"The important thing is not how long you live, but what you accomplish with your life. While I live, I want to shine. I want to prove that my existence matters... and do something really important that will carry on into the future.
Name: Acacia Willow
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Height/Weight: 5'6, 123lbs
Personality: Acacia is confident and outgoing, quite fun to be around if one has a sense of humor. Acacia has never been afraid to speak her mind for fear of hurting someone’s feelings and she isn’t above tossing a snarky remark or two when/if the situation calls for it. The majority of her repertoire consists of sarcastic comments or jokes accompanied by a sardonic smirk or raising of an eyebrow. She has been called cold more than a few times, but only because has extremely selective empathy, being that she cannot bring herself to understand the ridiculous reasons which cause a great deal of upset and alarm to most people. Crying at the drop of a hat is simply annoying and a waste of the human body’s functions in her opinion. Tear glands exist for the purpose of keeping one’s eyes moist to prevent them drying out, not to stream torrents of water down one’s face because of silly things. As a firm believer of independence, she absolutely loathes damsels in distress. She’s quite determined and headstrong when it comes to accomplishing tasks. Despite all appearances, Acacia is not always as carefree as she seems, and has a completely different side when it comes to people who abuse Pokemon for their own gain.

Age:16
Gender: Male (kind of looks like a girl in some ways)
Height/Weight: 5’8, 116lb
Personality: Ryi is a bold one, he is out there, proud, strong and c0nfident in himself. A bit to confident in some occasions but he has a good heart. Even though he is confident he is humble, he lets people take there time and help them as well; he is also very family oriented as he has a little sister and a twin brother as well. A bit flirty with the guys though but it only shows the can trust them if he flirts with them.
Living in a farm he grown to…wrestle with pokemon time to time, he has that thrill to run up to a pokemon and end up wrangling it just for fun. He does end up hurt but it’s all-just for fun and have a good laugh. He listens to his heart and he believes that whatever he feels he must go with it.
At first you might think he is a sweet kind and kind of a dainty guy but never get on his bad side, he can really hurt you, he can kick hard as a Hitmonlee if you mess with him. Then let the cute and innocent face fool you. He was insecure before because people made fun of him for his looks but he had a friend that made him believe that he can do whatever he want and be proud of it.
History: He came from the Johto region; his family was a bunch of Miltank farmers and lived a peaceful live. He had a twin brother names Seth, he was the shy one and Ryiler was always the one heading out and having fun. They were two peas in a pod though opposites it seemed like it was impossible to see them separated. They were really close and nothing could tear them apart.
His dad though moved to the Kalos region for a new business dream when they were 12 while his mom was pregnant with their little sister named Alice. Things were good…until their left for no reason and his mom had to work for the both of them. Seth his twin distance himself form him and even started to make dun of him with other kids. He grew really lonely and sad until meeting a girl names Remma (Black hair girl) Once he met her he was dedicated to her…she saved him from loneliness and he felt like he had a friends again. They were best friends, Remma was a blind girl living in hard times yet somehow she smiled and help him through his hard times. He made him belive he could do anything and he could reach for the stars.
Remma left though, after an incident with her brother Remma left saying she needed to find herself with her Ninetales and Bulbasaur but she would see him again, they promised to meet once he start his own adventures and explore Kalos. With a pinky promise he watch Remma leave, he kept his promise until he was ready to leave. His mom was worried for his sake because his brother left without saying a word. Dream/Goal: To be a famous pokemon musician with his future team, he loves music and wants to spread the world his love for it with his pokemon friends. To meet up with his best friend again and fins his twin brother.
Personality: Kasha is a sweet, kind-hearted individual who constantly sees the best in others despite their flaws, but after a few times of being proven wrong with a great handful of different bullies she has come across over the years, she knows now that not everyone can be as fair and trusting as she can be. Despite this, however, Kasha still listens to her heart, being led by her love and devotion no matter how bleak a situation might look. She is the greatest friend you will ever have, and the worst enemy you will ever make because once you have proven to Kasha that you can not be trusted, she will not got back on her decision to do what is right by her and bring about the right way of justice. The road to mending trust is a very long and painful one very few have ever traveled. She has a very strong-will, looked up to by her small group of friends but when she is just able to relax and be Kasha, the social butterfly comes out in her as well as her spunky, cute personality.
