the less savory beings living in his Homeland. He traveled across his homeland, learning hushed stories from local shamans and priests, and narrowly evading death at the hands of ghuls, djinni, and other demons of all sorts.

The end result of Abdul's travels and learnings was enough to fill an entire grimoire of dark lore and sinister rituals. Abdul named his grimoire Al Azif, after the mysterious howling noises supposedly made by demons in the night. Not satisfied with the reception Al Azif got in the Homeland, Abdul moved to the Mundane World, and worked his way across medieval Eurasia, learning from the local cultures and adding onto Al Azif.

Abdul Alhazred happily shared his works with all who were curious, and found astonishing popularity as a wizard, medicine man, and exorcist. Al Azif was passed on to a wide variety of recipients, and influenced a large amount of the world's occult culture throughout the Renaissance and beyond.

Al Azif was rewritten dozens of times by Abdul, each attempting to serve a different purpose. Some became holy instructions for demon-hunters, others became an occult recipe book for raising the dead and cursing one's enemies.

The latest of Abdul's rewrites, the Necronomicon Ex Mortis, had found its way into the possession of a little-known English author in the early 1900s. Plagued by nightmarish dreams about what he read in the Necronomicon, the author wrote story after story based off his fiendish night terrors. At the forefront of all these stories was the nightmare-creation of the Mad Arab, Abdul Alhazred.

Due to the nature of belief and its effects on one's life, this astonishing surge of popularity not only gave Abdul great amounts of power, but it changed him immensely. Once thought of as a kindly old wizard, his public image had turned him into a snaggle-toothed warlock with a crooked back and yellowing eyes. All of Abdul's other works were forgotten, and the Necronomicon entered into the public subconscious as Abdul's greatest and only product. Now known as a mad worshipper of elder gods and sinister demons, Abdul went a bit insane. He produced many more eldritch tomes bastardizing his previous works, and personally headed a number of dangerous cults. Each time, his tome went forgotten, and each time his cult was disseminated within the decade.

In 1950, Abdul realized that his current attitude would only end in an unpleasantly brief moment of government attention, and opted to find some peace away from his homelands. He moved away from the Old World, and emigrated to America. His books on cruel rituals and mad gods found no audience beyond the tabletop wargames crowd, and so Abdul turned his encyclopaedic knowledge of the occult outwards into the fictional realm. Now a little-known writer of penny-dreadfuls and spooky doorstoppers, Abdul eked out a quiet living in New York.

Never one to interact with other Fables, he hadn't even realized that Fabletown existed until recently. When it was discovered that he was the Abdul Alhazred, Abdul was promptly forced into Fabletown, to live with the rest of the Fables. The alternative, of course, was definitely not preferable. Abdul is certainly not a pillar of the community, but he has earned some measure of popularity as the suspiciously kind old freak living in a creepy apartment.

Abilities: Abdul has no actual combat abilities, though his fingernails are almost constantly filthy, and he is abnormally strong for someone of his stature.

Abdul's many travels have given him a wealth of knowledge, focusing on tradition, herbal medicine, ancient religions, and defense against evil creatures. He knows a wide variety of rituals for a wide variety of circumstances, though the materials necessary for them have long ago gone extinct. Only a few rituals can be reliably replicated with modern equivalents.

Abdul is a quite popular author, and his appearance is well-known to his readers. Though he is certainly not a celebrity like the (in)famous Jack, Abdul is capable of using his star power to get small amounts of special treatment from mundies.

Though Abdul is quite hideous, he is not nearly hideous enough to require a Glamor and has had plenty of experience working with mundies. Abdul is capable of comfortably fitting into mundane culture with very little effort on his part.

Once Upon A Time

Name:
Paul Bunyan

Nickname:
Changed his surname Braunson to avoid awkwardness with Mundies.

