Standing at 6'5, Alek always stood out in a crowd, even more so with his huge muscular frame, piercing light blue eyes, and platinum blonde hair. Even the few people who are taller than him can admit that he has a presence about him that makes people tend to feel a little bit smaller. His skin was white as one could be and covered with a few scars here and there, testament to his experiences on the field and in his rather active youth.

After he awakened his abilities as a Meta-human, however, he became even more intimidating to some people . . . and just a bit ridiculous to others. His skin has taken on a bit of a crimson coloration, his hair and eyes turned scarlet, then began to change color according to his mood. He also is covered with a variety of ugly scarring across his body from nearly Ashing, and suffers from a chronic case of having no right arm. Oh, and his left eye and heart had to be replaced with mechanical substitutes as well, though he chose to replace by him forming a crystalline prosthetic instead of a metal one because it seemed more practical for him and as a good way to help him develop his powers.

Innate & Outward Personality:

Alek is not a man of subtlety, he's about the most blunt and brutally honest guy you could ever meet. He's never afraid to speak his mind, no matter who he's talking to, though he does now that theirnare times to speak out and times when things can be saved for later. He never lies about anything, but that doesn't mean he can't keep a secret, quite the opposite in fact, he's one of the best people to tell a secret to. Once he makes a promise on something, their are very few forces on this green earth that can get him to break it.

Also, due to events in his past, he can be a tad bit over-protective, especially whennit comes to his Daughter Yvonne, whose powers would make her a very, very tempting target for organizations such as the Hands of Science. Those same issues of his past have also made it so he doubts his ability to protect those closest too him. While around others, he's a boisterous, confident, blunt as a hammer man that seems to exude nothing but good will towards everyone, in reality he's a man plagued by self-doubt, often falling into depression when he's by himself.

Hobbies/Interests:

Has taken up an interest in jewelry since acquiring his powers and runs a small shop in Bazaar Riveria in his off-time. He's also enjoys hunting, fishing, and coaching the wrestling team at his daughter's school. He's also a bit of a critic when it comes to alcohol, wine specifically, but that doesn't mean he can't have fun getting roaring drunk with some of his work buddies whenever the time comes. He's not an alcoholic, but he always tries to get really drunk whenever they do go out, and any damages he makes can kinda be paid for by the damages since he grows diamonds and what not.

Skills/Talents:

He's a highly skilled soldier, able to expertly wield any standard firearms and is a quick enough learner to pick up on other one. His hand to hand skills are good, just not as good, but he more than makes up for it with his raw strength and determination. Add his powers into the mix, and in hardly even matters if he's a skilled fighter or not in most cases. He's more skilled in wrestling, though, so if he gets his hands on you, you're likely as good as gone.

For non combat related things, he's good at making Jewelry and actually finds it calming. In fact, the majority of gifts he gives to people, regardless of gender, tends to be hand-made jewelry or sculptures with jewels in them, as he does a fair bit of metal work as well. More stuff may come later; usually come up with these kinds of things in the IC

History/Bio:

Aleksander's life before NEST wasn't really that eventful. His parents were Native-born Russian's who moved to America for a better life, his father's skill with computers making the Silicon Valley the perfect place for him to find work. As time passed, life went on as normal could be. Well, except for when he got into fights.

Aleksander could never keep himself out of trouble, always getting into fights since he was little, with a will of iron and a heart of gold, if he saw someone getting picked pom, he'd be the first one to put the bully in their place, or at least he'd try to. In his younger years, he was a rather small guy, with barely any muscle or strength to call his own. He was given the title 'Chihuahua' because he was all bark and no bit. Despite this, and all the bully he received because of his actions, he never once broke down, never once let the bullies see him sweat. He began to work out once he hit his teens, training as hard as he could so that he could protect those who couldn't protect themselves.

Around the time he hit high school is when he hit his first growth spurt, going from 5'2 to 5'9 with in the first year, and then reaching his current height in his second. This combined with the body he had been pushing to the limit with intense training made it so that he now had plenty of bark to back up his bite. Soon bullies stop being a problem, and while he should've felt overjoyed by this achievement, he only felt a bittersweet emptiness now. His role as a protect was over, and he felt rather purposeless. HE then began to think on his future, what he wanted to do with his life and what kind of legacy he wanted to leave behind. The answer came to him in a rather interesting way, as he found his school held hostage one day by a drugged up Meta.

They had had corrosive powers and had threatened to melt the whole school unless some insane demands were met. However, riding in to the recuse came a team of NEST agents, both Meta-Human and normal people, who world together to bring the man down. That singular moment is what sent him on his path forever more. As soon as he was eligible, he signed up to be an NEST academy, eager to prove himself worthy and help people. HE soon proved himself to be an excellent agent, with his only struggle being in his mental facilities. He wasn't dumb, not in the slightest, but his straightforward way of thinking made some situations rather difficult for him to think through in the way NEST wanted.

