[OOC] The Omega Project

[Amelian Draco]

Grayshire, was once a small peaceful town on the American east coast. Now hardly any of the small town remains. You see two months ago a terrorist group dropped a bomb in the center of the town, but it didn't explode. At least not in the way you would think. The bomb released some form of chemical, and that chemical changed people. It made it where people could do crazy things. Things like throw cars and dodge bullets. Appearntly there was even a man who could control shadows.

Sadly it wasn't the residents who caused the distribution of Grayshire. You see the government felt uneasy about such a large group of people being too powerful to control. Within a week, of what is now called the Gray Bomb dropping, Grayshire was burned to the ground. Though many where able to escape, including myself.
The man in the white mask was on every screen in Time Square. He now held held his hand up as fire circled it.

He gets cut off as the Time Square screens returned to normal.

In that two months many people's lives had changed forever. Some just hid their powers the best they could, trying to be apart of the normal again. Others joined gangs cense being out in public would cause a scene. Some joined with other supers. Thinking that there would be strength in numbers, though that strength was not always used for good.

Some of these people's powers came from items that somehow absorbed the chemical. Giving the person with it ether extra powers or gave them to someone without powers.

The Omega Project is a superpower rp based in New York City in the near future, so its not much different. It is mostly about a group of survivors trying to ether control their powers, survive, or both. I would like to have mostly heroes and anti-heroes, but I will alow some villains. TMIWM (the man in the white mask) is also available, but I must be pmed once the actual rp is up. I will alow each person to have two characters each if they wish.

As for the items, you can only have one item. These items can be almost anything. For example the character I will be using was having eye surgery. The eye implant was effected by the Gray Bomb going off. Please post your CS in OOC so I can look over it before posting it in the character tab

Name: Tia Centeros

Super Powered Name: Goes by many depending on who she's speaking to. A choice few:
Lorelei
Lilith
Bloody Mary, etc.

Power(s): Blood Consumption, Blood Siphoning, Haemokinesis(personal manipulation of blood), and Osteokinesis(personal manipulation of bones).

Power Item: N/A

Appearance: Tia's got long black hair that reaches to the backs of her knees with a long blue highlight that goes along with it. Her ears are twisted and elongated, ending in a point that tucks itself behind her hair so as to maintain a semi-normal appearance. Her eyes are a rich chocolate shade, and decently large. Typically after the consumption of blood, her eyes begin to glow bright red and they narrow.

Deathly pale skin, with a bit of a peach-y hue. Her tongue is a dark-blueish black, which can be hard to notice if you aren't right in her face. Often wears cross earrings. On Tia's palms, when she's using her powers or attempting to siphon blood from someone, mouths grow that are near exact copies of her mouth. These mouths, however, do have sharp canines to a degree.

As for clothing, Tia wears mostly dresses and skirts. She has an odd preference for stockings and will wear them with most any ensemble. Along with that, there's typically a knife strapped to her thigh hidden by her clothing for use in case she needs a bit of non-powered protection.

Allegiance: Anti-Hero

Personality: It's not a stretch to say that Tia will do a lot of things for money. She's quite greedy, and enjoys the thrill of stealing, heisting, lifting, you get the drift. If you turn your back to her, more often than not, she will steal your wallet or anything else valuable on you. She's also quite flirtatious both towards men and women, and enjoys watching people react to her advances. Tia feels that personal space is a myth, and tends to say everything in a tone no higher than a whisper.

When it comes to her powers, and the powers of others, she quite enjoys being superpowered and uses it to her advantage whenever she possibly can. Although she'll tell you this and do so proudly, she'll have a hint of sadness in her eyes that might betray the message she's conveying.

If Tia was a sin, she would be Pride. She's very proud of her bodily form, her abilities, as well as her skills in terms of thievery. Although, as previously mentioned, Tia WILL do many things for money. So even though she's quite open with her status as a thief, she has no problem working for the "right" side, as long as they can give her a convincing argument or shell out the right amount of cash to get her legs moving.

Personality: Elijah is one of those people who can't seem to keep himself together. He has good morals and ideals, but it's common for his emotions and fears to get the better of him, especially in times like these. When Elijah steps into his "People Person" persona, he can be a very cheerful, charismatic and understanding person. Balancing the side of him that he shows others and the side of him that he shows himself, is one of his greatest struggles. Elijah can seem like a a very happy person, which he can be, but because he has this excessive care for what others think of him, he bottles up his feelings in order to make sure the people around him are okay.

History: Elijah grew up in the lower class. He was and only child being raised by a single mother. His mother , however, was a recovering alcoholic who was trying to put her life back together. His mother tried her hardest to be the best mother she could be, and for that, Elijah set aside his feelings about her alcohol addiction and encouraged her to get help. Because of her addiction, Elijah's mother couldn't keep a job for more than a month. This was incredibly difficult when it came to paying rent. His mothers on and off alcoholism went on for years.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" Is a question Elijah was asked often, but he rarely thought about. he didn't care where he worked, as long as he could help out his mother make ends meet, he would be satisfied. Eventually luck came his way when he found a part-time job at a grocery store in the next city over. After a few short years, Elijah and his mother move into an affordable place in the city that Elijah worked in, the city of Grayshire. The city seemed quaint, which was perfect for the two of them. things were finally starting to look up for them.

