Standing at 5'6, Akane is around the average height for a woman her age. If one were to describe her in one word, it would be voluptuous; her body is not lithe or lean, but curvy and sexually attractive. Her legs are long and toned due to being put through hard labor and her arms seem strong enough to carry a sword or two. Her long, silky hair is tied up in a taut ponytail most of the time, and so, not many have seen it loose. Akane's eyes appear to be a dull amber color in bright light and pale brown in dim light. Her outfit consists of little cloth and armor due to the fact that she prefers to stay light on her feet rather than being dragged down by her clothing. However, her choice of attire is not so scant as to make her appear ridiculous.

Akane bears several scars ranging in size beneath her garbs. She takes great care as to not let them be seen by the public, as she feels as they are hideous to look at.

Personality:
Akane can be considered a proud individual; she is someone who will most likely never hang in shame or defeat. This may be because she is one of the few swordswomen in Ostaria, especially in Sariwon. She is often the one to strike the first blow and be the last one to retreat from the battlefield. It is difficult to get her to back down from a heated argument or change her opinion about a topic. There are some that dislike her due to her stubborn and fiery personality. She prefers to ignore such people and does not confront them unless they get on her nerves. Despite her pride and stubbornness, Akane greatly dislikes when she does not understand something.

As a flirtatious woman, Akane delights herself by making the most stoic of men fluster and falter in her presence. Some of her targets have sought to pursue something more with her, but she rarely stays interested about one man for longer than a month.

Short Biography:
Akane did not have a cheerful childhood, as all innocent children should have. Her father had wished for a son before she was born, and so he did not treat her well in any way. He was cold-hearted towards her, barely caring if she hurt herself while playing or disappeared for hours within their small home. While her mother disagreed with his choice to be insensitive and uncaring towards the small girl, there was little she could do. Their arguments would be loud and heated and yet her husband would not change his mind about their daughter. To him, she was a disgrace, someone who would always disappoint.

When Akane was ten, her father shoved a makeshift sword in her hands and forced her to spar with him. He would not hold back as they trained, and often, she would return with large bruises and scratches on her body. Her mother was shocked that he would do such a thing; she abhorred the fact that he would hurt their own child, no matter the gender. Yet, she did not dare to confront her husband, who had turned bitter and violent due to his wish gone ungranted. She simply tended to Akane's wounds when she came back home and avoided her father whenever she could.

As the years passed, Akane became more and more familiar with how to handle and use a blade. At the same time, her father became more and more brutal with their training, eventually switching out the makeshift swords for real ones. Her deeper wounds, which were once scarce, became more frequent. It was obvious that her father took out his frustrations on her during their sparring matches, and frankly, she had enough of it. When Akane was seventeen, her father and her underwent a severe confrontation. Their argument became extremely heated, and her mother quickly tried to extinguish the disagreement. In his rage, her father struck her mother, and it was then that Akane became enraged herself. She pulled an ornamental blade from its display piece in the corner of the room and slashed her father's arm open.

Both of her parents were shocked that Akane's anger had reached such a fever pitch. Soon after the argument dissolved and her father's arm was tended to, he quickly disowned her as his daughter and cast her out onto the streets. All she had was the blade that she had harmed her father with and the clothes on her back. She roamed Sariwon in search of work, wondering where fate would take her. Eventually, she became a sellsword, becoming somewhat popular due to the fact she was a female swordswoman. Though, she would not stay in one place for long; she disliked working with the same employer for more than a couple of years, and her adventurous heart would then take her elsewhere.

When she received word about House Tosen and House Aseryo seeking recruits for their cause, Akane set out towards the closest one.

Personality: Like all mages, Illyan is very focused and objective-driven; he seeks to gain more knowledge and make his existence more meaningful, wishing to leave not just one, but multiple legacies in the world. Though, in contrast to this serious and determined nature, he is generally calm and amiable, socializing well with people and known to charm them with his gentle manner. He does not feel the need to act in an instant, knowing that with all of his wishes and wants, comes the time it takes to accomplish his goals.