In the end, he passed at the age of ?? with some reservations and a note for him to be kept away from more diplomatic and subtle operations until he could get a handle on that. He was apart of the force for 5 years, working with a team consisting of mostly meta, when the event happened. It was supposed to be a simple mission, to go in and take out a known Meta-crimnal in his hideout, but somehow the man had gotten wind of the attack and had called in backup in the form of two powerful meta-humans. The fight had been intense, ending with half of Alek's squad dying and the enemy only losing on of their own and suffering moderate wounds themselves. They had been pinned down in an area when Alek, convinced he was about to die, turned to his comrades and told them to make a run for it. He then ran out into the open and open fired on the enemy.

He was able to take them by surprise, killing the weaker one with a battery of shots to the chest, but the other was made of sterner stuff, able to take the damage with ease and charged at Alek. Knowing this was probably going to be the way he died, Alek decided to go out fighting, tossing the gins aside and charging the man with a bestial roar. It was in the heat of the moment, with his heart racing, adrenaline pumping, and synapses firing, that he felt a surge of power flow through his system, followed by a strange cracking sound. He bull rushed the guy and felt his blows hammer down onto his back, but they felt weakened somehow. Not questioning it, he lifted the meta up and threw them against a wall, before charging at them again. And so the fight would continue on, a viscous fist fight that would seem to go on forever. Whatever was keeping Alek alive, and letting him hurt the meta, it wasn't enough. He could feel himself being beaten back, feel his grip on his mind fading.

With one last thought, he called upon every last shred of power he could reach and unleashed it with a deafening yell. And then he woke up in a hospital bed, covered in strange scars, missing an arm, a leg, and feeling a strange sensation in his chest. What had happened was that he'd generated a massive amount of crystals around him, shooting out of the warehouse and ripping his opponent to shreds, a very impressive feet, but it should've Ash'd him right then and there. The only reason he survived, however, is because his entire body had been crystalized, keeping it perfectly preserved in that moment. Over the course of a year, NExt had slowly excavated around him, then brought him over to the head quarters. A month after that, he slowly came out of it and was immediately rushed over to the nearest medical facility.

They were able to just barely save him from asking, making him one of the lucky 4 percent, but he bares scars all over his chest, back, legs, and remaining arm from the encounter. Most people probably would've retired after such an event, especially when they'd lost so much of themselves and narrowly avoided death, but the very first thing that Alek said after being told this was,"Well then, when's the earliest I can get back to work. I'm not dead yet, and I certainly don't plan on letting a little think like this stop me from protecting the good people of the world. Besides, at least I didn't get any scars on my face, it's ugly enough as is."

Crystal Manipulation:Alek can generate and manipulate constructs made of a specialized Diamond-like crystal. His main use for this ability is to form an extremely durable and resilient layer of it around his body, making a flexible layer of armor on him that can protect him from some of the worst attacks out there. The armor can be thickened to provide greater defense, but that takes away from the mobility. At it's highest point, it's nigh invulnerable, but it turns him into a statue. Aside from thickness, he can also use it to more quickly create even more crystals to use in a offense measure, such as a whip made form crystal vipers, covering it in spikes, the options are near endless if one just applies their mind to it.

Aside from the armor, he can generate constructs from the world around him, making spikes and whatnot burst from the ground to attack his foes, though it's easier for him to crystalize something than manipulate that then to make it out of nothing. Anything that he crystalizes can be reversed by him or others with a similar power, though it'd take more effort for another person.

Crystaline Physiology: Not only can Alek create crystals, but he's also partially made out of them. The reason why he looks the way he does is because he's taken on the characteristics of the crystal's he grows. His cells are much more densely packed together, making his skin harder to pierce, and making him much stronger and more durable than the average guy. A bullet will get through, but he can easily block a knife with his bare hand and suffer only a small scratch. He can also crystalize his body in order to heal himself from any wounds he does happen to receive, though it's a slow process and best saved for serious injuries, Crystalizing also serves the purpose of making parts of his body more durable and increasing his strength in those parts, however, if they get fractured, or even shattered, then the damage will translate back when it returns to normal. This usually makes for a right bloody mess of a limb, so he doesn't often use this method.

Limits:

His armor can take on a large amount of damage, but it's incapable of self-repair on the move. So if it develops cracks, Alek needs to find a place to bunker down before they break down and leave him exposed. Also, the armor doesn't negate damage, just weakens it. If he gets hit by a strong enough attack(let's say Michelle's Full Powered Punch, which seems like it would probably break the armor, or leave it severely damaged afterwards), it will hurt him, just not as much as if he were to take it without the armor. The armor is his main combat application of the power, and at it's most basic iteration, doesn't require much power. He can easily keep it up for long periods of time, the longest he's kept it continually active is about a week. However, repairing the armor can leave him feeling slightly fatigued, and while that doesn't seem like much, it adds up over time if a battle drags on.

