@Mr Allen J For my 'just a mind' character, he'd be very weak to any direct mental attacks, which could cause him to die if they persist for long enough, plus he'd also die if over exerted his abilities. I was thinking of making him a technopath, so his mind takes control of various, self-made robots if he ever needs to fight something.

As for backstory thing, I can see that and while I usually pull the dark past card a lot, I'll try not to thus time.

Giving him the ability to take control of technology and fight people while only being able to be defeated by telepaths (which we currently have none of) seems slightly unbalanced to me.

Not trying to be dickish, but if your character is incorporeal, it should cut both ways. Being a technopath would be a very powerful ability (especially given the technologically oriented groups such as the Hands of Science, NEST, etc) without counting the fact that destroying the machine he's inhabating wouldn't destroy him.

Lot of potential for chaos there. He could inhabit a cop's gun and shoot someone innocent, set off bombs, etc, etc.

The same goes for the entire cast. Other than that, Shade covered all points just fine.

Also, I changed Michelle's power to something different because I wasn't feeling the dino powahs (And realized she wouldn't use them).

As for incorpeality (if that's not a word guess what it is now), I could see two different approaches

1) He/she has a body, but can phase out of it. This is a power I've used before.

2) Is totally incorporeal. If you want to go that route (which I think is what you want) the biggest drawbacks are that he/she (we're gonna go with he just for brevity's sake) can't alter anything without, say, significant effort on his part. Depending on if you wanted to use a motif, maybe he can't be in direct sunlight either. If you wanted him to be able to interfere with stuff more readily, you'd need a drawback to balance that out. Perhaps he has something/somewhere that he draws energy from, and whenever he takes action, it depletes that source. If he exhausts himself, he has to return to that place/acquire more X before he's able to do so again. Since I think Lone wants to lean more towards the science side of thing than the paranormal side of things, perhaps he was a powerful psychic meta who died and his consciousness something something.

Just spitballing. If he's going to be a technopath, that's okay, but he'll need some pretty developed weaknesses, because even with minor technopathy you can wreak a LOT of havoc in a world that depends on smart phones and cell towers. One missed call to 911, one handgun trigger pull...

I'll be working on my other character. Maybe? Might stick to two. Or not. I dunno. Trying to figure this out.

All we need is one more NEST Agent, and we'll have ourselves a Five man Band!

Then we'll decide who must become the fifth wheel.
Probably Carl.

I believe Allen is referring to this.

Our NEST agents really don't seem to fit the Five Man Band archetypes, though.

I will have at least one more character coming out, who will be a bad guy (since we have so many NESTies). I may also make one normal character who won't be a part of any faction. Their power may or may not involve the majestic cactus.

EDIT: What's a word for someone who just hates people?

I have ideas for about 5 characters, two being a part of NEST(Technopath and Crystal/Diamond manipulation/Generation), one being in the Academy(Dragonic Physiology), and one either being apart of no factions at all or being in one of the gangs(Drains the Meta-energy from people, leaving them without their powers, or dead in the case of certain individuals)

Meta energy draining sounds like it could become really OP.

Thank you for the word, Allen. I knew your hatred of humanity would come in handy someday.

EDIT: I might run a character that I used a while back for a non-affiliated character (after I finish Plague). Not sure which, though. Maybe Spencer (could generate this stardust-like stuff that he could use to build tools with). I was going to do Titus (super-strong regenerative buttmonkey) but we already have a ragdoll.

I'd like some NEST Agents that aren't among my dudebros, so I approve of that one. And I like the Dragon idea, so I suggest that one too. Not sure how I feel about the guy who can take people's powers away. Probably won't sit well with other people.

You should totally run Titus. Though, I kinda want to see Taylor, or Carol again. I liked them.

MOVING ON TO IMPORANT STUFF

We were discussing the plot on Skype (Which we should really stop doing, since the non-skype peeps can't get involved D:) and our good friend Maxx suggested that I don't railroad people into the Fiends plot. To which I wholeheartedly agree - there's going to be a point where everyone will have to get involved anyway, so let's not force it. He suggested that we do something that we did in an RP ages ago, and come up with multiple plots, for different people. Which, is a very good idea, honestly. Because, it'll help us get immersed in the whole if there's multiple things going on (Which isn't far fetched in a city like this).

Only problem is that we can't come up with anything. Since I want to get you lovely people involved, how about we discuss the plot and come up with plans for it? So far, I can see the story being separated into age groups (1-20, and 20+ Non-NEST).

It's only temporary drain, the loss isn't instant, and it also makes him the meta equivalent of a lightning rod. It also onky effects a certain area, 5 meters at most, the surface of his skin at the least. He can also reverse the flow so that he expels Meta energy from the area. Gives him an advantage over energy type elemental, not so much for metas like your concrete lady. Other than that, he's completely vulnerable to all the things normal people are weak to.

I don't mean to demand a place on stage but, rumors of a monster in the sewers could help me get Vero involved if someone decided to do some urban spelunking.