History: Kasha was born into a family of Eevee breeders and trainers of whom have been in the business for generations. It is not very likely that one who lives in Kanto or it's neighboring reigions has not heard the last name "Booths" in regards to the simply supreme Eevee that come from their farm. However, Kasha wasn't as interested in the family business as her parents and brother were. Granted, her mother took to researching about the Eevee rather than breeding and training them - mainly about their evolution stones, but Kasha even grew bored with that.
Kasha knew she wanted to do something great and adventurous, but at the time, she was such a shy little thing she was too afraid of asking her parents if she could undergo a Pokemon journey like the rest of the kids her age were doing. So Kasha remained on the farm for a few more years until finally, she mustered up the courage and had a serious talk with her parents.
They were disappointed, naturally, but after a few weeks or so and even after a gift of letting her choose her very own Eevee in hopes that she would stay, they finally gave in and let Kasha go out on her journey. She already had Eevee as a Pokemon, but the shiny runt of the litter was much more a friend than a battler, but Kasha had very little interest in battling other Pokemon right away and instead spent an entire year working at the Pokemon Center in Vermilion City so she could save up enough money to travel to a new region - one that she wasn't familiar with so she could expand upon her learning.
She was a late bloomer, unable to truly begin her journey until her sixteenth birthday when she had saved up enough money. Kasha knew, though, that to learn all that there was about Pokemon, she couldn't stay in Kanto and had to branch out.
Now, having been gone from home for only a year with very little Pokemon battling experience under her belt, Kasha can't wait to see what her next adventure brings in Kalos and hopefully, her first starter Pokemon.
Dream/Goal: Kasha, ever the aspirer, just wants to see the world and experience all it has to offer; to see (not necessarily catch) every Pokemon from every region and study the more interesting ones that not a lot is known about - maybe even discover a new Pokemon along the way. Kasha wants to make an abundance of friends with similar interests and find out just what she wants to do with her life.
Preferred Starter:
Eevee - Male - lvl 6 Type: Normal Ability: Anticipation - Alerts the Pokemon of certain dangerous moves. Nature: Adamant Moves: Growl, Tackle, Tail Whip, Sand Attack

"To take the freedom that Pokemon training gives for granted... is unforgivable." Name: Sheena North
Age: 15
Gender: Female.
Height/Weight: 5'0". 116 pounds.
Personality: Despite being only fifteen, Sheena has a very realistic world view, seeing the world as corrupted yet unique at the same time. An intelligent sort, she's a lot more practical than she is social, as she comes off as rather cold and pretentious when she has to get to know others. Due to this, she actually gets along better with adults than with people her age, which she has acknowledged that she wants to change that; she just doesn't know how.
Deeper in her personality lies a soul yearning for freedom and yearning to find herself. To become more than just another cog in the machine. Another facet that she chases after in life is justice, causing her to have a really black and white view of the world; those who she sees as good are good, and those who she sees as evil are evil. She seems to not realize that there are those with gray morality in the world.
Despite her maturity and intelligence, she also can get flustered really easily, showing an easily embarrassed and slightly introverted side to her. She also has a certain like for things such as Pokestar Studios in Unova and Kalos's own PokeVision/Trainer PR Videos.
History: As long as Sheena can remember, it's been her and her grandparents. Her parents are always busy, as they are established Pokemon Trainers in other regions; one being a researcher in Unova and the other being a Coordinator in Hoenn. As such, Sheena has never had a big interest in family.
Her grandparents overly sheltered her due to this, and almost didn't want her to become a Pokemon Trainer. So for a while, she had to look into watching Pokemon oriented stuff. When she learned of the International Police, however, she quickly became enamored with the idea of becoming one, especially looking up to Looker.