When manipulating his crystals and generating them, they have to be somewhere with in about a 15 meter radius. If it's out of that radius, he can't manipulate it, and the farther away something is, the more energy it takes to manipulate and the less reactive the crystal becomes. Crystalizing anything takes a good amount of energy, requires Alek to touch the subject, and it doesn't happen instantly. It actually takes about 30 seconds of contact before the crystallization even starts.

Weaknesses/Drawbacks:

Alek is not very agile, nor is he particularly fast. Add on to that the density of his frame and you'll find that he'll sink with great ease into any body of liquid anything. His armor is also vulnerable to piercing attacks and anything the utilizes a rapid shift in temperatures, so if he faces a pyro- or cryo-kinetic, he's in for a bad time. Stealth is near impossible for him do to the fact that his crystals tend to take on bright colors, the only exception being Black for when he's murderously angry/Berserking. His looks also make it impossible for him to pass as a non-meta, especially with his arm made entirely of crystal, which he usually covers in bandages to make it less distracting to others.

While the crystals he create are durable, they're able to be broken with less effort than is needed to break his armor as it's a lot denser(meaning that he'll sink even faster into any liquid while he has it on) and could resist low caliber bullets with relative ease, shotguns at close range or slug rounds will cause moderate cracking, Sniper rifles and Large Calibur Hand cannons can severely crack the armor, even breaking/piercing it if the weapon is powerful enough. For more blunt damage, it could withstand getting hit by the punch of someone with moderate levels of super strength or having some throw a car at him. Both events would definitely cause him quite a bit of pain as well and would probably cause moderate to severe cracking, depending on how focused the area of effect is.

Another weakness are High levels of vibrations, which not only can weaken and destroy his arm with ease, but can also damage him as well due to his crystalline physiology. Another reason why you'll never see Alek attend an Opera house.

Other:

Alek has a tendency when not on duty to keep any valuables on hand inside of his crystal arm. Makes it a lot harder for sneaky pickpockets to get him. He also has a pet dog, a Husky named Fluffy by his daughter when she was 5 years old. It was a present from him and a way to teach her how to responsibly take care of another living being, something he was having trouble with at the moment as well.

Physical Appearance:

James is a broad man, heavyset though by no means fat. He keeps his hair short to disguise its natural curls and is somewhat particular of it being out of place. Though known for being clean-shaven, James has recently decided to grow a short, well-kept beard which has proven popular amongst his peers, especially the sporadic blonde or ginger hair amidst the sea of black.

Attire:

He takes a great deal of pride in his appearance and though he is not slavishly beholden by the desire to wear name brand clothes, he does take great care to ensure his outfits have a timelessness and simplicity to them. In his professional life he opts for either crisp white button down shirts and suit trousers with smart shoes, sometimes opting for blue, burgundy, or grey jumpers if the weather calls for it. Whilst not at work James wears Oxford shirts with the sleeves rolled up with burgundies, dark greens, and very dark blues being common, and is often seen in a pair of chinos.

James is a conflicted young man. He is at once brave, noble, intelligent, and friendly, but within him there is a rage, a silent menace, that travels with him. He is charismatic and funny when he wants to be though is prone to bouts of rage characterised by a leaden silence. Throughout his life he has battled with this duality, feeling dragged in two different directions at all times, the young boy that dreamt of growing up and being an example, being everything his father was not, and the adult that fears he is turning into his father. It’s this conflict that holds James back in life. His natural charisma, his propensity for deep thought, and his ability to overcome adversity marked him out as a potential leader early in life, something not unnoticed by his peers, but the doubt, the darkness in him has made him wary of ever pursuing it. What if he became the man he was always meant to be and the darkness overtook him? What if he tried to lead and failed? It’s these thoughts that have kept James on the side line his entire life. Though with each passing year he worries that his potential is slipping away from him.

Hobbies/Interests:

James is a political animal first and foremost, a fact he keeps hidden from all but his closest acquaintances, and keeps a close eye on current affairs. Outside of this he has an affinity for film, photography, and is an avid fan of basketball, American football, soccer, and occasionally plays some tennis and squash.

Skills/Talents:

James underwent basic NEST training and as a result has a degree of skill in hand to hand combat. He didn't quite take to the physical side of the training however and as a result his skill is very limited. Enough to handle himself in a street fight if it came down to it but nowhere near capable enough to stand toe to toe with someone that actually knew what they were doing. The same could be said of his weapon training.

Prized Possession:

James is a particularly unsentimental person. Due to the nature of his family background he lacks any family heirlooms and as a result everything he needs in the world he can carry in a single holdall at any time, though he recently purchased an expensive watch with a simple brown leather strap and a white face under the auspices of handing it down to any son he might have. He works from his laptop and is rarely seen without it.

