Working on my response @Descartes

Although I am realizing that a normal human can hold something that's up to 100-130 degrees (F) without burning themselves and my character is listed as getting burned at 120 degrees, which was not my intention.

The intention was making his resistance about twice that of a human :T

Thoughts @Skallagrim. Especially considering I said his IRON ARMOR will start melting at 600 degrees (when the melting point for iron is 2800 degrees). Makes me feel awful dumb in retrospect, and disadvantaged because it's not accurate to what I intended lol.

I'll probably just end up changing it after this tournament unless doing otherwise is reasonable.

So you thought we got burned at 60 degrees...farenheit?
It makes perfect sense in celcius, so it's easy to see a mixup there.

What? My computer idles at 60 degrees Celsius.

Metric Tip: Celsius was based off the boiling and freezing point of water, where 0 C is the freezing point and 100 C is the boiling point.

This perfectly illustrates the issue xD

You can't change it now. If you win we will revisit the issue and correct it.

Entirely fair. While I presume you mean if I win the Tourny and not the battle, I'm still gonna ask. Which do you mean?

As a notable point Raelis' own heat tolerance wouldn't increase much as far as mid tier goes. It'd be around 300 degrees Fahrenheit. His armor would only start melting at about 2800 degrees, but would get hot enough on the inside at a much lower amount that it'd roast him inside it. It would mean that his environment and sword could withstand greater amounts of heat though, which would make his damage output go up. So yeah.

Anywho, I'll just keep the stuff in mind and alter it when the opportunity presents itself. Whether that be after my current battle (if I come out on top) or after I win or am disqualified from the tournament because I lose.

Hey, we've got a Masquerade character, awesome. My Ghoul character is based off Ghouls from the Masquerade, though I'm not that far into the lore of it all, just played one game.

Also, there shouldn't be that much concern if your character is human level is some regards, remember T3 is only just above human, and T4 is a few steps removed. Ultimately Yoshua you can still fly, which as many past tournaments have proven is pretty much the best advantage you can have for the low-mid tier fights.

Hmmm. I didn't realize this when I set the matches. Melon number 1 is facing DJ number 2 in the standings.

The thing is currently Raelis' resistance to heat isn't just normal human levels, it's BELOW normal human levels, which was not my intention.

I did not do a sufficient amount of research, or cross-referencing, when deciding his heat tolerance. However, thank you for that note. I don't feel particularly disadvantaged as it only truly becomes a problem if someone else overheats his armor or he has to remove his armor. Both of which are rather unlikely scenarios.

I was joking, I just found it funny that both Descartes and DJ are armed with Katanas and Desert Eagles. Of all the weapons in the world, and any you can think of.

@MelonHead
Shin has an incredibly personal distaste for the Katana weapon, mostly because he was alive during World War 2, and has an incredibly deep seated hatred for the Japanese for what they did to the Chinese. The Katana being the figurehead weapon of Japanese culture, he refuses to use it, out of respect for his homeland. However, that does not stop him from using other Japanese-make tools such as the Kusarigama.

Makes sense, the Rape of Nanking was pretty brutal, and one of the key events was the 'Kill 100 people with a sword' competition.

@MelonHead Fantastic, someone else knows what happened in China during WW2, so I don't have to explain it. Phenomenal show.

China and Japan's interactions from the Manchurian Crisis onwards are the backdrop of the Pacific War, important stuff. I actually argued that from the moment Japan became embroiled in war with China they were almost inevitably going to end up at war with the U.S.

Alright, somehow I knew I'd be facing Impaqt for some strange reason(how did I know that!). I also said he'd be the guy to look out for.

Apparently Impaqt and I have our destinies entwined.

I'll post up in the match thread after posting in the Lobby. Damn guy vanished already. How Rude.

Only two characters have Katana's though no?

I actually don't like katanas myself; I don't particularly like deagles either. Reverse-blade katanas and desert eagle just sounded like a fun combination that I thought the character would use.

Katanas -and- Desert Eagles, literally that exact same combination.

I blame anime, or film.

I can't think of any thing(see character) with that combination. But they are Both the most widely known weapons of their type.