Illyan dislikes being left disappointed by failure, and even though he has experienced failure often, he takes it more personally than many. Illyan is very objective about opposition to himself, whether it is to his ideals or his allies; in lieu to his training, he knows how to battle, and he is not afraid of blades.

Biography: Illyan was never meant to be born. Conceived to the astute head of House Travard and a mistress in Ludra, it was controversially decided that the bastard child would be kept and raised on equal status as the rest of the royal children. Despite the protest from the court nobles and label as a blemish to their reputation, his father devoted more attention to the 'mistake' compared to his legitimate offspring.

House Travard was well regarded for being among the few families with a surviving magic bloodline; Illyan was the sole inheritor of an innate affinity for the destructive element, Fire, among his other three brothers. This only stimulated a greater interest from his father, who neglected his other bashful children to further explore Illyan's potential talent. Instead of the traditional training his siblings received, he was drilled into the likes of a battle mage, extending the natural boundary of mana in his veins.

With this largely active and physically demanding style compared to stationary casting, Illyan proposed a new method that involved converting and storing magical power into bare gemstones, then activating the spell by projecting mana into the crystal and causing it to shatter and fragment through physical contact wherever necessary, granting portable usage after creation.

Illyan's father viewed the idea as a sedition to magic, stating that it would completely upset the foundation of traditional magic and cause imbalances among the elements. Told to discard the ideal, a fifteen year old Illyan was resolute and determined to come through with his proposal, but with no support from his father, he felt the need to take his efforts elsewhere.

In the dead of night, Illyan took several of the family's gems and claimed a gift from his father that was to be given three years later. With these belongings on horseback, the boy rode off into the darkness. Knowing that his father would look for him, he set his destination for Sariwon.

Weeks of journey passed as Illyan would travel during the day and attempt to make his idea a reality. After arriving in the province ruled by House Tosen and announcing his origins, he was granted asylum and inducted into the House, in exchange for his servitude to the lord as a vassal.

Personality:

A casual yet mysterious man whose voice and lute playing inspires the most exhausted of soldiers to keep fighting to the bone and to inspire the most doubtful of lovers to marriage if commissioned a song of love, and to lift the hearts of the most downtrodden of groups with a ballad of strength. He's a terrible flirt and romantic but ironically unlike his songs he is clumsy with his words when alone with another person and gets flustered by most innocent of touches. He abhors violence and hates carrying weapons and tombs even if he can't use them, and he's intimidated by magic especially dark magic, healing magic being the only magic he can handle being around.

Short Biography:

The Silver Bard was born in an abandon building to a common whore. He was never given a name nor will he ever get one. When he was old enough to sing people were captivated by his songs that even at a young age inspired others and makes others feel the young Bastards hardships. When he was old enough to hold a lute he was taken in by a member of the house of Tosen, where when he gotten older he received the nickname The Silver Bard, due to his odd silver hair for his young age.

He was well loved amongst the house members for his songs and voice. But he will sent out to make more use of his musical influence to inspire those in the fight against the monsters. Also a high ranking house member wanted him out of there due his daughter having her eyes on the Bard.

A snarky and bitter women who while doesn't take joy in bring others pain she's good at inflicting it, often overboard and killing people has inflicted pain to her or others. While she doesn't trust or like others she believe others should be treated not by one ability of powers but by what they did and could do. She believes in justice for all and often point to the vengeance to all who abuse their powers and treat other poorly.

Short Biography:

Mira was born to a couple of shaman who had isolated themselves from the rest of the world who feared them for their magic. Her parents were killed by a group of villagers when she was a teen, Mira kmurdered her parents killer in cold blood and in a painful anf messy manner bringing justice to her parents and others he had hunted down. He had kept a nmap of every grave for every mage the man has killed, she spread every part of the man's reminds to each grave with the words engraved onto the flesh anf bones "Justice is served."