History/Bio:

James' paternal grandparents were economic migrants to the United States from Jamaica in the 1950’s and his maternal grandfather moved from Thailand to the United States shortly afterwards seeking work and opportunity and found both. His maternal grandmother grew up on a struggling farm in Nebraska. Her parents, unable to feed and house their many children, sent many of them, Bishop’s grandmother included, to Verthaven to find a better life than Nebraska had afforded them. It’s not uncommon for James to hear that his ethnic background is uncommon. He is a walking mixing pot even in a city renown for its diversity.

Bishop’s father abandoned his mother shortly after he was born and as a result his mother was forced to bring him up on her own in one of the roughest parts of Verthaven in Eagle-Rock Row. She tried her best to provide for him but James spent much of his childhood fending for himself and as a result grew up far faster than he ought to have. He was a good student, popular amongst his peers, though prone to getting into trouble at school and having altercations with other students. Unlike his friends who took to the court once school ended, Bishop would head home and bury his head in books. It was history that fascinated him most and history that provided him with a sanctuary from the poverty that surrounded him. When it became clear to James he had the chance to leave Eagle-Rock Row and win a scholarship to a private school that would take him to a better part of the city he put his head down and got to work. There was no resentment from his peers, no jealousy on their part that he might be leaving, the kids of Eagle-Rock that were born and die there that James had grow up with rallied around him and kept him safe, let everyone else known that unlike most of them James was going somewhere. Something he was thankful for even to this day.

It wasn’t long after James had left Eagle-Rock that his mother was in a fatal car accident and the James that people had known, the affable, friendly, gregarious James, was replaced by a more sombre one, more mature, more focused on his academia and of making a success of himself at all costs. He lived with his maternal grandmother in Union-Point Hills whilst studying and despite their continued efforts to engage with him, to get him to drop his guard, James remained stoic on all but the rarest occasions. He excelled in school, in the social sciences in particular, and it became clear that he might be able to walk into any university in America. That was when his powers developed. It was unexpected, though James knew plenty of people with powers his family had been almost completely devoid of contact with them. Both his mother and father hadn’t had them and only one great grandfather, his grandmother’s father, who had established the farm back in Nebraska was said to have had them. It wasn’t spoken about often, nor was it something that James asked about, but it was said his great grandfather could speak to the land itself and had transformed their barren little patch into a prosperous stretch of land. On his death the farm was never the same, no crop was ever as fruitful, and with him the powers had died. Or so it was said until James developed his powers.

When it became clear he had powers of his own James gave up all pretensions towards Harvard or Yale and set his mind to the prestigious Academy 12. With some help along the way he was accepted and thrived there, choosing to forego his interest in history and politics to use his powers in a practical way and studying architecture. James was amongst the most gifted students that Academy 12 had ever seen though he remained distant and detached from the more social side of studying there. He made a close group of friends that though scattered across Verthaven and beyond he still speaks to on a daily basis but outside of that he refused to involve himself in the politics of the academy and instead focused on enjoying the experience. Time and time again in training James would refuse to push himself, refuse to apply his powers properly, all for fear of what he could be capable of were he ever to try stop holding back. He could use his powers to make a living, to help make the world a better place, all without giving in to the lure of exploiting their offensive capabilities and he would keep it that way as long as he could.

After graduating from the academy he was approached by NEST and offered a position with them. James was reluctant to accept at first believing they simply wanted to harness his abilities to make him into a weapon should the time come for it. After a great deal of deliberation he accepted their offer and entered into basic training. James took to the mental side of NEST’s work far more naturally than he did the physical side, with such an inquisitive, probing mind he found himself more than adept enough throughout training to make the cut. The physical side was more different. James was not unfit by any means, nor was he lacking in physical strength, but his refusal to push his powers to the limit became more and more of an issue with the passage of time. Eventually James gave in to the goading and cut loose, almost resulting in a serious injury to another NEST recruit in the process and having glimpsed the true destructive force of his powers he walked out on NEST training there and there. He couldn’t risk hurting anyone else, couldn’t risk losing control, and what he might become if they taught him how to use his powers without holding back.

That was two years ago and since James has taken to working for one of the larger architecture firms in Verthaven. His work, aided a great deal by his powers, is some of the most well regarded in the city and James makes a reasonable living as a result. He has settled down, something his friends from Academy 12 would never believe, and when not working spends most of his nights at bars, restaurants, and public houses that Knightdale Row has to offer a person. Bishop tries to block out the moral obligation he feels to get involved after The Fiends attacked downtown and instead throws himself into his work and his friendships. Though the voice in the back of his head urging him to become something more grows stronger and stronger with time.

Bishop has the ability to manipulate magnetic fields. This manifests itself most often in a control over magnetism and ferrous metals. James uses his powers as an Architect to undergo massive construction tasks at great ease, often opting to use his powers instead of cranes, and as such has shown an ability a great deal of weight using his powers at little strain. He is able to levitate, manipulate, and deconstruct any metal substance, has previously levitated other people by their standing on a metal object and levitating it, and can also sense the presence of metal within things. (For example, were he to meet a stranger that had loose change and some keys in his pocket he would be able to sense it) Whilst training with NEST James learnt how to emit an electromagnetic pulse that knocks out everything running on electricity around him, though given he walked out at basic training he has never used it since. First and foremost James uses his powers to aid him in his line of work and is reluctant to use them for much else.