Going against her grandfather's wishes, Sheena's grandmother saw the girl's interest in becoming a Trainer and as such, gave her the okay to start her own journey.
Dream/Goal: To become a member of the International Police, just like her idol, Looker.
Preferred Starter: Froakie.
Other: N/A for now. Unlike most of the others, since she was just told she could become a Pokemon Trainer, she currently has no Pokemon whatsoever.
Name: Diego Age: 17 Gender: Male Height/Weight: 6'2" 170 lbs Personality:
One of the first things people notice about him is his confidence, call it arrogance or cockiness because that's what it is. As far as he is concerned, he can do anything because he knows he has the brains and the discipline to see it through. This world is his for the taking, but he's willing to share with those who fight as hard as he does. Overall he is friendly though. He believes that above all things, you need to respect yourself for who you are. It irritates him to no end to deal with people who can't do that. Rainer has a simple sense of humor, in that it doesn't take much to make him laugh. Stupid jokes, dirty jokes, toilet humor, clever wordplay, corny wordplay all do it for him. He just loves to laugh. He's also a flirt. He definitely enjoys he female form and has no shame in letting a girl know he's interested. He's become a good bluffer and can pull off some pretty big lies without a hint of doubt. That's not to say he's a good liar overall. When it comes to personal matters, guilt can easily get the best of him.
History:
Diego was born in the Johto region, growing up just outside of Goldenrod City. His mother had a job in the the city, while his father, an outdoorsman who would never dream of living in the big city, worked at the National Park. As such he had a comfortable normal life. Not lacking in anything, but not having any excess either.
Diego found himself at home in both places, and quickly grew to love exploring both and getting to know the Pokemon. Spending so much time at the Park, he naturally developed an affinity for bug-types, eventually going so far as to catch a few. He even managed to catch a Scyther during one of the park's contests. (Unfortunately he came in second place to a Weedle... he suspects they couldn't let him win due to his dad working at the park).
Eventually he set his eyes on the Pokeathlon Dome. It became a thrill to him to work alongside his Pokemon to train them in their physical abilities. It was this that led to him searching out different varieties of Pokemon, to test their strengths and weaknesses in the Dome. He grew to be a rather successful athlete in a few years, making it to the Supreme Cup and competing against the best trainers and even some Gym Leaders at 15. His Scyther even managed to master all five Pokeathlon stats, and eventually earned enough points to trade for a Metal Coat an evolve.
Unfortunately, Diego's run came to an end when his mother was transferred to Lumiose City. He left most of his Pokemon behind with a friend, as he didn't have the heart to separate them from their passion. However he brought along his Aipom, which never really liked competing anyway. With the move, Diego's father had to find a new job, now working as a guide at Parfum Palace. Diego doesn't see his parents as much, as his father's gone days at a time and his mother's always busy. Still, he had no issue settling into his new life in the big city. He's enjoying the lights, the noise, the sheer amount of things to do. Even Goldenrod wasn't this busy. The girls in Kalos are something else too. However, he misses the Pokemon in the wild and training and competing. Once he feels his family's all settled in, he plans to take off on a journey to gather the gym badges. If he can't train Pokemon to compete athletically, he'll just have to train for battle.
Dream/Goal: To grow and bring out the very best of himself and his Pokemon. He's not set on his eventual goals, but no matter what he's doing, he's going to give it all he's got.
Name: Cerise Dahmani Age: 17 Gender: Female Height/Weight: 4'9"/80 lbs Personality: At first glance, Cerise is someone who's easy to like – she's bubbly, clever, charismatic, and can get along with just about anyone. But though she knows how to play the part of the polite little ingenue, Cerise is a very selfish person who will look out for herself first, and has no sense of responsibility. She's comfortable in her own skin, but often to the point where she brushes off any criticisms, no matter how valid they may be. It's not that Cerise is ever actively malicious – she's just stuck in her own little world.
