I suppose hybrids are on a very case-by-case basis. Fun to think about, though.

@Emma Your making me think! Geez, this is fun! Reproduction depends on the fae. Ents grow from a seed, some hatch, some are born normally, and other are spun by very powerful Fae that understand the beginning mystery. The thing which started Life. It's the Holy Graile and should a Fae know it, they would not use it for fear of the price. Life comes at a cost when making it from the hands of the Fae.

As for genetics, they can cross breed but pure lines are more desirable to some as they are thought to be and usually are more powerful. A cross breed will take after a parent or be a hybrid if it's possible. Ie. Elf and Season-born equals a Powerful Elf with Seasonborn qualities. A pegasus and Unicorn makes a Alicorn.

Right there!! Sounds kind of like a winner for Marzanna. Depending on what kind of elves we are taking about. Santa/Tolkien/Eargon/Wood/High/Light/Dark/Moon/etc???

Second of all UNICORNS are my favorite. That and salamanders.

Elves would be Tolkien's, you can't be perfection. I don't mean Legolas by that. @Emma

You just used the word Alicorn.
I'm going to write a sheet and use my spite to make an amazing character.
I will channel my anger to achieve greatness.
(I'm kidding, I'm not THAT cliche)

A creature like the Unicorns in the Last Unicorn would be perfect as the ruler of the Summer Court.

It's funny to think about; the most humanoid fae lead the most inhuman courts, and the most humanlike courts are led by a tree and (potentially) a horse.

Quick question, it says Season Born are either half fae, or adopted by them. How does that work if they're adopted?

And what are hybrid fae called? Is there a catch all term, or does it depend on what mix they are?

@Natsu It means they've been made into the fae (Adopted). Season-born are more trained than made. They learn how the Fae work and over the years may become fae themselves if they start as humans. As Changelings they pick it up easier as they are part Fae.

@Emma There's no catch phrase. if they are a mix it generally doesn't matter. Unless it's apparent.

I see, but what do I put under race on the CS if she is mixed?

Adopted Season born... humans that are More like Kidnapped, Stolen, abducted or otherwise sworn into loyalty service or worse. That or saved from the wilds as a child.

Though, and this is from an optimistic point of view, a Fae, with a Human Friend, who dies, can adopt that child, if that child has nowhere to go. Most Season Born children who are human, are given away to fae who want children to control the amount of season born that could cause trouble. (OR at least, that's what would make the most sense)

Okay, this all sounds mighty detailed with a ton of work poured into the concept. But what I am most interested in is this, what would be the chances of a golem of stone, a sentient lord of boulders, a groovy man of gravel, a courtier of crag, a mastermind of minerals, an overlord of ore, a persistent purveyor of pebbles, a freaking rock guy. I think you get the picture.

I am interested in this although it would be cool if I could be an Eladrin if you know what that is?

@LadyRunic So what is the fae realm/courts like, are the fae walking around with cell phones wearing jeans, or is it more...idk...magical.

So I've read the book Wicked Lovely, and that is kind of what I'm picturing, its similar to 'Mortal Interments' world. The fae live beside humans, but are invisible, and have places/politics/tech/culture of there own.

I've also seen the TV show 'Lost Girl' and this is also mixing its way into what I imagine the world like. So the fae live alongside humans under glamour, doing human jobs and so on to help serve their court. The difference between humans and fae are the appearance and abilities, laws, and so on. Kind of like the show 'Grimm' if you don't know 'Lost Girl'.

Is it more like a completely different world like Narnia, or neverland? Humans living in there own world, and the the Fae world is separate, and old fashion medieval style, stuck in the ancient ways? But like in the show 'Outlander', their are openings in the human world to enter the Fae realm?

Or is it like the 'Harry Potter' universe. Which is kind of like a mix of all of the above...?

Back to my question of Eladrin because I wanted to give you the idea that an Eldarin being a more magical Fae would be closer to the roots of the Fae origin like in Dungeons and Dragons, and stuff but anyways maybe I could be like a Fae with more magical capability or just inate Fae Magic or something like that.

Great! It'll probably be a little bit before I write up a CS. In the mean time, I'm not entirely sure, is the summer court still open for lordship. Also, I don't think I'm versed in the idea of how this RP will work, for instance, what would the rules of different courts be doing as well as those who do not hold positions of power? I take it this is a more sandboxy type environment? Thanks!

@Blackmist16

At this point I am unsure, mainly because I'd like to hear a little bit more about the general structure of the RP and still need to write my CS.

For instance, I had an idea for this stone golem outside of the jurisdiction of any court, though I am unsure of what this entails (especially by 'extreme pressure'. And I'll probably make my CS after learning more. Or perhaps I'll have a placeholder. Generally because I'm not sure how well a conglomerate of rock fits in as the king of the Summer court.