Race:
Human Fable, Giant

Gender:
Male

Appearance:
There is only one change between Paul's Glamoured and unglamoured state, size. Paul stands 40 feet without his Glamour, jarring given that he now stands at a measly 6'6 in height. Paul is extremely broad and well built, towering over most other fables easily. His beard is a dense and wild thing, rough like the forests he tamed in his hay day of lumberjacking. The condition of his beard is shared with the rest of his body, black as coal and as dense as stone. Many a brush has met its end trying to tame his mane. His hands are covered in thick calluses from more than several centuries of hard labor and his skin is a little weather beaten fir the same reasons. As a general rule Paul tends to wear typical lumberjack garb. Plaid shirts, working boots, thick jeans, and a greenish-brown beanie fitted snug atop his head.

Job:
Owns a logging company however most of that money goes to maintaining his Glamour. Paul works odd jobs around town, anything from construction to bartending. His most stable job is as a cook at the I Am The Eggman Diner, he makes killer flapjacks.

Personality:
Paul is every bit the happy lumberjack from the stories. He is dedicated, determined, and always willing to give a helping hand. He values a good days work above most things, the only things on an equal plane being trustworthy friends and a hearty meal. Paul is also an avid supporter of the LGBTA community, the freedom to be who you is something he values greatly as well.

However he is not all sunshine and hearty laughs, accusing him of doing shoddy work is a quick way to get on his bad side and picking on people who can't defend themselves is another sore spot for him. However nothing riles him up more than reminding him that, for all his wealth he is barely holding on and he can't even help his oldest friend.

Fable:
Back in the Homelands, Paul was every unnamed woodsman in stories. Paul himself was a humble man with the power to cut down trees, no matter their make. Eventually he felt a pull of sorts and left for the west. It was there that Paul Bunyan the legend was created. With every tree he cut down he grew, and grew, and grew until he became the giant he is now. From felling entire forests single handedly to fighting the strange beasts of this lands Paul was known as a pillar of strength to the lumberjacks who told his stories. As with all things however, things change. When he found the blue bull Babe, Paul was faced with a challenge he had never seen before. You couldn't fix a hungry calf by telling a tree or fighting a giant monster, for the first time in his life Paul had to raise something instead of making it fall.

As the story went, Paul eventually got the hang of it and the two individuals became inseparable. And so the two went on many the adventure, the pair completing deed after deed until the exodus began. When Paul caught wind of what The Adversary was up to he and Babe hurried to the Homelands as fast as they could but by the time they arrived most of the damage was done. In the end Paul and Babe were among the last to leave the Homelands, his ability to sunder the troope of the Adversary was invaluable in helping many Fables escape. In the end however, Paul was only one man and he had to leave nursing a grew deal of wounds between him and Babe. In the aftermath Paul had to sell many of his holdings and Babe was eventually trapped in The Farm as he was left destitute. The injury on his pride was slow to heal, leaving him a bitter man for a long time before he came to accept his lot in life.

Abilities:
Paul is much, much stronger than any Mundie and in fact is stronger than all but the strongest Fables. In his unglamoured form his strength is even greater, able to cleave through just about anything with a swing of his mighty axe. In addition he is really hard to put down, his relative popularity with the Mundies being a large factor. Lastly when Paul is armed with his axe he has the ability to cut through wood like it was made of butter, even magically enhanced wood would eventually fall to its blows.

Other:
-Paul has a titanic appetite, able to out eat and out drink pretty much everyone.
-Every couple years he will drop by to the Valley of Slumbering Giants to visit Babe.
-His giant axe is kept in a secret place, hidden so that only he can get it when the need arises.
-While in no way a vegetarian, Paul can't bring himself to eat beef after raising Babe.
-Through his many years in America he has seen the rise of several figures of American legend like John Henry and Johnny Appleseed. Become good friends with the former.

