Summary

Mysterious occurrences have been happening through the city. Rumors tell about queer looking creatures stalking the shadows, people disappearing from the streets during the night, crime syndicates so powerful that the law can't even touch them, corrupt corporations that rule the world from the shadows and much, much more.

The common men dismiss such tales as nothing but urban legends, fabrications of the collective sub-consciousness of all who inhabit this sprawling jungle of concrete and steel.

However, there are few who know the truth that lies beyond the edge of every corner, within the back alleys where the light never shines and above the rooftops where the night wind howls fiercely. These persons are know as Chasers, men and women of every age and path in life that always have at least two things in common.

First, they all know that the world is much more than the eye meets, that the supernatural beings wait inside every shadow, waiting to prey on the unwary. And second, somehow everyone of them has seen what lies beyond this world, the other side of reality that is best left unknown to the everyday man, this second world is know as the Crimson Sky.

And beyond it lies a world bathed in red.

All Chasers know of the Crimson Sky, in fact the ability to get in and out of there is the first and foremost difference between a normal human and a Chaser, and most of them gained their other abilities when they were sent there by accident, or dragged there by one of the Crimson Sky's inhabitants.

Entering and leaving the Crimson Sky can only be done during the night, for those who know how to do it, it is just a matter of crossing the right street or turning a in the correct direction corner. However, the easy with which it's done, meaning the number of places where the crossing can be done varies with the phases of the moon, being much harder on new moon and almost childishly easy on the full moon nights.

The Crimson Sky is home to a number of different creatures that the Chasers dubbed Youkai for easy of reference. Some of them are friendly, some indifferent, but the great majority are nothing but predators always seeking their next meal of human flesh.

Ok, this is my second iteration of an idea for an anime like urban fantasy RP. The first time I ran this RP was a nice experience for me and now I refined the idea a lot. Amongst other things I decided to try and see if this will work as a semi sand-box RP, meaning that, even if there's a bit of an overarching plot, no one will be obliged to follow it and players are more than welcome, in fact, I'm hoping people can contribute with their own ideas to turn this into a trully unique experience for everyone.

Personality:
Ikkime is a generally nice natured person, not hating of anyone, no race, no color of skin, all that stuff is nothing in her mind, even gender doesn't matter to her. She cares nothing of the color of skin or race because simply it is not one act that defines a group of people but individuals acts that determine the person. Make them who they are and give them a reason to make Ikkime not like them. Even the most vile people on earth, Ikkime can get along with because she is simply fascinated with how they think and would love to have a one on one conversation with that said person. Nor does she discriminate or hate a certain race because she believes that everyone gets a second chance, with what they do with that is none of her business just that they deserve at least one more chance and if nothing was learned from the last time then they are only then a lost cause she will give up on them. In her eyes even the meanest of people can be nice, whether it be small or big, she will show kindness to all people until they prove to her that they don't deserve her niceness what so ever. The reason behind her kindness and acting like a mother, is because of having no one for her when she was younger, she knows what it means to be alone.

She can also be much like a sage when helping people through physical hardships, like giving advice, helping them social problems, even helping them with the problem directly. She tries her best to help strugglers out whenever possible, even ones that others think are a lost cause. If the person is willing, she do her best to help them , just ask nicely and she'll do her best to "fix" the situation. She loves giving advice that is honest regardless of if they will hurt your feelings she will not lie to you even if it comes down to saying something mean, she only wants you to get better and if things need to be said then she will say it, granted she does understand feelings and try to dial it back some but other then that you will get the truth out of her and nothing more. In the event that she does lie to you, which rarely will happen she would do it for the protection of not only herself but you and the people involved if it is that serious then at that point she will keep it to herself and only the people she is sure can handle it so that she does not cause mass panic.