She was found out by a member of The House of Aseryo, and was was hired by the member to be the prison master instead of being inprisoned or hanged now as a prison master Mira would use her Dark Magic to force information out of the house's prisoners and hostages, her most used spell is Boil where when she casts it a small fire in a person stomach causing immense pain for months and only the strongest healing magic can fully heal after only a few uses.

Mira is to be sent to the front lines to kill monsters since her magic is strong and the other reason is her hirer is starting to fear Mira's magic and fears when she will turn on them for the injustices they will soon cast.

Appearance:

At first glance, people mistake Karesh as a pirate with his bandana and garb. This isn't true, as Karesh has never been on a boat and probably never will. He wears two gold earrings; one in each of his ears. He usually wears green, to match his eyes. While his clothes aren't in bad condition, they have seen a lot of wear just because of his profession. Karesh is slightly more tan than his picture implies, because he lives in a desert.

Personality:
Cocky and sarcastic. Karesh was hired because he's good at what he does and he knows it. He is confident in his abilities, but yet he doesn't boast about them a lot in bars. He tends to keep that he's a thief to himself unless he trusts the people he tells completely. Of course, by being secretive, he can move a lot easier in a crowd and avoid being caught. At first glance, most people just assume he's a confident pirate, but he's pretty plain in appearance and polite but not memorable. To friends and enemies he's wily and the most sarcastic person they've ever met. Or they would, if he had any friends or enemies. Karesh plays dumb most of the time, asking things to be explained to him in small words, but he's fairly intelligent on his own. He's made it this far on his own wits and charm.

Short Biography:
Karesh started out the way most people start a career in thievery. He was poor, young, and a little bit stupid. At the ripe age of ten years old he was out on the streets and took some money and survived. He was confronted later by a large band of thieves looking for talent. After time passed people in the group became jealous and set him up on the biggest job and score he could have achieved. Karesh was to steal from The Great House Carnesale and to get out without getting caught. He managed to do most of the job without getting caught, but at the last minute was tipped off. The House was impressed and decided to hire Karesh on to steal from other houses and to scout. Karesh enjoys his current employment.

Alistair is a rather quiet individual, a man of few sarcastic comments and even fewer nice comments. The raven haired man is often seen as 'detached' from his companions and from the actual war against the demons invading Ostaria. His detachment is more or less seen by him as curiosity. A unnaturally curious mind, intelligent and inquisitive drives the mage in to researching all manner of things, including his own companions. While some may see his attention as an emotional interest, it is more likely he is simply curious about how they train or speak.His upbringing has imparted him with a warped sense of what magic is, believing his dark spells to be light magic as it is the most beneficial use of power, the elimination of harm before the necessity of healing is created. He strongly feels that healing only saves those that should have died.

Short Biography:
Alistair was born to well known Light Mages of Ludra. Healers by nature, his parents were shocked when the child they had together was not adept at any of the spells they tried to teach him at a young age. Despite magic being mostly feared, the Light Mages of the Krim family were renowned to be powerful and helpful due to the vast knowledge of the 'white magic'. Yet here was Alistair, born without the blonde hair of the Krim but baring their bright blue eyes had seemingly not inherited the skill of light magic from his Father.

Desperate to find what Alistair could do, the spark of magic obviously strong in the child of the Krim, his parents read back and discovered. Shocked that the light mage mother had a long lineage of Dark magic in her bloodline, they found some tomes of her predecessors. Giving them to the young Alistair, they told him that this was a new type of Light Magic only he could learn. Alistair was a quick study of the tomes and soon became a strong mage in his own right, always curious about the fear his presence sowed in the populous.

Personality:
Patient and kind, Ryoichi is the type of person who most people immediately find charming and sweet. Ryoichi has always believed that peace will prosper and that effort can allow it to happen. Ryoichi can be very persuasive and even sometimes intimidating. He is very good at manipulating people into doing what he wants, but tries to do it as little as possible to keep people from realizing the truth of what he has done. He works hard to keep a gentle ruler image, and it shows.