Limits:

James is uncertain exactly how strong his powers could be. His refusal to push himself to his limits means he’s not quite sure. Whilst at the Academy some of the trainers theorised that he would be able to stop bullets, create force fields, and even simulate a type of flight. Theoretically James is aware that he ought to be able to turn himself invisible too by bending light along the electromagnetic spectrum, though he’s never attempted this and is uncertain whether he even could.

Bishop's control over metals only extends to ferrous metals. Non-ferrous metals, such as gold, aluminium, and brass are not reactive to his control.

Weaknesses/Drawbacks:

Metals can only be magnetised as far as their thermal state admits. If a metal is cooled or heated beyond this point James is incapable of exerting anywhere near the same amount of control over them as he might otherwise be able to. If a metal is cooled or heated vastly beyond this point it is completely demagnetised and James cannot exert any control over it whatsoever. Given this, James has a particular aversion to conflict with those capable of temperature manipulation because they are capable of exploiting this weakness and his proficiency in such a conflict would be reliant entirely on his environment. (ie being surrounded by the right type of metals)

There's absolutely nothing from stopping someone from walking up to James and stabbing him with a plastic knife. Or beating him to death with a baseball bat. He doesn't have superhuman reflexes or agility and if he were caught unawares, unable to respond to an impending threat, he could be knocked out or have his throat cut. He is not invulnerable and though the extent of his power is uncertain and the potential he has may be largely untapped, there is a reason for this: his own fear of losing control. This more than anything is Bishop's Achilles heel.

@Raijinslayer Interesting character, he seems pretty good to me, but a few things:

1). You DO know that Crystals are brittle? You can shatter a diamond by stepping on it. I just don't see the whole "nigh invulnerable" part. I mean, it can easily stop a knife, but a few bullets would crack even the hardest crystals.

2). I'm not super sure about the crystaling people part. Even if it takes awhile, it might not end well.

3). One of his nicknames should be "Crazy Diamond".

Other than that, I think he's pretty cool. I do like his power.

@Morden Man First, you didn't indent your sheet properly (The punishment for this heinous crime is being strapped to a chair, and being forced to listen to "Stupid Hoe" for all eternity!). Second, for his ethnicity section, you probably could have just said he was Jamaican/Thai/Whatever, and left the rest of the information for his history/other section. Third, I imagine that there'd be some serious repercussions for the whole incident where he injured another trainee (Like, that'd be something you'd get arrested for...). Finally, the power, I'd like a bit more detail as to what he can do (Since you can do a fuckton with magnetism), and you need to give him real weaknesses. What you listed aren't going to cut it because they apply to everyone.

@Mr Allen JYeah, that did come to mind, buuuuuuuut . . . Superpowers? I just liked the idea, and like I said, it's kind of enhanced crystals, which was my explanation of why they are so durable, if you want, I could change it to rock, but rock is boring, Crystals are awesome, my thought process is a nutshell. Edit: That reminds me, bullets that can break his armor would be armor piercing rounds and most sniper rounds. Armor piercing because that's what they do, and sniper rounds cause sniper rifles have a lot of power. Shotguns could work to, if they are close enough or are Single Slug rounds.

At first glance Daniel appearance as the average Joe nobody would ever notice crossing them on the sidewalk, with a somewhat normal size in height and a face that expressed little singularity. The most notable trait one would notice when speaking to Daniel face to face would be his receding hairline bordering his large forehead and the important mass of hair he keeps combed backwards in a somewhat archaic style. One would easily mistake that hair for blonde, but in reality they're light brown with a hint of grey on the edges, just over the ears. Under the multiple defined waves on his forehead, his eyes are surprisingly very expressive, the hazel colored orbits displaying a vast amount of emotion with only a few movements of his eyebrows. It is complemented by the constant black circles, a result of his sleeping problems and recent lifestyle. A broad nose and thin lips seal the deal concerning his facial traits, with only the dirty, unshaven beard he trims every week.

Around his neck is a silver pendant he's been wearing since the age of 10 and is another element easily noticed when conversing with the man. With medium sized shoulders and arms broad enough to indicate a certain level of self-preservation, he doesn't give off the vibe a weak individual, doomed to be remain low in the food chain. Daniel's hands are relatively large as well, enough so to actually hurt tough men with a simple slap, one could call them workers hands. His chest is somewhat well defined, but his age has made them lose their form for a while now. A feature shared with his abdomen which is now giving birth to a growing beer belly, a result of age as well and a thinner physical training schedule.