She is a very particular person for someone of her race and stature someone that a lot of people would say a left curve for what job she has, some might even say it's a wonder how she’s wasn’t a human. She is one of the nicest beings one could meet, but there is something a bit off about her sometimes, it's not always apparent and some might even say one wouldn't notice it at all but there is sometimes a sudden change that she does when going from fighting to angry, it's almost like a 0-60 deal and it's scares a lot of people from how funny and quirky she can be to almost cruel like, one would call her unrecognizable when she is angry or serious. That being said she is able to hold in that part of her mind and personality in check and keep it from becoming who she is outside of fighting or training, though she could be considered Bipolar. She can also sport a sprouting of good spirit when the moment arrives and can be for the most part easy to hang out with and sometimes even a jokester when needed to be. Though when drunk she is almost a completely different person, one who is a bit of a flirt and tease and a big partier.

Powers:
Ikkime's soul is so vast and so powerful, that simply moving can become an attack. By flexing and extending her muscles, she causes large arms of physical aura to reach from her being. These "arms of aura" are completely visible to the naked eye, thanks to the sheer amount of their spiritual power causing them to glow. They appear much like Ikkime's arms, lithe and elongated...but outrageous strength hidden within. Though the ends form into hands, with fingers, there is no fine motor control. The fingers do no move, nor do they bend or squeeze. These behave more like an animals' paw, in that, they digits are merely there for support or clawing.

The size of the arms can vary, depending on the level of exertion Ikkime uses. She can range the length of her arms from 1 single foot, all the way to 30 meters. The radius of the arms, which often take the very cylindrical form of her own anatomy, will vary from 1 meter to 5 meters. She can sling arms the size of people or buses, it all depends on her effort. What they lack in tactile function, they make up for with devastation. Whatever becomes struck by these limbs is hit with the full force of Ikkime's strength. The arm is a conduit for her deceptively, horrifying physicality. Though they cannot grab or clutch their targets, they can pummel and pulverize them to fine, flesh dust. These arms are as tireless as Ikkime, and will only give out when her spirit does. Basically...death will come first.

They can't grapple or clutch things...and they can't have claws. She has no fine control over her aura, which would allow her to articulate the fingers or make them squeeze...and this same lack of control prevents her from honing the ends of the arms into a fine, cutting point. What they do instead of grasping or scratching...is they crush. These arms are formed out of her wildly vast power reserves, and possess the same strength as the soul who exerts them. Her ability to create limbs or "hammer-like" bodies of aura, is determined by her Class. She can make up to 7 arms at once and no more, though the more arms she makes, the slower her body becomes, leaving her arms to make her move, but her body to be semi vulnerable. These arms as strong as steel, if not stronger.

These said arms are able to be instantly change length, and also diameter though they can only grow as big as 5 meters at the max and everything below. else it becomes to much to control. The arms themselves are an extension of them, so if you're able to break them, then they would injure her as well, not only that it would cause the arms to be weaker when she regrows them. She can only regrow them back a number of 4 times before it becomes to much for her to control. Each arm causes her to lose control of the power, after the first one they get slower, until the last one which is the as the strong as the first if not stronger. The first arms spawned will be 3 meters wide and and have a 30 meter reach, The second round will be slower and 2 meters wide, but still have the reach capacity of 30 meters. The third round is her weakest and only 1.5 meters wide, but they are 35 meters long to make up for the weakness of the size. The third round of arms are also much much much much slower, only as fast a human in shape. The fourth round of arms are arguably the strongest, they are 4 meters in diameter and go back to the reach of 30 meters. The reason behind why they are they are the strongest is the reiatsu acts as adrenaline when in this final stage.

Beyond this main power, Ikkime is also strong enough to lift a car with effort, and faster then humans. She is how ever not incredibly durable but she can take some hits.

Personality:
Originally a staunch advocate for "justice and truth", the harsh reality of the world has made Kusanagi bit cynical over the years. Despite this, she still cares deeply for the people most close to her and still retains a sense of duty when it comes to helping out other people. She likes to keep up an image of carelessness and humor, especially in the midst of combat. However, this free nature of hers can lead to dangerous results when faced with an enemy intent on killing.

Although generally working alongside the Chasers, Kusanagi very much has her own agenda, though it's nothing for her fellow partners to be concerned with. All she wants is to keep her world safe; helping out the Chasers is just the best way to go about that. She does not view herself as inherently good as she does not believe in a world so black and white.

If something seems like the right thing to do, she will do it, even if it does end up causing trouble later down the line. In this respect, she can appear naive and sometimes even selfish. But in the end, she'll use her blade only when it is backed by her full resolve and devoid of doubts.