History: Cerise was born in Kiloude City to a retired pokemon trainer and a business man. Her childhood was pleasant enough – her parents didn't have much time for her, so she entertained herself by bugging the various trainers who visited her little corner of the world. She wasn't much interested in the pokemon themselves – no, what caught her eyes were the foreign berries they carried. She managed to needle the different trainers until they gave her some, and she was quick to plant them at home, starting up her own little garden. When Cerise was ten years old, her parents separated and her father moved up north to Lumios City. Life continued on for a while longer, until her mother met another man just under a year ago. Cerise likes him well enough, but he and his two young sons moved into their house and she's been feeling a bit claustrophobic ever since. Growing steadily more desperate for some excuse to escape, she finally settled on going on a pokemon journey (going to live with her dad was an option… except it absolutely wasn't). She wasn't a battler by any means, and pokemon didn't quite interest her, but she could explore the region and the various flora scattered about it.
Dream/Goal: To be the berry best (botanist). Like no one ever was. Preferred Starter: Gothita
Name: Carl Rathean Age: 17 Gender: Male Height/Weight: 5'8, 129lbs Personality: Adventurous, fun, enthusiastic? All of he above! Carl is on the wild side, always a thrill seekers, who needs constant adventure, to keep him happy. No matter where it is, a dark cave, the tallest mountain, the sea. Carl will love it. He's fun, and a little quirky.
Aside from all his fun attributes, Carl is also very sympathetic. When a friend is sad he is sad, when they're happy he's happy, when they're tired he's tired, well scratch that, he's never tired. He's very kind, and a friend to the core. History: Born into a poor family, Carl did not have a normal childhood. He was homeschooled, and had little to no friends. His parents say that that's why he's different. Because of being different he was bullied, beaten, thrown into a trash can, until, when he was 13, his dad got a job offer.
Everything changed then. They were moving to the Kalos Region, so his dad could work there as a scientist on Mega Evolution. When his dad became famous for finding a new Mega Stone, so did him and his family. TV, news, books, interviews on his family it was to... Controlled. He wished for a life with, adventure, and friends, actual friends, not the ones his parents payed for to be with him, and... Pokemon! All he wanted was a Pokemon. A friend that he could go on adventures with. But which one?! Empoleon! His dad discovered a Mega Stone, for emploleon.
One day, when both of his parents were home from interviews, he asked them for a Piplup. Since his parents where rich now, they could afford it and agreed to let him have on for his 15th birthday. Dream/Goal: he does not have one, he just wishes to be unlike others. Preferred Starter: Already has Piplup, but if allowed would like Gible. Other: Enjoys Water, Ice, and Dragon types
"We are just running around blind until we find a goal and when we do, is when we have purpose"
Name: Albert Wicker Age: 16 Gender: Male Height/Weight: 5'9 143 lbs
Personality: The first notable thing one would notice about Albert is that he's loud, very loud and yet he is also intelligent. Intelligence does not always mean the person in question is wise however and Albert is not exactly known for being safe, hes very reckless in his actions a trait he inherits from his mother. This recklessness leads to some problems such as Albert's body usually being covered in bruises and dirt and yet he also shares his fathers inquisitive nature, meaning that if he takes interest in something he will attempt to learn it, regardless of how useful or useless it is.
History: Born into a family of science and fighting, one really wouldn't know what path the young child Albert would take, would he go down his fathers route of scientific research into Pokemon. Better yet would he follow down his mothers path of beating everyone who dared challenge the family name. Albert really couldn't decide which path to follow or if he even wanted to do those things at all, Lumiose is a big city after all.
Then came a fateful day where Albert met Deino. Albert's Father acquired Deino as a gift from his place of work due to his 20 years of faithful working there, now Albert's Father couldn't really handle Deino's obsession with tackling and biting everything, and the young Deino wasn't really a exceptional fighter and lacked the obsession of victory that most of Albert's Mother's Pokemon had as such she too didn't want the young dragon because it was a klutz. This left the parents with two options, put it up for adoption or give it to their son, Albert.
