Name: Aisling Ní Cheallaighe, "She who is born of ashes"

Race (Human or Type of Fae): Human

Position (In court if you are a fae, Any fae outside of a court will be under extreme pressure): Servant to Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor

Age: 61, looks 17-19

Personality (Fae type has effect): A once proud young woman, she was bent to the task of serving O'Aenges-Mor quickly. Still she snarks at her Lord Fae, and is more than willing to question him and his orders. But she knows any out right disloyalty could get her killed and if he were to die she would wish to perish soon after without his protection in the Fae Courts. She is sharp to others of lesser rank than she, and is wise to the way of the fae. A must within their realm.

Appearance: Thick red hair falls to her waist and frames grey eyes. Pale skin from time spent with the Fall Court. She generally wears a heavy gown of dark green or brown with a cloak of grey. Dressing in the style of Victorian times. She appears and actually physically is around her seventeenth or nineteenth year. It is uncertain when she stopped aging after she was brought into the fae courts. She is a bit on the shorter side, and is petite.

Background: Aisling was born to a wealthy family and had a very lovely childhood. She never had want for anything, but when she had fallen for a young man and learned a horrible truth that jeopardized her privileged life she panicked. Fleeing to the forest she sought solace while trying to comfort herself with something. It was there she was found by Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor of the Fae. She offered him anything, if only to grant her the answer to her problem. He gave her the promised answer and took her to the realm of the Fae as payment. She has served him ever since.

Name: Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor

Race (Human or Type of Fae): Fall-born Fae

Position (In court if you are a fae, Any fae outside of a court will be under extreme pressure): King of the Fall Court

Age: Unknown

Personality (Fae type has effect): Sharp as a blade, quick as a snake, Tegvan rules his Court with a iron fist and is more than willing to employ almost tyrannical means to get his Fae followers in line. His is swift with justice, and swifter with vengeance. He has a cruel amusement and enjoys the 'finer' things in life. Not to say he is without mercy. He doesn't even know the meaning of the word.

Appearance: A tall fae, he appears as a dark shadowy form, or as a dark skinned fae with black armor some say is made of dim grey starlight. His ears have definite points and his nails as well. His eyes are the fall storms and his teeth are sharp as a blades. Ravens are said to be his cloak of feathers and his voice is said to be the rushing wind. In his glimmer spell, he takes the appearance of a tall man, with short black hair and pale blue eyes. His skin is periously pale and with high cheek bones and an arrow straight nose. His ears are however not pointed in the glimmer spell, rather human shaped and size. He usually wears something matching the current time, for the present it is dark jeans, black boots, and a loose grey shirt. His build is not bulky like the winter fae but rather well muscled and toned.

Background: Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor is a ancient and powerful Fae. Little is known about him and why he took on a human pet is less understood. He is not a fae to cross though he does have his good points. Often putting out small prizes for the fae that messes the best with Spring and Summer Court, and dancing about the politics with the grace of a falling leaf. No one is certain how long he has held the throne but all have seen the tormented Fae who tried to take it from him. Their final moments imprisoned in artwork. He has no mercy, but is more than willing to listen to the lesser Fae before considering their points. Tegvan is not a Fae to cross and he makes that well known. But within him is a deep sorrow well hidden by the many, many years he has walked the earth and Fae Realm.

Name: Urke'j Lask ( Goes by Haeson, Or "Metalls Schmied", Metal's Smith )

Race: Gremlin, Winter Fae

Position: Former Winter Baron, Current Winter King

Age: Seems 20 under glimmer, looks 25 without. Predates the fall of the Roman Empire. (I will say vauguely, 1400 years or the like. Dudes older than most hills.)

Personality: Harsh, snappy and cold, thought out but Logical. Quick to anger. Corruptible, yet not Foolish

Appearance: With glimmer: 5'8, short black hair with green-blue eyes, usually in a craft-man's suit fitting for a metal worker, Without Glimmer: 6'4 long bound blond/sliver hair, darker skin, iron earrings on longer ears Similar to Elven yet not as pointy. wearing fur and leather in a Tribal, or barbaric armor that dates back to the Gaul tribes, dark red eyes. and a short beard.