Finally, a feature that he was grandly renown for during his teens and young adulthood would be his great ass. Indeed, as much as it may seem uncommon among men, he received a lot of praise from women (and some men) about his well shaped posterior which he did indeed maintain up until now (he doesn't forget leg day). A combination of frequent jogging and past physical prowess has allowed him to maintain healthy and muscular legs.

Attire:

Depending on the weather his attire varies, but he's usually seen with a black turtle neck and skin tight shirt with blue jeans. His black belt is said to be useful for hiding a handgun behind his pants, but he'll usually store his weapons in a Burberry beige coat he wears during his work. As for shoes, he always keeps them pretty classy with the typical business-like pointed shoes, with frequent polishing no less.

Personality

Innate & Outward Personality:

The first impression one would get from seeing the current Daniel would be that he's tired and more than likely sad. His facial expression does give off a feeling of dissatisfaction, almost as if he's aloof toward the environment surrounding him ad well as others. This comes with his pretty slow body language for he is a man that likes to take his time and severely dislikes to be rushed. Added to that factor is his near addiction to coffee; it wasn't uncommon to see him with a mug filled with steaming liquid on his desk at every part of the day, but he really loves his caffeine.

When engaging with him, he still maintains a rather disinterested look as if he were barely considering others' opinions on top of considering them at all. But as he speaks, one would notice his strong ability to take in information and retort the information in a way that it would be clear that he acknowledged it all but would say it in a way that would make it clear what points he wants elaborated. He is a great listener, a quality that served him well during his years in law enforcement and eventually leading small teams. In terms of eloquence, people refer to his long winded speeches and lectures as 'story being told', like the history teacher you'd wish you had. But that also entailed his lack of ability to recognized when people didn't understand him, a contrario to his ability to indicate when he doesn't. He's capable of blathering on about current economical problems to pre-teens who don't give a damn and he'll be oblivious to their lack of understanding.

When talking about composure, he rarely appears stressed despite what he ingests in a regular basis. He's actually quite calm when dealing with tensions and rarely has to raise his voice. However calm isn't the best way to describe him, he easily becomes passively-aggressive when he doesn't quite agree with an opinion, and may become aggressive to someone if things are taking a bit far. All that without ever screaming at someone. He doesn't believe in ruling with tyranny, or at least he didn't when he was working. Handling his siblings on the other hand was the typical Spanish, low-class family style. Plates flying and random swears in various languages being thrown around. This controlled behavior is also translated well in heated situations such as combat, where even confronted with death or major wounds, he keeps a collected mindset. The only downside is that he isn't the best of planners and would sometimes give away to the easier alternative than an overly complex one, for better or for worse.

Nonetheless, he has all the know hows to behave in social groups and in a professional area, however in a household, as stated with his family, he is quite the different man. Sure he is often seen as a man capable of making and taking a joke between friends, but with family he can be pretty severe. He already divorced once out of massive discord with his ex wife, and currently arguments with his current wife can be heard by all the neighboring Asian folks who simply want to mind their own business, but can't. Luckily he's respected enough in the area to be tolerated in these instances. We can say that he's a pretty solitary man, and doesn't stand having his personal bubble being invaded too much, at all. This stems endless conflict in a couple that searches for harmony together.

In general, it can be said that Daniel is a rather generous man that never intruded in other people's lives. His sense of justice and understanding has led him to act for the benefit of those who have long since wasted their second chance in the eyes of society, especially with youths. But ever since his departure from his job, he's been a lot more apathetic toward all the killings going on and the the deterioration of the city he's lived in for most of his life.

Hobbies/Interests:

A piano learner, even if he's quite old now, he wants to catch up on some lost time. He has been learning for about a year now, but he's not that good. Having sex with his recent wife is of great interest to him, despite all the disputes they may have before the deed is actually done.
On a daily basis he goes out for walks and uses it as an excuse to watch over the neighborhood for strange activity. The ex enforcer in him simply can't resist looking over the growing criminal activity in the area.

Skills/Talents:

He currently works as a private investigator, making him a skilled information gatherer. He was once of NEST, so intensive physical training entailed, notably in hand to hand combat and marksmanship. Although he remained average on those, he was once a national champion in kick boxing, giving him an edge in this type of fighting style.

He's also a really good swimmer, though he didn't win any trophies there his parents always told him that he was in his element when swimming. Daniel honed his IT skills during his time off, as a hobby at first, but now as a job. He doesn't actively hack, but has ways to bypass certain obstacles and get certain things done.

He speaks: English, French, German and Spanish fluently. Intermid in Russian.

History/Bio:

Born in New York city, Daniel was given American nationality like his siblings thanks to these circumstances, while his parents were Belgian. They did eventually get nationality as well, but if we speak of upbringing, Daniel's was majorly focused around American culture. Up until the age of 11, he lived in the same state with a couple of changes for his father's work but in general if went off pretty well. But afterward, his father had a unique job offer as supervisor in an Airbus firm in Belgium which he couldn't refuse. And thus, the young Skornieski's were forced to abandon their previous acquaintances in order to move to their homeland and start anew.