Then the fliers went out.
Dream/Goal: His goal is to do two things, firstly he wants to learn more about Pokemon and perhaps discover a previously unknown trait about them, he also just wants to travel the region and then the world in a quest of knowledge. Preferred Starter: Spheal *acquired*

Also, if sombody asks about her family or past, she will instantly withdraw from the conversation. History: Born in the Hoen Region, Shay lived a peaceful life on an island north of Mossdeep City.
When she turned 8, her and her family moved to Kalos. She instantly made new friends in Kalos, but never looked back at Hoen except when she was on vacation there. She always said "This is now, and I need to focus on it or I might get lost."
When she was 14 her mother gave her an egg as her birthday present. Battle Theme
Regular Theme
(shiny) Honedge
Level: 9 Moves: Tackle, Swords Dance, Fury Cutter and Metal Sound
Froakie
Level: 9 Moves: Pound, Growl, Bubble and Quick Attack
Personality: One can easily know Placide for years and yet have no idea how to describe her. This is due to two different reasons. The first of which being that Placide isn't one to speak without first being spoken to, and her awkward and quirky nature often makes these first (and oftentimes last) conversations brief due to the other party being unsure of how to respond. The second of which, the reason why she herself finds it difficult to describe herself, is that the few who do stick around will soon come to learn that Placide lives in extremes. For her, there is no middle ground. Can you describe Placide as brave? Yes, immensely so. Can you describe Placide as cowardly? Again, yes, incredibly so. Yet to describe her as something in-between would be incredibly inaccurate. Her emotions and traits are a constantly occupied teeter-totter, tipping from one end to another in what might seem like a consistent rate until one person invariably leaves, leaving it still for a while, before someone inevitably comes back to form a pair, thus continuing the cycle. It's impossible to tell when someone will leave or join, or how fast it'll tip from one side to another, leaving others -including herself- quite confused as to how to feel about herself.
There are, however, some defined and consistent traits. For one thing, Placide has never been one to draw much attention to herself, being one to prefer working backstage rather than be in the spotlight. This meekness should not be mistaken for a lack of confidence, for she possesses an easy sense of self-assurance and is a firm believer than everything will ultimately work out for the best in the grand scheme of things, regardless of whether one likes the outcome or not. This makes her quite the optimist, perhaps naively so at times, and with this optimism comes her carefree, cheerful, and fun-poking nature, a lover of jokes. Another is that she's quite the protector of the underdog, probably due to having been one herself in the past. Sweet and caring by nature, she's always willing to lend out a helping hand to those who need it, and sympathizes and empathizes quite easily with others. Patience is something she prides herself in, though she also knows that nothing comes easy without getting up and going for it, and with her endless perseverance she's not willing to give up on something once she's set her mind on. However, what she prides herself most in is her acceptance towards others, beliving in second (and third, and fourth) chances, and that everyone should be given a chance to change, as she believes everyone is capable of such. Though not the most adventurous sort, she's always ready to try something new as she is fueled by curiosity and the urge to learn and understand more.
There isn't just good news to her, however. Said sympathy and empathy can lead to her being quite uncertain with her judgement, as she tends to see good and reason in things and people she really ought to not. Her kindness can lead to naivety at times. Pathos can sway her very easily. Loyal to a foolishl extreme, and quick to cross the line between perseverance and stubbornness. She can be incredibly rude (though she rarely intends to be) and sometimes inappropriately blithe, needing a harsh dose of reality to bring her to common sense. Her booksmarts seriously outweigh her nearly non-existent street smarts. Honesty on her end is brutal. She has an awful habit of following her instincts over what's logical. Despite her optimistic nature, she can be a little wary of people due to her past experiences. Some of her jokes simply go too far. Being a curious cat, she'll probably get herself killed. And, of course, there's just her absolute awkwardness around people and her general strange and erratic nature.