Background: Urke'j Lask, as the Winter Baron, won power through debt and Domination. Earning the Title of the Metal's Master, as he finished the masterpiece, The Fang of Shadows. a Great blade made to cut asunder not only flesh, but mind and soul as well. Its feasts upon the blood of its victims to further grow in power, ad the more powerful the victim, the greater the feast.. He then used his blade, to tear asunder previous barons, and clam the seat himself. He served the Winter King methodically, Uncaring to move onward, but refusing to allow other to challenge him for his seat of power. Urke'j had been baron longer than most can recall, and those who do remember only do so because of a lesson harshly learned. Never one to let a Favor go unpaid, he will take a mile, when only an inch is offered. When the previous winter king faltered, and showed weakness unfitting for the court of winter, Lask, in all his disgust, took up his blade and slew the once mighty king, claiming the throne and title, though perhaps not for the best of winter. Under Lask's brutal tyranny winter became more organized, and more focused on getting what needed to be done, completed. In the most part it suited winter to be so direct and industrious, but what winter didn't need is the shift of power, With the incredibly cruel and torturous fae in power, winters become more and more cruel... They've also become a direct threat to the power of the Summer and Fall courts- ignoring spring as weak or not worth the effort.

Orðabók

Race:
Stone Golem

Position:
Mostly unaffiliated with any court, though he mostly dwells in the lands of spring.

Age:
18,251. While quite ancient among a great deal of Fae, Orðabók would still be likely referred to as 'young-un' by many of the Ents.

Personality:
Orðabók's mainstay is his nature of philosophy. Often almost to a fault asking the simple yet entirely nebulous question of 'why?' It is in his mind that all knowledge is sacred, even things of the most minute detail or consequence. He is far too often lost in thought and ponderings of life's meaning. While such a craggy exterior may sway you, the warm and generous heart of Orðabók is pure gold (literally) While the great golem is glad to dole out the vast knowledge of his hermitage, he is incredibly protective of it, for much information can do great harm falling into the wrong hands. Often to the fault of many, Orðabók will sacrifice far too much to learn even the least bit more, placing knowledge before the lives of his fellows and even that of his own.

Appearance:
No stones about it, this amalgam of rock and ore is quite the massive fellow, vastly out sizing and out weighing a great majority of Fae, while still not quite as large as other great ancients, such as the mighty Ents and other natural spirits. His entire body is composed of pebbles and boulders of slate loosely fitting together to form a roughly humanoid shape. His right arm far outsizes his left to an almost mace like ending. Thickly coated in vibrant green mosses and vines give Orðabók quite an aged look, as well as numerous runes of eldritch power engraved upon his stony hide. With gemstone eyes does the ponderous golem watch and wait for yet more to learn.

Background:
There are many who say that the most powerful force of all is nature in and of itself. Through and through this is seen to all, gushing water erodes upon all ceaselessly through every waking moment, great windstorms lead unstoppable paths of destruction in their wake, immense calderas of flame remake the world in their design. And of course, the very earth for which all creatures, fae or otherwise owe their life. From wide mountain ranges to majestic planes. The very key to life is below the feet of all creatures, rock, soil, mud. From which all things are made, and finally unmade.

The first memories of the arcane lord of stone are as vivid as the waking world. A serene plain, with gardens of rock and trees of stone. For but an abrupt and seemingly causeless second life had sprung into uncountable rocks and stones. First where the simply senses, such as sight and touch. Eventually into these new beings flooded a vast array of emotion and thought. Innumerable herds of these constructs had simply wondered off of their own volition and many more simply stayed in some infantile attempt to learn of their origin. And most of all, question what would come next.

Orðabók was of no special consequence compared to these beings, other than the simple fact that as the then young golem of stone began laboriously setting one foot after another, others began to follow. Until the point at which a hoard of these stone creatures ceaselessly began trudging onward. Traveling without purpose, without destination for years known only to the most savvy of the quarry. Over time, these travels had brought beings more complex advances in their emotions, and understanding of the world around them, even learning of speech from the younger races.

Over great mountains, vast desserts, and dark oceans, the people of rock had purposelessly traveled. Until at last only he had arrived back at his arcane birthplace. A metaphor for the impossible questions that plagued Orðabók's mind; an endless cycle to which more knowledge only brings you further from the truth, a cycle which many who asked break apart from, until those that remain finally arrive exactly where they began.

It was here that the lore master had etched laboriously to create the stone halls that he calls home, a place detached from many court dealings, yet one of learning. Long before the courts of Fae had wrested power for themselves, Orðabók had begun searching for enlightenment, to amass knowledge, and answer that impossible question, why?

In order to survive in his relatively neutral state, the elder golem would have to welcome those of the court to his solemn halls in search of answers to their questions. But such relations were shaky at best, and it wouldn't be long before he would be given the choice, 'join or perish.'

Within his golden core, Orðabók senses that he is close to unlocking the true meaning of life after eons of searching, and with that comes a sinister feeling that such an answer could reek havoc upon the world at large.