The downside is that when he gets mad, he gets mad. Ryoichi doesn't stand for lawlessness and lack of regard for life. He can be brutal to those that he deems evil and conniving to get them out of power. Ryoichi, when he has a grudge, will always double check his facts and actions, to ensure that this is the right course of action politically. However, when he cannot be sure of his choice he is insecure and frightened, and obsesses to prove that it had to be done.

Short Biography:
Ryoichi was always going to be the runner up child. His brother, born shortly before him, the twins were decided upon one factor. Their hair color. Ryoichi had been gifted with a platinum white hair color, while his brother Ryouichi was born with black hair. The foreign hair color of Ryoichi caused him to be publicly announced as dead while his brother was named heir. The twins, except for their hair color, were identical and sometimes couldn't be told apart when Ryoichi was older. Tt was decided then and there that Ryoichi was to be the body double for Ryouichi, and so the two brothers, inseparable when in the castle, grew up together on courses on etiquette and everything you would need to learn to be a Lord. Thus Ryoichi would have a slight difference in his name's spelling so he wouldn't give away the ill omen that he was.

The secret of House Aseryo was kept secret through any means necessary. Including disallowing Ryoichi to ever have a window open in his room or whatever room he was in, dying his hair black, and keeping him on the grounds inside the castle. This led to a somewhat lonely childhood, but it was alleviated by the fact that he and Ryouichi we close. The two brothers were inseparable troublemakers, but despite the many reasons that the ten year old Ryoichi might have had a reason to be upset with his parents, he never acted out without Ryouichi by his side.

That all changed when Ryouichi and Ryoichi turned fifteen and Ryouichi was sent out on fighting missions and when he returned, Ryoichi was sent on risky diplomatic missions. Ryoichi secured important allies and played his hand at being a debonair mystery man while his brother was out on the field keeping the dominion safe from its enemies. Things worked smoothly, and they communicated through letters all while each worked to ensure that everything would be fine.

At twenty three, Ryou, as he was called by Ryoichi, was engaged to a wife and was set to all but retire Ryoichi. The plan was to wait a bit longer and then tell the populace the truth about the twins, then allow Ryoichi to live his own life and be at peace. The Tosen ruined that plan. His parents were killed by an accident following a small skirmish between the Tosen and the Aseryo which caused Ryou to ascend to the throne quicker than planned. The terror felt by the alliance promised that any more chaos would ensure the destruction of the House.

Shortly after Ryoichi volunteered to help from the shadows, and pose as his brother when needed, Ryouichi was killed. It was sneak attack by Tosen as he was returning from his appointment as Lord of the House. Ryou never saw it coming, and soon it was Ryoichi who was left to pick up the pieces. He took over his brother's role completely, using a version of the truth, Ryoichi claimed that it was his body double, his twin brother who had died in the attack with Ryoichi's wife. Ryoichi had been sent home early due to concerns about the demon attacks.

This version of the truth worked, and Ryoichi was left with a grave and more power than he'd ever wanted or needed. He vowed to run the House better than their parents and slowly allowed himself to show his true hair color, claiming it as a sign of the Gods that he was meant to rule. Since then he has worked to repair relations with House Tosen to provide a unified front for the war on the demons.

Personality:
Ryuske is very dedicated and determined to his career to maintain peace, sometimes employing illegal and morally dubious tactics (like torture) but ultimately for the good of world. Despite his dark past and serious work, Ryuske has displayed a sense of humor. Although possessing great hate and anger towards the corrupted, he has proven himself a very caring and selfless person, constantly putting his life on the line to save innocent lives and bringing the most dangerous individuals to justice for society's protection.

He has proved to have a great love for humanity, which was instilled by his mentors. He has a very dynamic personality. His passion and intensity make him strong, although he has always had difficulty finding direction in life. Ryuske is also very skeptical and is described as a very complicated man. A very few can discern what is he thinking.