On the day of the Gray Bomb incident, Elijah was working at the store until closing at midnight. That night was as ordinary as any other. When he arrived home his mother made a late night dinner than went to bed, Elijah followed suit after he ate. That next morning would change his life forever. Elijah woke up to see his mother packing everything she could into a single suitcase. She wasted no time explaining the situation to Elijah. Elijah went into his room and started packing as much things as he could. They had both rushed out of the house and drove out of the city to the closest train station. They bought tickets to New York City, the plan behind that was simple; in a city that big, who could find two people among the millions?

Elijah stood in New York City. The feeling of being overwhelmed by everything started to subside as he composed himself. From the moment his mother told him about the government troops raiding the city, to the time he got to New York, everything was a blur. Even one of the most important things...His mother was no longer at his side.

Personality: Curious and cautious are the best words to describe Amelia. She's got an insatiable curiosity and drive to know things, especially when it comes to something in her immediate environment. However, "curiosity killed the cat" has not applied to her for years, her cautious (and sometimes even timid) nature taking the forefront. Self-preservation and safety are high on her list when it comes to learning, so if she can't learn it from a book, she's not likely to pursue the knowledge. She has a strong sense of order, too, even if hers can come across as a little chaotic.

History: Born and raised in Grayshire, Amelia knew from the start that the quiet life she'd been born into was all she wanted. Sure, she had to go to the city to further her education, but living in a small town was comfortable and part of her dream for the future. Most of her time was spent helping her neighbours - the other residents of Grayshire - and volunteering at the local veterinary clinic. Her family consisted of her parents, her older brother, and her younger brother. Jacob, her older brother, had gone to the California to pursue a career in film, while their younger brother Terrence was still finishing high school.

When the Gray Bomb dropped, Amelia didn't notice an immediate difference. She felt overwhelmed, and the odor in the air was making her sick. She had hurried home to check on her family, trouble already brewing in the streets, and had discovered her father dead of a heart attack, and her mother trying to console Terry, but not coming close enough to touch him. Veins like lava were clear on him, and she swears her heart stopped for a full minute as she stood in the doorway, taking in the scene. She hurried and got a bowl of cool water and rags to put on Terry's skin, their mother hitting full-on hysterics as the faucet shot from its fixture and ricocheted in the kitchen. Whatever had been dropped on their town, Amelia had never felt fear like she did then.

Amelia wasn't home when the government's forces moved in on their town. She'd been at the grocery store, looking at nail files for her suddenly much longer, much sharper nails, and buying canned food in case anything was contaminated by the odorous gas. Everything fell to chaos so quickly, she's not sure who pulled her to safety through an emergency exit that had her ears ringing for a good hour after they'd left, but she wishes she could've gone back for Terrence. Her hopes have been dashed of finding him in New York City, hoping their catatonic mother had sprung to action and helped him, but her burning brother is nowhere to be found. Being in the city has Amelia constantly on edge, and she's starting to wonder if the claws she's gained aren't the only thing about her that's changed.

Personality: David has always been a quiet person. He's fairly socially anxious, and would just rather be left alone then have to deal with people most of the time. However, when it comes to the few people David is comfortable around, or when his is just plain alone, he's a bit of a sentimental guy. When he isn't busy trying to be the emotionless shadow he is in crowds, he can be quite the sap.

History: David was born and raised in Greyshire, although few his age would ever recognize him. With the exception of the small group of friends he had, David did everything he could to ensure that he was left alone. For some reason, he just never seemed to want to deal with most people. He was an only child, and his parents never thought much of his reclusive tendencies. Although he still attended college during the year, he still preferred the quiet and lack of people in Greyshire.

When the bomb came down, David had been walking around in the park. At first, he thought his life was flashing before his eyes, and he was seeing how things could have been. However, he also started to see things that hadn't happened yet. Certain he was going crazy, David ran home, and cowered in his room.

When David woke up the next morning, he noticed several things. First, the weird visions he had weren't as intense when his glasses were off. Secondly, he now occasionally was catching glimpses of things that shouldn't be there; things that didn't belong where they were but no one noticed. Certain he was going crazy, David began to distance himself more and more from his friends and family.

The night before the government's forces arrived, David had his most vivid vision yet. He saw what would happen to his friends. His family. His home. He also saw that if he couldn't make himself suddenly disappear, he would die too. To this day, David doesn't know how he managed to teleport that first time. However, after gathering his things and thinking long and hard about where to go, he suddenly found himself at his aunt and uncle's apartment in New York. To this day, David doesn't know if what he did was right. However, all he knows now is that in between his powers, the government, and a huge city of people he doesn't know, David just wants to dissapear