Name: Meliae is what she's known as but her true name is Aghaveagh ó Ceallaigh
Race (Human or Type of Fae): Wood Nymph
Position (In court if you are a fae, Any fae outside of a court will be under extreme pressure): She's a duchess of the Fall Court
Age: She thinks she's about 5,500 years old.
Personality (Fae type has effect): Some say she should be of the winter court, for there are rumors of her ruthlessness. While she does have her moments, especially when unsuspecting humans find their way into the deepest parts of her woods, she reserves her true wrath on the ones who thinks they can take her forest from her. Otherwise she is serene, and even tempered. She enjoys life, and all that it brings.
Appearance: If she ever puts on a glamour(which she so rarely does), her skin and hair and eyes are the color of her bark. To match current time, she'll usually wear a green sleeveless blouse, a dark fur coat, dark jeans, and black boots. Otherwise, she's either an Ash tree, or in her Fae form, she's green with ivy climbing her body.
Background: Not much is known about Meliae, except that she's inhabited and ruled the Taiga forests for as long as most can remember. She was there long before the humans, at least. She doesn't come to court except when it's required of her, and holds her own court within the deepest parts of her forests. Her territory has been quite cut down, she now only rules parts of Russia, although she now rules them with an iron fist.

Name:Max Oscar Napras

Race: Human

Position: He's hiding out right now, but will most likely run into some fae soon.

Age:13

Personality: Though you wouldn't expect it of somebody who got so lost in the woods that they wound up in another dimension, Max is extremely intelligent, but not in your typical book smart way. Max is adaptable to most situations, and can talk himself out of pretty much anything. He previously used this skill to narrowly avoid punishment for the antics he would engage in, it will now prove useful in hopefully avoiding death or worse from Fae that he'll run into. Besides that, Max is a very social person, and will more than likely find the greatest difficulty in not having any other people to talk to while stuck in this realm. In the two weeks he's been here, this has already eroded part of his mental stability. He's still functioning well, but he's definitely on edge. The biggest thing he cares about in the end however, is himself. In a life or death situation, he will take any and all necessary actions to ensure his own safety and life.

Appearance: Max is short, even for his age, standing at around 5'1, and has a light tan, but is still clearly Caucasian. He also has long black hair that sweeps behind his head and down his neck. Sadly for Max, he's stuck in the clothes that he was wearing when he showed up the the Fae world. These clothes are now a stained green T-shirt, that's starting to get holes in the back of it, which are growing larger by the day. His pants are a pair of blue jeans, which are now muddy, and torn on the bottoms of the pant legs.

Background: Max was born into a normal middle class family, with a mostly unremarkable early childhood. The biggest thing that always made him standout however, was his tendency to get himself in... unpleasant situations for his parents. The time in preschool where he maybe convinced the other kids to start digging a grave for their preschool teacher at recess, The time where he almost certainly didn't get their pet Shih Tzu stuck in a tree, and nobody could forget about the time he had a few of his friends have a surprise game of hide and seek in the woods... Yeah, nobody could forget that, since he never came back out. It was that night, he ended up leaving the humans to join the Fae, and ever since then, he's been fending for himself in the forest, trying just to survive, and find a way back home. It's been two weeks of that though, and he's going to need to get to some form of civilization soon, or he's going to lose it, either mentally, or from pure exposure to the elements.

Name: Melody 'Songstress' Kinto

Race: Human

Position: On the run from the authorities, obviously.

Age: 30

Personality: Melody is heartless, cruel, and obviously dangerous. She knows nothing about remorse, and has no qualms about slitting someone's throat, regardless of who it is. By definition, she's a serial killer, perhaps one of the most wanted ones of this generation and possibly this era. She doesn't value life and sees everyone as expendable.

Appearance: Melody is five-eight and a half with green eyes and long red hair, she's fit and slightly muscular, allowing her to run for long periods of time and lift at least twice her body weight. She tends to wear black clothing, typically made of leather, but she does happen to have a few non-leather outfits. She always wears her trademark, custom made, black leather trench coat. The coat was designed to have hidden pockets inside the jacket for knives or other such sharp objects. She has a pair of holsters strapped to her lower back, which obviously hold her two favorite handguns.

Background: Melody's past remains a mystery, she's never become close to another person, and if she has, they're likely not alive anymore to talk about it. Her name became known to the world when the news reported a triple homicide involving the CEO of a major company, the calling card left at the scene were titles of songs on a CD. This caused the media to call her the Songstress, a name that stuck despite the authorities' attempts to deter this result. As the years passed, Melody perfected her craft, eventually learning how to enter high security locations and escape without being noticed. She's the perfect killer, except for one little thing, she's slightly unstable mentally.

