Would it be alright if I made a Gem that was part of a cult-of-sorts that had a slightly significant influence throughout the centuries, following a doctrine that essentially said- always be ready for Drakken invasion because they're assholes?

You know, that way the smaller-numbered, underarmed, undertrained armies of Gem might have a chance against the much larger, better armed, better trained, more magically-inclined Drakkens?

Just how far are you willing to go to defend it? Even if you're little cult can, that doesn't mean the civilians can and Edoric isn't known for moral or honorable behavior. Knowing him, he'll most likely go full sadist on the poor people even if they all surrender. To him, once you're in a war, you're in a total war, everyone is a soldier to die.
