@Emma Oh they all work, just Reapers and Psychopomps would generally belong to the Fall Court as they control Samhain/Halloween/All Hallow's Eve.

Season born, Humans adopted by the Fae, or humans born to One fae parent. I.E Summer born, humans in the summer court.

Examples of season born: Druids, Witches, I think i saw something about spirits, but id avoid that one.

Season-born are shaped by the Fae or Fae (Plural) that turns them. They are what that Fae designed. Save in extremely rare cases.

@LadyRunic Are Season-Born then considered lesser fae, changelings, or slave/servant kind of things? I was also wondering about death/aging and immortality pertaining to the Fae?

EDIT* Since they live so long, is changing court at all any kind of possibility, even if rare?.

@Emma Fae are essentially immortal if they do not fall ill or are killed. Aging depends on the Fae. Falk (The Fall King) is ancient even among the Fae and he rivals Runlauf in his years. Falk looks young, fit. Like a late 20's, early 30's man. Another Fae could look like a child or a old man depending on their own make up, namely power. They only die of 'old age' if they will it, or their power wans enough.

Season Born are generally used as servants as they are being turned. But they can rise high in the Fae Courts like any other Fae. Yes they are Changelings.

And Yes they can change Court, but beware of the retributions for it. Ie being hunted down, killed, enslaved, and if you make it without that being watched forevermore.

Humans wander in and out of the Fae Realm. They are prizes and dangerous people to the Fae. Essentially you play a human and you try to survive the Fae Madness. Havok aught to add to jog my mind?

Anyone familiar with Changeling: the Lost? Just a topic of conversation, it's a very good interpretation of faeries.

So created like Pandora kind of thing? But started out as a human, and morphed into a hybrid? kind of new fae?

@LadyRunic i would like to say, its also the humans job to try to protect humanity, or undermine it. Or if your a servant, to aid your fae ruler, and try not to get turned into paint for a wall.

I'm going to have to withdraw my interest on account of not being online enough to ever hope to keep up with this. Sorry guys. Still, good luck with this thing.

Oh, and before I go, @Emma I happen to have come across a few bits of folklore about Marzanna in my time. I take it you are talking about the Polish, or at least West Slavic, version of Morena. The queen of winter. Well, she is often depicted as corpselike, even half-decayed.

In the Russian tradition, Morena was once a powerful mortal sorceress who earned the favor of the gods and was granted a single wish. According to the Russians she wished for eternal life, but she forgot to ask foreternal youth to go with it. And so she grew old physically. Eventually her body even started to decay like a corpse even though it could not truly die. And so she ended up cursed, rather than blessed, with eternal life.

Now in the Polish tradition there is a related deity called Smiertnica. She is very similar in form, with her golden scythe and corpselike appearance, but functions mostly as a psychopomp and less so as a winter goddess. Now Smiertnica is related to a category of Wendish psychopomp spirits whose name escapes me right now, who appeared as very creepy children, kind of like a morbid combination between the classic child-ghost and the old Changeling: the Dreaming Sluagh.

Anyway, I hope that the info is useful to you.

@Emma Pandora? Like the movie Avatar? Nope.

Season-born are more trained than made. They learn how the Fae work and over the years may become fae themselves if they start as humans. As Changelings they pick it up easier as they are part Fae.

I would think that Emma means Pandora, as in Pandora's Box. The wife of Epimetheus, the first mortal woman created by the gods. Created by a vengeful Zeus as to plague mankind, after they had received the fires of divinity from Prometheus.

well, they could have meant Avatar here- how the Avatars are Made in Tubes. mistaking the Season born as "Made" when they are converted in the sense of training and mental conditioning.

No not the Planet in Avatar. Pandora in Greek mythology. Most of my Myth knowledge pertains to Greek, Roman, and Celtic myth, with a bit of Russian and Norse folklore tossed in.

Pandora is similar to Eve (of Adam & Eve) of Christianity. She was created to be the first human woman, and was to be a curse on humanity. Created by multiple gods. She was gifted specific attributes/abilities by the different gods. So like Aphrodite the goddess of Beauty/Love/Desire she gifted Pandora with beauty and grace.

So in this RP, I though when you said ---

Season-born are shaped by the Fae or Fae (Plural) that turns them. They are what that Fae designed. Save in extremely rare cases.

Season-Born

I assumed Fae take a human and shape them into a something else over a period of time Basically a fae turns a human into a fae of their own design, for various reasons.
----------------------------
Another question, reproduction, and genetics in this RP. How does that work. Can a Banshee and a Goblin have a baby together? and if yes is the offspring a hybrid, or just takes after one parent? Is birth a thing or do Fae just come into being somehow?? Sorry for all the questions, just find this all very interesting and AWESOME!

-----------------------------
@Six Six Six Their is also a Greek myth just like that, the whole wishes for immortality forget to ask for youth thing. I kind of rather not play a skeleton person thought, so appearance wise I just stick to beautiful, mythical, fairy, ethereal, person. There is also mention of Marzanna appearing as a beautiful you girl, and an old hag. Thank young for the info though, Good stuff!
-----------------------------
Sorry if I'm making no sense!!

@Emma Your making me think! Geez, this is fun! Reproduction depends on the fae. Ents grow from a seed, some hatch, some are born normally, and other are spun by very powerful Fae that understand the beginning mystery. The thing which started Life. It's the Holy Graile and should a Fae know it, they would not use it for fear of the price. Life comes at a cost when making it from the hands of the Fae.

As for genetics, they can cross breed but pure lines are more desirable to some as they are thought to be and usually are more powerful. A cross breed will take after a parent or be a hybrid if it's possible. Ie. Elf and Season-born equals a Powerful Elf with Seasonborn qualities. A pegasus and Unicorn makes a Alicorn.