Short Biography:
Ryuske was born as a son of the Aseryo house, a prestige not many could honor. From a young age, the boy was taught in the art of war to turn him into a suitable general and future Lord. War was always necessary in these lands and they hammered it into his head except his mentors always made sure he understood the love of humanity. Ryuske was smarter then most thought leading him to have an understanding of the human nature and upholding justice. He had seen men and women die in combat to his adversaries and it helped shape him in wanting to finally establish peace in the lands. It would take years, he knew, but nonetheless Ryuske would try. Now with two prominent Houses coming together, he believed this could be the key to shaping this world into one of justice.

Appearance: minus the weird rocky stuff. His hair has been white since birth, a blessing of the gods according to his parents, however he has never seen it as such. He does not look as old as in the picture however the years of stress of lording for House Tosen has caused his face to appear a little older with wrinkles around the eyes and forehead however he still looks like a strong and able lord.

Personality: Takasu is a very stoic man, years of protecting and lording over his house have left him rather introverted. He is generally a quiet and calculating person and very stern. His punishments are strict but fair. He sticks to his honor and the honor of his house ensuring that in all of his actions he is never a disgrace to his name or house.

Short Biography: Takasu was born to the late lord of House Tosen as the second son of the prestigious family. His father died when Takasu was 13, his older brother was 20 and take the title of Lord. Takasu began to serve under his brother as the Lord's hand when he came of age. He served faithfully for two years before a skirmish in one of their boarder cities killed his brother. Now being the oldest heir of the house Taksu became the new Lord at the same age his brother did, 20.

As a boy Takasu learned the arduous and tedious skills of politics, deplomacy and economics. Alongside his brother he also learned to use a sword and ride horses. Through his many years of practice and training he learned respect and honor. When he became Lord he pushed for tighter stricter laws to deter crime and keep his people united. He increased taxes slightly to raise funds to strengthen defense along the boarders and he ruled on the principle of honor and loyalty. But despite his strict rulings and discipline he was fair above all else, he treated his people kindly knowing that without them he would not be a lord.

Iroha is an outgoing and energetic person but still preserves elegance in her actions. She is also a heavy pursuer of justice and will not hesitate to jump into trouble if innocence was at stake. She believes everyone she meets is good at heart and will always do the right thing when it matters until proven otherwise, a naivety that inevitably got her into trouble but nothing she could not handle with a little hunt and search and destroy.

However, this bubbly personality disappears when topics about her childhood are brought up. She will either ask for the conversation to change or quietly leave. This little trait seems to be connected to an individual named 'Jester', of whom she is quite afraid of but will fearlessly face in battle.

Short Biography:
In all honesty, Iroha never knew where she came from nor who were parents were. All she could remember is that she was a child rummaging through garbage to eat at least one meal a day. When fellow abandoned began to compete for the scraps of society, Iroha learned to swordfight just so she could eat. The fact that many starved and died just so she could live is a weight on Iroha's mind.

Iroha felt very guilty in clawing for survival at the expense of people and so she devoted herself into making the continent of Ostaria a better place by honing her swordsmanship and dealing with bandits and vagabonds, living off the rewards the people give her for her efforts. In time, she amassed enough wealth to buy her a decent set of light armor to help her in her quest. Iroha's heroic crusade would then continued across Ostaria until she reached Sariwon.

Seeing the monster problem, Iroha did not even think about joining the fight against the beasts and immediately offered her services to the nearest House who would point her at the right direction.

Personality:
Jester has a psychopathic, obsessive personality revolving around Iroha and her suffering. Jester does not care about any other people or creature, only seeing them as potential tools in hurting Iroha. His mannerisms vary across people, all of which tailored to whatever those people prefer so he could lead them to hate and cause Iroha pain.