Life was decent, there were not troubles and Daniel was considered a bright student in his class, often ended up top or near the top of his medium sized classes. There were a lot of great expectations from his father and his entourage, especially when business became so good with the rise of Meta-human presence. Opportunity rose and Verthaven, The Green Haven as his father would call it, was just the place to go. After all, they had a vacation house in the coast and they'd go to Verthaven ever summer despite the increasing dangers lurking there. No accidents happened when they went as a family as it was in a relatively safe zone, but it would be at the age of 18 that Daniel would contradict all hopes put upon him.

The manifestation of his Meta-human powers came forth near his 18th birthday and started off as a small spark of heat emanating from his right hand. Eventually he'd manage to heat his arm as if he had known how to do it since birth, but it was still something he could barely understand and didn't actually see what he would use it for other than delivering Pimp Slaps. It would be when he'd touch his lamp that he'd figure out a bit more as to what he was dealing it. As expected, it exploded, but in a controlled fashion. The pressure release was weaker to his direction and left holes on the opposing wall. Of course, he freaked out, but he'd later dismiss it out of fear of his parents knowing.

Swallowing his pride, he confronted his father about taking on business internships he had Guan xi'd the hell out of, exposing his desire to become police officer as his mother was before birthing her children. His sense of achieving justice and helping those in need overwhelmed his naive mind and made him act against what would be common sense nowadays. His father didn't take it too well, and after a quick argument, the party table fell victim to the same fate as the lamp. No one was hurt due to it being a little more intentional than the first burst, but Jon did take a hit. This caused the schism between father and son and motivated Daniel to indeed move to Verthaven, not to conduct business, but to possibly make a difference. The problem was, he was a meta-human, and he was redirected to the NEST.

His experience there was what one would expect, he'd follow harsh training while being educated on the properties of his ability. From what they could understood, he functioned like nuclear reactor simulating a dying sun's symptoms. He emanated a large amount of radiation that could be channeled in two various ways and eventually combined for a concentrated attack. But the origin of such destructive power remained somewhat mysterious as his body alone would likely breakdown from producing such strong energy. The Cosmic subclass of elementals was the best lead to go from, and it did pay off as his power would eventually be traced to a nearby Neutron Star releasing a specific radiation only visible by Daniel's presence but otherwise impossible to detect through current technology.

(I will not detail NEST stuff since he wasn't that important and I'm not too informed about it). At the age of 35, he finally stopped working after hearing of his brother's passing. Peter, Daniel's brother, was killed in a shootout. Like Daniel, he was working for the law but he didn't end up with lucky genes to give him an edge in combat. Actually, only his sister reported that she had strange visions of people but couldn't make anything out of them. This eventually demotivated him from working in such a risky profession and led to the eventual divorce between him and his wife. He needed to start anew.

After a year, he opened his own Private Investigation office for people needing information about other people. He wouldn't hesitate to use techniques he learned while working for NEST to get the job done. He ended up re-marrying too, quite happily this time. His desire to keep the population safe did get the better of him at time. He'd motivate himself to do regular neighborhood watches in a pretty hostile street, but it didn't scare him. This got him close to his neighbors, the Ikaido. One of the rare Japanese families he'd come across in these parts.

Betty Skornieski - Current Wife - A beautiful 30 year old woman who said yes to him after three months of dating. They currently get along pretty well despite all the arguing. She's the center of his world right now, at least in small talk she is.
Elise Dumontel - Ex wife - Daniel's bitter ex wife who does what typical ex's do: Hate. Well, at least she isn't talking him, but she's vicious when they cross paths.
Jon Skornieski - Father - A bumpy relationship exists between the two men since Daniel's majority. Many disagreements have led to little communication between the two. He currently lives in Belgium.
Selma Skornieski - Mother - A mother who never gave up on her son even after hardships occurred. Despite wrong choices, she's always supported him. She lives with her husband.
Peter Skornieski - Older Brother (deceased) - A tragic shootout opposing Daniel's older brother and a couple of delinquents led to his death two years ago.
Helen Patel - Younger Sister - Currently married, he keeps contact with her brother quite frequently to share their thoughts about their lives since the death of their brother. They keep each other company during hard times as well.
Solf Patel - Brother in Law - Helen's husband, a rich Indian man who doesn't have any qualms with Daniel. They rarely speak to each other.