Name: Maržena Mirėlis Šaltis (aka: Marzanna, Morė, Morana, Morena, Marzannie, Marmora, Mara)

Race: Unidentified (Yukionna Mother + Nightmare Father + Complex Fae Genetics = Marzanna)

Position: Queen of the Unseelie Winter Court.

Age: Around 3,500 years

Personality: Marzanna can seem a little cold at first, especially to those she dislikes; however, she is extremely loyal and protective of those she loves and puts her trust in. She has difficulty at times handling and accepting certain emotions.

Some would describe her personality in a matter of ways: Intelligent, Remorseless, Stoic, Articulate, Calm, Secretive, Authoritative, and Perceptive, being just a few choice words. She can be rather selfish when it comes to self preservation.

She does not trust or forgive easily, and betraying her is the worst possible thing, as she very rarely has tolerance for those who brake their words to her. She also has no tolerance for those that disrespect her. She has been known to go to great lengths to make those that betray her suffer. As she has no qualms about revenge or getting even. She will hit you where it hurts most, and can be very merciless. Overall she is nether good or evil, but mainly self-serving.

Appearance: She has pointed ears, and angular facial features. Marzanna has a dark olive complexion, with golden undertones. Her hair is black. But like a ravens feather, her hair can, in different light, appear to have a blue, dark red, purple, or green tints. Her eyes are a warm honey color, and have a metallic sheen to them under moonlight. She stands at 5'11", with a willowy elegant build.

She has a wide range of glamours. Different ages and ethnicity. Usually she takes the form of a beautiful human female, but on other occasions she might take the appearance of a black stallion, cat, or angelic child. Depending on the time period and place, she adapts a glamour to fit her needs. Over the last 800 years she has accumulated a handful favorites that she typically sticks to.

Her main Glamour is the same as the first one she ever dawned over 4,000 years ago, aka her original Glimmer. A pretty human version of herself. Sporting less angular features, natural human colorings, no pointy ears, gentler expressions, and standing around 5'6" in height.

Background: Marzanna's parents were in many ways star-crossed. Her father, Keonhir, was an old Fall Court noble, who came from a very influential family of dream controlling fae, and was already engaged to someone else. Her mother, Bothilda, was a young Yukionna fae of the Winter Court, who was without titles or any prestige. They met during a winter festival, and fell in lust at first sight. Infatuation and passion was mistaken for love, and they ran off together. Keonhir thus leaving behind his enraged fiance, and oppressive family.

Three years later Marzanna was born into the Winter Court. She was a odd mix of her parents. Physically she resembled her father more, with the dark skin and angular features of the Nightmare fae. But Marzanna also took after her mother, when it came to her black hair and yellowish eyes. As far as her fae abilities went, she was a odd, weaker combination, of both Yukionna and Nightmare fae. She could make things colder, make it snow around her, freeze things into ice, turn dreams into nightmares, and she intuitively knew peoples fears.

Interestingly enough both her parents, though completely different races of Fae, were both of the same 'bringer of human death' type. As Yukionna freeze and suck the life out of humans, Nightmares terrify and scare the life force out of mortals. So with all the complexities that are Fae genetics, Marzanna had unique abilities of her own, pertaining to death. She could see/talk to human spirits, not unlike the Psychopomps fae, and she could also sense when someone would soon die, from untreated/terminal illness, diseases, or wounds, all she had to do was touch your skin.

When she was 50 years old (equivalent - 5 year old human) her parents passion died out, and they went their separate ways. Keonhir returned back to his bitter family, with hope of redeeming his position in the Fall court. Bothilda found herself popular among the Winter court, and sought enjoyment in collecting peoples 'true' names. Marzanna in the end chose to go live with her father, on his family estate. Even though she was not apart of the Fall Court, she was still welcomed. For a short time she was considered quite a spectacle, as mixed race Fae were extremely more rare in that time.

Time went on she grew older, and as a fae teenager she joined her mother in Winter Court. Her father had become known as the Casanova of the Fall Court, so needless to say her early upbringing was...nontraditional. Her time in Winter Court, with her mother, was more enjoyable then she expected it to be. She made friends with quite a few nobles, and more importantly with Bramden, the young winter king in that time. She would go on to gain the title of countess.