Hurting Iroha is literally Jester's entire world and he would not care if it burns if it meant causing Iroha incredible suffering.

Short Biography:
Jester could barely remember what his life was before he saw a certain, golden-haired girl. A burning, clawing desire sparked within him when he saw that child living happily with her family. A desire which soon consumed his mind. Every waking moment was about the girl and so was his every dream. The obsession soon took new heights when Jester killed his own parents to take what they have and acquire the means to satiate his obsession.

With some torches and a sword, Jester invaded the young girl's home and slaughtered her family and set fire to the house. The horrified look on the girl's face gave him the most greatest pleasure in his life. As the girl fled for her life, Jester was still savoring the look of horror when the house burned to the ground. He survived but he was terribly hurt, something he did not mind as he had discovered his life goal.

Time passed by as Jester tirelessly pursued the girl who had grown up. However, opportunities were limited and came too quick but arriving in Sariwon, perhaps he could finally deliver a whammy on Iroha.

Weapons: He keeps weapons simple and light. He carries a custom crafted longbow made from one of the strongest trees of his home land. The bowstring is made from Esus Flax, a special plant that only grows along the rivers of the south, it is strong and flexible which makes it a favored material in most Opradan masterwork bows. The bow has etched vine patterns on the front and sides and along the handle with an Opradan archer’s prayer written in their runic language. He makes his own arrows in his spare time typically using wood he has gathered himself and materials he makes out of the animals he hunts. He always tries to keep about 30-50 arrows in his quiver at all times. Along with his favored bow he carries several throwing knives attached by an animal leather bandolier wrapped in an ‘X’ shape around his abdomen, these knives typically are not used unless he needs to as they are specially made. The handles are carved animal bone sanded and smoothed to a fine quality, the blades are simply treated and folded steel. Finally, fitted next to his quiver he carries a single short blade sword with a carved wood handle and a steel blade. He keeps the sword in the chance he finds himself in close combat.

Personality: Aero is a very lighthearted young adult. He is open and friendly, even to those who would be called enemies. He enjoys the thrill of combat and the intricacies of conversation. He is not one for diplomacy as his lack of experience with the delicacies of the other Houses’ relationship with each other. He is often seen as lazy and aloof, seen relaxing in trees or places only accessible by climbing. He loves climbing and exploring new places, often getting into trouble when he is caught climbing buildings he shouldn’t.

Short Biography: Aero was born in Oprad to House Esus, he spent his early childhood learning their culture and rituals. He hunted and tracked animals, learning to climb trees and venture over terrain that most would find difficult. As is custom for his people he left his village when he was 11 to prove himself a man. He stayed in the forest for a year, fending for himself and getting to know the terrain of his home country better. He was not forbidden contact with other tribes, in fact it was encouraged to bolster inter House relationships. He met some of his greatest friends on his trial. He returned to his village when he was 13, a little longer than is typical however this was no problem. Aero was changed on his journey, though. While it is common for his people to have a sense of exploration and adventure he wanted to go further than any of his people had ever gone. He wanted to travel across the western mountains and explore the world, see what it had to offer and hunt in the forests that existed beyond, to see the rivers and mountains and meet people that were so foreign to them. He left his village when he was 18 with the blessings of the House lord, he was given the Lord’s bow as an act of faith and friendship. Aero then made his way south through the forests, following the river until he met the river that would lead him west. It took him a year and a half to finally reach the mountain’s edge. He began the perilous climb over the mountain with excitement. He crossed over quickly, traveling alone made the trek simpler, he was now in Sariwon. After a year of traveling within the strange country he came across a knight of the House Aseryo. This knight viewed elves as an omen of fortune and allowed Aero to accompany him as he travelled, at the prospect of this Knight showing Aero the world Aero quickly pledged his allegiance to the knight, swearing his bow to protect the knight and his men. In turn this implied his allegiance to the House and when Aero learned of this he did not mind. It was an excitement to him, and one he believed was part of his adventure.