Nonetheless, despite this all, the one thing that can be said for certain is that regardless of how you view her, you'll keep on guessing as long as you're in her company.
History:
Having grown up on a family-run berry farm in a rural area close to Coumarine City, Placide was the second child to the old fashioned and superstitious Dubois family, the first being her older sister and role model, Léonide, the third being Jocelyn, and the third being Jocelyn, her coddled and much younger brother. Due to her sister's equally eccentric nature and her mostly isolated childhood, it was only natural that she'd end up a bit strange herself, as well as become a bit socially awkward and naive in the process. School would have been a place she loved (the sheer amount of things she didn't know of blew her mind so to speak and left her hungry to learn as much as she could) if not for the few children she did interact with often picking on her for a few years of life, which she mostly kept to herself, until the effects of said bullying began to show in her demeanour, and her family began questioning what was wrong. It was her older sister, who eventually found out about it and stuck up for her, slowly helping to restore her confidence and trust in others. The bullying did eventually cease, but no one really did give her a chance, ignoring her. And, by extension, she learned to cope with being ignored, eventually learning to ignore others unless approached. Perhaps because of her own rough treatment, she soon began to view the bugs she once thought of as pests as something more than that, and began to learn to build traps for them in order to be carried off to other locations rather than have her parents' Talonflame deal with them.
When Léonide decided to become a Pokémon Coordinator in Hoenn, Placide stayed behind to help on the farm, letting her sister chase her dreams in her place. With her gone, she learned to work twice as hard on the farm, and with her gone, waiting for the day in which her younger brother would be old enough to take her place on the farm and let her chase her dream of becoming a Pokémon researcher.
Four months before she would set off on her own journey, Léonide returned from her own journey, unsuccessful in the Grande Festival but eager to give it another shot. Learning that her younger sister would soon be a trainer herself, she decided to show her some of the ropes in advance, and, during a demonstration battle, something happened. Her newly caught Nincada split off into two beings.
Being more supersticious than her younger sister, Léonide wanted nothing to do with the Shedinja, and reluctantly let her keep it under her wing rather than release it, only giving in after her insistent pleading was becoming far too much of an annoyance. Shocked by how her own rolemodel could so easily deny the chance to this Pokémon simply because of the mythos behind it changed her dream and how she viewed Pokémon. She now sought to learn and understand the feared and unloved Pokémon, wanting to give them the second chance that she herself had never been given by her peers, and show the world a sweeter side to them. Though both they and she were hard to understand, she wanted to show the world that it wasn't impossible to.
Dream/Goal: To better understand and change the perspective of others on Pokémon generally viewed as scary, gross, or dangerous, particularly ghost, bug, and dark types.
Preferred Starter:

Agne~ Genderless (referred to as a 'he' by Placide) ~ Level 20 ~ Lonely~ Highly Curious
Kept under her care after being threatened to release it into the wild, Ange is the empty shell left behind her much more superstitious sister's Nincada. He has no battle experience and Placide herself does not at all like the idea of sending him out into battle, due to his fragility and disobediance, as he is far too high leveled for a trainer of her current skill level, and thus acts more of a travel companion than anything. Like all Shedinja, he never moves and never speaks, which can be quite unnerving to others due to his natural curiousity and downright boldness, approaching both people and Pokémon without respecting a little something called 'personal space'. Having been abandoned the moment he was formed and feeling disconnected to most other beings due to some obvious communication issues, Agne is pretty lonely in nature and clings desperately to whoever dares give it a chance. Despite this, Agne hasn't given up on his sense of dignity, (or rather, he had it restored by Placide), and thus one must earn his respect. His pride often breaches into overconfidence, which gets him into quite a bit of trouble. For reasons unknown, he seems to harbour hatred towards being kept in a Pokéball, and is thus almost always found perched on Placide's head.