Name: Guan Yu (He does not hide his name, merely laughing off the naming as a coincidence)

Nickname: Yunchang to those of his age or his sworn brothers

Race: Human Fable

Gender: Male

Appearance: In his Mundane form, Guan Yu is a tall, suit wearing oriental man with a truly glorious beard a foot and a half in length. His most prized possession is a jade green cane, which is more of an accessory as he does not need it to walk. When not disguising himself, however, he grows almost a foot in height and his clothes are replaced by those of a truly royal regalia, and his cane morphs into the Dragon Crescent Halberd that was his weapon in life.

Job: CEO of Celestial Life Insurance Pty Ltd

Personality: Guan Yu is a stalwart man who believes in justice and virtue. Above all else, he believes in loyalty to one's family and friends. Beyond his ideals, he is a calm and serious man, yet he possesses kindness and compassion and always has time for anyone who possesses grievances for him to hear. He truly aspires to his sworn brother's ideal of a world of benevolence, and brings it about by being benevolent himself.

Fable: Once upon a time in Chinese history there was a legendary figure named Guan Yu. Once the sworn brother of Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, he made his mark through his incorruptible honour and dedication to his brothers and their cause. His death at Fan Castle was only the beginning of his career, though, as the Chinese people petitioned their ancestors to allow Guan Yu to enter the Celestial Bureauocracy as the God of War. However, as a god he didn't necessarily bless those who go to battle but instead those who observed the code of brotherhood and righteousness. Eventually, as his popularity in the afterlife grew, he was elected by his descendants to the position of Celestial Emperor.

When the Fables returned to the Mundane world, Guan Yu was pleased to find that China had blossomed in his absence, though he did not visit upon fear of being recognized. His image was everywhere, and removing his beard would be a most heinous crime against his own sensibilities. So instead, he went to the Americas, to Fable-town, and decided to continue his role as a custodian of the afterlife by providing people with security for their families when they inevitably passed on. And so it was that CLI Pty Ltd was formed, and through Guan Yu's benevolence, many felt safe and secure for investing with him.

However, one must never forget that Guan Yu is a fierce warrior, and when his disguise is shed, he is a terrifying enemy to behold.

Abilities:
When transformed, Guan Yu possesses the strength of a hundred men. This is not an exaggeration. A single swipe of his halberd sends men flying, and he can withstand blows that would crush a regular mortal. His beard is also known to inspire awe in ordinary men, such is its beauty and glory.

Regardless of his transformed state, Guan Yu can make his jade cane/dragon halberd simply appear in his hand, though it is a power he guards from others. Thus, it is impossible to steal it from him.

He is also a capable statesman and manager, but not talented in the art of strategy. It is best to let others create plans while he executes them.

Name: Sun Wukong to any of the Fables that know him, to the Mundies he is known as Sonny Wu the Kung Fu Dude (this will be explained later)

Nickname: Generally known as Monkey, Monkey King (preferred Handsome Monkey King) or to the more religious Buddha (a Buddha not THE Buddha)

Race: Monkey/Humanoid Fable

Gender: Male

Apperance:

When glamored Sonny appears to be your typical Chinese immigrant trying too hard to be American. His messy dirty blonde hair hangs around his ears and his face is almost always covered in scruff. Sonny generally tries to wear his gold framed aviators and prefers to wear his standard wrinkled red and white Hawaiian shirt with his dirty black muscle shirt that he keeps tucked into his "karate" pants. The pants seem to be held up by his tattered and worn out black belt and his feet are almost always covered in sandals. Sonny has an unnatural obsession for gold wearing everything from a "Rolex" (that's what the "salesman" he met on the street said) to a painfully tacky gold chain.

Job: Owner and Sensei of Sonny Wu's Kung Fu School

Personality: Wukong by his very nature has been described as a "naughty monkey". From time immemorial he has been known to play pranks on the gods and immortals of China sometimes taking them too far without realizing it. Wukong's temper is infamous since he has actually assaulted the Celestial Emperor's palace because he was not given the respect that thought he deserved.