Background:
Kusanagi was once a wandering traveler who searched the World of places to see and people to help, lending her blade to whoever needed it. At that time, she saw herself as a "hero" of sorts in the eyes of those around her. It was only after she stole her signature weapon, the Volunta, and became involved with the Crimson World did her idealistic viewings become perverted.

Since she's acquired the Volunta, she's stopped aging physically and has devoted the rest of her existence to defending the world against the Crimson realm. Currently, she's set up a pawnshop in Sonomachi that also serves as a resting and meeting spot for weary travelers and fellow Chasers. It is aptly named the Dangeki Pawnshop and Suite. Not much is really known about her past from before, other than that she left her home town in search of a greater purpose.

Powers:

-Synthesis: Kusanagi retains only one unique power, and that is the ability to make others forget her existence. She can apply this in a number of ways, even in combat situations. She can appear and disappear in flashes of great speed and dodge attacks, not because she is ungodly fast but because she can make the enemy forget in brief moments what they are attacking. As such, it’s not uncommon for onlookers to be amazed at her impossible feats when in reality, they are merely forgetting Kusanagi’s existence in that time frame.

This gift of course must be monitored at all times. Synthesis is a power directly tied to Kusanagi’s emotional output. Therefore, she must be careful, lest she accidentally erase her own existence from people’s memories permanently. Fortunately, her existence can be replenished in worse case scenarios by utilizing the final function of her Volunta.

Weapons:
The Volunta is a Japanese chokuto with two three-barreled revolvers melded onto each side of the blade above the weapon's guard, with a dark blue coloring patterned on the hilt. The weapon can fire out short bursts of energy that can propel the user, giving them speed and distance. Furthermore, the melded guns can fire off shots of energy and the user can slice crescent waves at the enemy. Other than that, it's retains the functions of a regular sword.

Finally, Kusanagi possesses one final trick in her arsenal; a desperation attack where she charges forward and plunges the Volunta into an enemy's chest. The weapon will then drain that being's very existence away. However, the technique itself drains away her own existence if used, so she must ensure that her target gets taken out in with the move order to survive the attack.

Can't say I like or am a fan of Kyoukai no Kanata or Shana but I loved the shit out of Meduka Meguca and Kara no Kyoukai (in fact I'd rank the latter as some of my favorite films of all time, bless ufotable and their unlimited budget) and I'm quite enjoying Noragami and Under Night In-Birth, so what the hell. Appearance:

Personality: It isn't really known what he believes in or how his personality is, since nobody survives an encounter with him due to him only appearing before his victims. The few people that aren't encountered by Akuma as victims reported that he is highly unstable and hostile. Akuma seems to be indifferent about everyone and everything around him but goes on relentless killing sprees because he enjoys it and believes it's better to use the power you have to get what you want. Other than that, it is unclear what motivates him or what the reason behind his instability is.

Background: His origins are unknown, the first confirmed sighting was over 300 years ago but there were alleged sightings more than 500 years ago and very few people know who he is.

Powers: Akuma possesses incredible strength and speed, which he utilizes to catch and sometimes even kill his victims. He also has incredibly sharp canines which allow him to drain targets, but not because he needs to, but because draining people provides him with increasing (not increasing much in a single drain but the difference is big at about 100 drains) his strength and speed. Draining also increases his special power which is to be able to, through the eyes, control targets and telekinesis. His mental powers aren't exactly powerful since he only recently (about 100 years ago) acquired them.

The extent of his control over other people is not very much, he can only establish control on weak-minded targets and since the amount of control he can exert is limited, he tends to instill hallucinations into the victims. These hallucinations are designed to immobilize and weaken his targets before he moves in for the kill. Akuma's telekinesis, on the other hand, is pretty decent. He can move any object that weighs up to 5 tons but if the target moves (if it's a living being) and struggles, Akuma finds difficulty in holding them. Due to this, most of the time he avoids using telekinesis on any living beings to avoid letting "prey" go.

Just a clarification, when I said rarely kills his victims, I meant that he rarely uses his strength to do so as he prefers to drain.