Name: Korrigan, but goes by Korrey in informal situations
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height/Weight: 6 ft/ 176 lbs
Personality: Korrey fits the stereotypical facets of a priest almost to a T. He's very patient, wise, a good listener, and a very loving person who tries to find the good in everyone he meets. However, he also has a bit of a stubborn side, and doesn't take well to those who would mock his beliefs. He's also a bit of a sensitive soul, tending to take things more seriously and morr personally than was intended. But above all else, Korrey has a very deep love and appreciatiin for nature, both it's beautiful romanticism and ugly realities. To him, it's all apart of the grand cycle of Life and Death.
History: Korrey was raised by the Church of Yveltal from childhood, located in the more mountainous region of Kalos. He never knew his parebts, for he was dropped off in the middle of the night, but he never really cared. The priest were all the family he ever needed, teachung him how to read, write, and best of all, introducing him to pokemon. As worshippers of Yveltal, the brothers kept around mostly Dark and Flying type pokemon, to be more intune with their god. To Korrigan, they taught the teaching of Yveltal, in which it states that all that has been created must be destroyed or die one day, so it may be reborn again in the grand cycle. Death was a constantpart of life for him growing up, but it was never done in a solem manner. To them, Death is not something to be avoid and grieve over, but a natural part of life that is to be celebrated, for they are truly off to a better place.
It was during one of these funeral parties that a woman arrived, with a message from a man that claimed to be his father. It was a letter of challenge, telling him that if he wanted to meet the man, he'd have to take the Gym challenge of Kalos. The chance of finding his parents was not nearly as important to Korrigan as the opprotunity it gave him. Sympathetic to what they believed to be his want for family, the brothers of Yveltal sent the young man off to begin his own adventure, and they pray for his safe return.
Dream:Korrigan has no real dreams or goals at the moment, since the onky one he had was going on an adventure

"Don't underestimate Dark-type pokemon. The moment you do, my team will have already won."
Name: Joshua Tamashii
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Height/Weight: 5'6"/125 lbs.
Personality: A bit of a loner, Joshua often has a habit of speaking with no restraint, saying what is on his mind with no hesitation. Due to this, he is often taken as rude and unlikable by those he comes across the first time he meets this. This fact, coupled by his tendency to want to be left alone can make him hard to get to know in the beginning. However, stick around long enough to grow on him and you will find a friend and ally who will stick with you through thick and thin. He supports his friends and does no hesitate to give them advice or to tell them to stop because they are being stupid.
In battle, Joshua is analytical and tries to figure out his opponents strategies and how to counter them. He will not hesitate passing up the chance to battle someone to watch that person battle another trainer, as it's easier to watch them. Joshua will rarely talk during battle other then to issue commands to his pokemon and his poker face is near flawless.
History: Born in Ecruteak Town in the Johto region, Joshua was a well-known trouble maker in town, often getting into fights with the other kids and having o see a doctor on more then one occasion because of fight. His parents were constantly under stress from other parents to get their son to behave before he got hurt or he hurt someone. When nothing they tried worked, his parents turned to the local Gym Leader, Morty.
Seeing as Joshua didn't get along well with the other children, Morty had Joshua help him take care of his pokemon. The young boy seemed happier around the creatures and treated them with respect and, in turn, earning theirs. When he wasn't helping Morty's pokemon Joshua could be found watching Morty battle challengers or studying pokemon. He learned about Dark-type pokemon and their generally bad reputations, like how it was believed Absol brought disasters and Houndoom's howl was mistaken as the devil's, and instantly grew to like the type.
For years, Joshua studied Dark-type pokemon and watched others who used them to figure out how to use them effectively. Morty took note of this but knew Joshua wasn't ready due to his hot-headed nature and the likelihood that he would get to frustrated to complete a journey. So, the Gym Leader worked on helping Joshua learn patience and how to keep his cool under even the most stressful situations. When the boy was finally ready to go on a journey, Morty gave him a present in the form of a ticket for a flight to Lumiose City. After using a day to pack what he needed, Josuha set out on his journey.