Fable: A Journey West
Once Upon A Time...on top of the Mountain of Fruit and Flowers sat a stone that was formed when Heaven and Earth first collided. From that stone came an egg and from the egg came a stone monkey, this is the birth of Sun Wukong. Wukong's early life was filled with adventures in which he, known as the Handsome Monkey King after leading his fellow monkeys to the Steel Curtain's Waterfall, led his fellow monkeys in causing mischief to all those whose path they crossed.

As time passed and Wukong grew into a man his strength and skill grew, as did his arrogance. He believed himself equal to that of the Celestial Emperor and began causing trouble for him and his bureaucracy although Wukong did not receive the results that he desired. After he was given a minor title and sent on his way Wukong became outraged and declared himself "The Great Sage Equal to Heaven" by placing a giant banner stating such and placed it on top of the Mountain of Fruit and Flowers. Outraged at his arrogance, the Celestial Emperor sent 100,000 Jade Soldiers to bring him to justice.

After thwarting all who came before him Wukong continued to torment the Emperor until finally the Emperor gave the title of Guardian of the Sacred Peach Grove. Finally satisfied, Wukong took the position with great pride although his natural curiosity would give him one of the greatest gifts of all time. After eating one of the Sacred Peaches Wukong was given immortality something normally reserved for the Emperor and his court. As the time of the Emperors celebration drew near, a time when he and his court gather to drink the Elixir of Immortality a pair of faeries stopped and made fun of Wukong and told him that he was not important enough to attend such a prestigious event.

Outraged, Wukong launched a full out assault on the Emperor's Palace defeating any who stood in his path and leaving as much destruction in his wake. After dealing with the infuriating Monkey King for so long the Celestial Emperor finally turned to Buddha for help. Buddha responded by trapping Wukong underneath Five Elements Mountain for five hundred years. At the end of time underneath the mountain Buddha told Wukong that for causing trouble in the Celestial Bureaucracy he was to be sent out into the world to obtain enlightenment and atone for his sins.

In his travels he headed east aiding a monk to obtain sacred sutras ensuring that he did not meet his end along the Silk Road. It was here along the road that he began to see the true purpose of what the Celestial Emperor did and slowly began changing his way of thinking and in time, at the end of their journey, Wukong achieved Enlightenment and took his place at Buddha's side.

When the Adversary began its march across his lands Wukong could not stand by while the gods and immortals were slowly wiped away Wukong left his place at Buddha's side to aid those that called themselves Fables and in time grew to love his new surroundings, even opening up a martial arts school within the heart of what is known as Fable-Town taking on the moniker of "Sonny Wu the Kung Fu Dude". The overwhelming response from Mundies and Fables alike once again began to fuel his ego and he has since began debating if he will return once the treat of the Adversary is vanquished.

Abilities:

Ruyi Jingu Bang- Sun Wukong's signature weapon, Jingu Bang has the ability to change its shape and size based upon its users will. After wielding this shape-shifting staff for so long, Wukong has learned his to use this in combat. While the true staff stays in the ethereal realm with Buddha he was granted a staff with similar properties to use while on Earth.

Golden Armor of the Dragon King- This armor enhances Wukong's already immense strength. After Wukong left Buddha's side the armor lost all of its magical properties

Master of the Tao- Wukong has mastered the seventy-two transformation arts of the Tao although some of the transformations are a bit harder for him to manage some of them since he has never really figured out what to do with his tail. While most his transformations are smaller creatures (i.e. small animals which take little effort) larger creatures take more time and meditation to perform and require more chi to maintain.

Magic Hair- Every strand of hair on Wukong's head can be plucked and used in some sort of magic usually in the form of illusions of himself or weapons to give himself an advantage.

Xuanzang's Golden Crown- While not an actual ability for him to use, the crown was given to him by the now Buddha Xuanzang in order to restrict his powers. While it does this job beautifully, to those that know the mantra the Crown will constrict while emitting holy energy causing him immense pain and weakness.
