Well, I'm the group engineer/gunsmith/mechanic. Or something. Lol, so I hope I'm smarter than the average super mutant.

Can we compromise and just have me hug Fawkes and uncle Leo? How about if I hug a super mutant master from behind while wearing power armor? ("choke hold" style hugs work, right?) Otherwise we're going to settle for Liberty Prime hugging the Behemoth.

Alternatively you can hug the Super Mutant Hivemind-thing or an angry Prime. Attempts of brining in friendly super mutants is considered cheating by SMHL guidelines and any violations of the rules by contenders will result in Fisto.

Ok, I'm going to need 600 stim packs, power armor, and a maxed out skill in unarmed and medicine. Also jet. Lots and lots of jet. Because there's no way I'm going in there sober.

That would all be cheating. No armor or skills either. The only protection you need is the power of love!*
*Surgeon General's warning: Love does not and cannot heal flesh wounds or missing limbs

Besides, you might scare the Super Mutants with all that armor and chems and OP 1337 Kung Fu haxor ski11z D:

Note: I'm a Ghoul, super mutants rarely attack Ghouls (if I'm remembering that right). I think I win by default...

I've come up with a new perk to take the place of the two perks I already have and I want to know if I can use it.

Trust me, I'm a Doctor: +1 ALG, +1 PER, +5% Crit. Chance and Damage

Personally, I think this goes better with Odysseus' character since he is a medical android. The +1 to stats were origanlly meant for him to be better a surgery with better eyesight to see tiny things and deformities while operating and more fine motor skills so he doesn't cut something important while operating. The additional Crit. stuff is due to the fact he knows what points in the human body is vital thus cause more pain/damage.

And these are just some racial bonus ideas I came up with. Again, just ideas.

Androids:

Mechanical Man: Limbs are harder to cripple and DT is increased

Humans:

Social Animals: Damage and accuracy is increased for each nearby friendly human, androids give half the bonus and ghouls give none.

Ghouls:

Ghoulish Delight: Resistant to radiation and heals from radiation, can convince Feral Ghouls to attack others, will not be attacked by mutated (ie centaurs and super mutants but not Deathclaws and wild animals)

There's been a Fallout RP out in Advanced for three days and I haven't even noticed. Still open?

I believe it still should be. There aren't many actual characters up right now for a large group and the GM hasn't posted saying its full.

I feel like a lot of us are missing part of the point of the setting.

1) The Wasteland has lost (as a rough estimate) 60% of its human population, and 90% of its ghoul and super mutant population, due to the modified FEV.

2) Any faction other than the Enclave should be severely weakened, given their loss in manpower and resources.

3) The Enclave is not in the business of negotiation, typically. If you'll recall, they were in the business of exterminating vaults on the suspicion that they might have been tainted by radiation.

This isn't the Capital Wasteland anymore, and I get the feeling that a lot of people are missing that.

I don't really see your point. As of right now, only one person is playing as a ghoul and the SMHL was a joke, there's only one person whose really aligned with any faction and that's Longshot with the BoS, the biggest focus isn't on vaults, its the newly named Capital Graveyard with a heavy Enclave presence. The large majority of us are wanderers or people in towns which I don't remember the Enclave trying to purge.

We're all aware that the wasteland has changed, but its not like the Enclave suddenly went toleration state dictator on everyone's ass

That's... exactly what the Enclave are, though? Their actual end goal is the reestablishment of civilized society, without mutants, and with themselves in complete power.

My points mostly arise from how strange it would be for the Enclave to negotiate with slavers of all people, or for the BoS to be at "full strength."

That's there goal but I think they haven't managed to do quite that yet

Sometimes you have to do things like that to get power. America has negotiated and even supported terrorists at one point in its history.

Yeah but applying the barest iota of logic to this makes it all fall through. Let's think about it. Slavers are wastelanders, meaning mostly-mutant degenerates, so they aren't likely to be recruited. Their slaves are the same, which makes them practically worthless to the Enclave. Slavers are ubiquitously hated throughout the wasteland, which means they're detrimental to the hearts and minds campaign the Enclave runs at the surface level. And apparently the Slaver Falls inhabitants are so destitute that a single caravaneer is the only thing keeping them afloat, so they have no resources to pool.

It would make far more sense to me if this "deal" were a trap to knock out the slavers in one fell swoop.

@Dead Cruiser

I do agree with that logic, but I see it as something else (kind of):

The Enclave are using the slavers as a way to familiarize themselves with the wasteland from a wastelander's view. Since I'm guessing they don't feel like sending out masses of troops or vertiberd recons to scout the wasteland out. Second, they may not recruit the slavers or their slaves, but they can be used as meat shields preventing their actual worthy soldiers from taking all too much damage. And because the slavers are so poor, the Enclave wouldn't need much on bribing them to be said bullet sponges. If a degenerate gets killed, boo hoo roll the next one in, but if one of their men get killed, things get problematic since they just lost a trained guy and all of his equipment.

Of course, this is all from a war point of view tho.