Power:

Atomic infusion: The major factor that serves as influence for this ability is the characteristics of a dying sun, a supernova. Of course the scale of which this ability manifests itself is nowhere near a supernova's. Like many under the cosmic class, Daniel holds a strange and empowering connection to an already dead star: The Neutron Star RX J1856.5-3754, the closest one to earth. The ability manifests itself in three different ways:

• Massive Fusion: Manifested through his right hand, Daniel is capable of channeling nuclear energy through his right arm and cause it to heat up (incinerating his sleeve in the process). The hit itself can leave 2nd and 3rd degree burns to alien flesh, however the power relies on infusing the unstable energy into matter. The infected matter will be coated in a bright white aura before exploding. Essentially, when his hand touches turns into a bomb. The strength and spreading of the energy depends on how much he power he spends on it, and will always leave flames in the area. However there are no signs of nuclear poisoning. His arm can take a few heat ups before suffering from burns as well.
  Simplified: He turns stuff into bombs, can't be that big but can go up to exploding under someone's feet if they're ten meters away. Repercussions vary by that factor.
• EMP strike: His left hand uses the accumulated power to release a strong electromagnetic field in order to disable all electric based appliances and tools in the area. Daniel must charge in energy for about a minute before releasing the field at about 150 meters in radius (about 500 feet).
• Supernova: Using both aforementioned abilities, Daniel is capable of stabilizing a certain amount of his fusion energy into a soft ball sized sphere, bounding it inside a concentrated electric sphere so it would maintain its shape. These spheres gravitate around him like planets until he decide to hurl them in one direction at the speed of a fast ball being thrown by a decent pitcher. If they get into contact with large enough matter (minimum size would be something the size of a fist), it will instantly fuse with it and turn into a strong explosive, ready to explode. Depending of the density as to what it fuses with, the devastation may vary (more lethal with higher density such as rock, weaker effects on clothes but strong amount of heat and flames produced.)

Limits:

Massive Fusion, after about 4 uses, will start to burn Daniel's hand and arm with first degree burns and muscle pain, but that can be reduced to 2 if he goes for longer ranges or stronger blasts. The EMP usage can only be used once every 3 hours and requires charge time (mentioned earlier). Supernova can be generated up to 6 times before he hits the typical Meta-human limits, going overboard could cause pre-Ashing symptoms that greatly reduce his performances, but would not be permanent. Going over 10 however will be his lethal limit.

Weaknesses/Drawbacks:

Using strong material as shield is key for any of the explosions he creates, though the great push backs are usually inevitable. Wearing clothes is quite efficient to survive the sure death strike of a Supernova as they not only suck in the energy instead of the flesh, but will leave burns instead of a massive hole. Using random materials scattered around is a good way to neutralize the supernovas before they even get in range.

Other:

He has a much stronger resistance to radioactive substances than average humans, but he isn't immune to radioactive poisoning. It will rarely be lethal to him, but can still gravely affect his performances if exposed for too long.

Second, for his ethnicity section, you probably could have just said he was Jamaican/Thai/Whatever, and left the rest of the information for his history/other section. Third, I imagine that there'd be some serious repercussions for the whole incident where he injured another trainee (Like, that'd be something you'd get arrested for...). Finally, the power, I'd like a bit more detail as to what he can do (Since you can do a fuckton with magnetism), and you need to give him real weaknesses. What you listed aren't going to cut it because they apply to everyone.

Thanks for the feedback, I've made some changes: actually learning how to indent for one, altering his history so that he almost injured another trainee instead of actually injured one, added to a weakness to mind control/telepathic attacks. Part of the reason my description of what he could do with his magnetism was so vague was because the character has little to no idea what he can do with it. I didn't want to list a bunch of things you could theoretically do with magnetism that I didn't intend to ever have him use. I've made some slight changes though.

I'll answer to both of you on the explosion issue. So the problem is that it is capable of OHKO somebody by touch. The speed a fast ball seems a bit strange as an issue since, if I recall correctly, grenade launchers are as fast. I can slow it down, I don't mind.

As for its destruction potential. Yes, like most powers, a direct attack is often a OHKO. Although I suppose the lack of substantial counter is bothering you. I can make it easier to dodge by lowering its speed. I can also add that anything in their way will cause them to fuse, even with things like flames or any strange element. Perhaps I could have them explode five seconds after fusing, having the target flash to indicate it's about to explode or something, leaving time to purge whatever you may be wearing. It should be enough to 1) Not get hurt and 2) Figure out the power to be never hit again by IC logic. But if it hits flesh, it should leave substantial damage, I mean you got hit by the guy's best attack.

I can also lower is limit to like 4 and hit desperate limit to 6. I'm really okay with this.

For more blunt damage, it could withstand getting hit by the punch of someone with moderate levels of super strength or having some throw a car at him. Both events would definitely cause him quite a bit of pain as well and would probably cause moderate to severe cracking, depending on how focused the area of effect is.

Erm shoot him? (with non-lethal bullets of course, it's batman) Though I think you mean counter. Well, anything? Anything in its way will cause it to detonate prematurely and hurt no one. I can slow it down and all you'd have to do is shoot them and the tiny little bullet explodes like a firecracker lol. The speed of uh, a running dog? Those are pretty easy to shoot. Batman throws a bat boomerang.

I can also just make them act like normal, non-fusing bombs if this is still too complicated.