Her first time in the human world was memorable. Putting on a simple Glimmer and wondering around a human village, she met a boy named Odis, who would later become a Winter-Born fae under her guidance. She became well known in the human world, worshiped as a deity in parts of eastern Europe, and later in parts of southern america. The goddess Marzanna, they called her among many other names.

She was young in fae terms. Naively, she fell in love with a fae man named Daxbore. Unfortunately he was of the Summer court, and her complete opposite. She hated herself for loving him, even when it was apparent that he did not see her the same way. The century long friendship didn't end well, as Daxbore's ex-wife, Zaltina, tried to poison Marzanna, thinking she was the reason for their divorce. And after much more drama, and confusion Doxbore blamed Marzanna for all his misfortunes. Thus there friendship ended, and she grew to dislike him for the summer idiot he was.

Around 8th century BC, her good friend the Winter King Bramden told her of his plan to dethrone the old winter queen, and have Marzanna take her place. She was against it, having never wanted the position, but who was she to deny a king. She had the majority of the Unseelie Fae's support, as she was quite the hostess, her title of countess, and her notoreity in the human world was ever growing. So began the two century long campaign. The inner turmoil of the winter court was something for the history books. In 6th century BC, Marzanna became Queen of the winter court, ruling beside her good friend King Bramden.

She took the position of Queen quite seriously, and was a rather popular ruler. King Bramden later reveled to her that he had wished to be the only ruler of the Winter Court. That he had used Marzanna's favor among the Unseelie, since he needed the support in order to dethrone the last queen. Support that he did not have on his own. So he had thought that using Marzanna's esteem, would gain him more power and favor, and he had thought to make her abdicate once they won. Learning that she had been used, she was pissed, and so ended that friendship. Feeling betrayed she began planing her revenge. Taking away what he wanted most, seemed appealing. Killing him was to merciful. What Bramden really wanted was the throne to himself, so she was going to take it away from him.

In summery she was able to take him down completely by 2nd century BC. With decades of planning, she ruined his reputation, destroyed his political power, turned his friends against him, took over as the predominate leader, and overthrew his military strength with her own, without practically any bloodshed. Marzanna then was the sole ruler of the winter court for the next 500 years. This period of time would be considered the height of her reign, as she took it upon herself to be the best Winter Queen possible. Over time she came to learn that being Queen was not her thing, as the stress, responsibility, and restrictions didn't mesh well with who she was. But she could not just abandoned the throne, so she sought out a partner, a King to rule beside her. It had to be someone she trusted, which narrowed her choices to less then a handful of people.

Odis the Winter-born fae, would do well. He was like a brother to her. And so in the the 3rd century AC, she used her power as Queen to make Odis her king. It was not a popular move, to have a winter-born on the throne, someone who was once human, but it was done. Marzanna quickly shoved all the responsibility onto Odis, and happily basked in her new freedoms. Her appearances became less and less at court, until she altogether stopped going, only showing up to official meetings once in awhile.

In the 9th century AC, an Earl named Übel was able to trick Marzanna into reveling her 'true' Name to him. She would later find out that Übel had help from the vengeful Bramden (who she later killed). With control over Marzanna, Übel effectively became King, after killing Odis. He was considered mighty during the early decades of his reign. The winter court preferred him over the late king Odis. Marzanna was queen only in name, as Übel used his control over her to his liking. This would be her life for the next 300 years until, a Gremlin called Haeson, started moving his way up in the world, becoming a Baron. She liked him right off the bat. He served the king methodically.

Though she was still under Übel control, the king had gotten bored with her, so she was left to her own devises. And so began her planning, on a way to get ride of Übel. Her first plan failed, as she underestimated him. She had tried the poison rout, only before he even took a sip of the wine, he smiled maliciously at her, and order the prisoner to be brought in. The prisoner being Marzanna's own mother Bothilda. He decapitated her right in front of Marzanna, laughed and said that he hoped the queen had learned her lesson, as he pored the poisoned wine onto her mothers body.

Kept confined to her chambers for over a year, all she wanted was Übel to die painfully, and completely. Time went on and in 1880, Übel began to show signs of paranoia and weakness befitting of a winter king. She had been doing her best to start rumors, and other more devious things. Secretly messing with Übel mind. His weaknesses and abnormal behavior was becoming more and more apparent to the Winter Courts people, and even to the people of the other courts. Outrage, blame, and anger swept through the palace, all pointed at Übel. Haeson expressed his hatred of the weak King, and Marzanna joined with him. Giving any support needed to kill the king with his demon of a sword.

By 1958, Haeson had succeeded in cutting down Übel, and claiming the throne for himself. Now its been 50 years, and Marzanna and Haeson reign over the winter court together.
