I don't want to rush you, but keeping to the 3 day time-limit in this fight would provide us with something like five posts each, taking out one introduction post, that would be a lacklustre fight indeed.

@MelonHead A bit of a minor discrepancy, but in your intro post you stated three vials then proceeded to list four. Three with the mana stuff, one empty.

Yeah, I must have written three rather than four by accident. Would you like me to edit the three to a four? As I then went on to specifically list them it's not a factor of me changing the amount later on.

This should be interesting. Get to see a rare gun fight in the Arena.

Fun Fact: Center of Mass shots are the most none-lethal and possess the highest survival chance. The more you know!

The highest survival chance of what, any gunshot?

You'd have to cite that source, sounds like bullshit to me.

On average the centre of mass is pretty much dead on your lower torso, which is basically the definition of a 'gut shot' which was widely fatal back in the day. Nowadays it's not that bad if modern medical attention is quickly obtained. You'd definitely struggle to heal from it naturally, unlike many gunshot wounds to the arms and legs which can be almost completely harmless if they miss arteries, or the hands and feet.

Generally in a gun fight you want something to be immediately fatal. Makes sense anyway. If the guy does not go down right away, he's free to return fire on you before he goes down. Not ideal.

Khan there are a slew of factors involved in firing center mass on a target. Caliber, bullet type, and where center mass you are firing. You are correct any bullect can be fatal but not all bullets are fatal. Some center mass shots will take your opponent out of a fight but not kill them, while others can kill.

I tend to fire at centre of mass in Arena because I know no one is ever going to stand around and take it anyway, though from that article it sounds like someone could convincingly just stand there and take the shot with little to no consequences in the short term. I still refute your initial claim that it's the best place to be shot, but I suppose it isn't as bad as I assumed, if the article is to be believed at any rate. I was more convinced by a medical document I read saying gut shots had about an 88% survival chance.

I should also point out I rarely if ever shoot to kill in Arena,
1. because it would be a shitty way to end a fight
2. Few people would ever take the hit

Everything related to firearms depends on multiple factors. Each gunfight is different but generally unless you hit the brain or neck or snap the spine most assailants can fight back even when shot.

Bullets are a bit too random for my taste either way. One of the reasons I don't like them in the arena. Aesthetically cool and all, but no one is going to be able to refute the fatality of getting their head cut off or surviving being bisected with a chainsaw.

No one can refute the fatality of a hollow point mushrooming inside a chest cavity either. Again in a gunfight everything depends on a multitude of factors.

I think someone did survive a hollow-point round to the chest at ten feet actually. Though I might remember wrong.

At least this has convinced me that guns probably don't need to be nerfed as much as people might think.

Lol Khan you NEVER fire one shot. You tap twice and move ready to fire again if need be. If you only fire once you are ill prepared to survive a gunfight.

We're talking about pistols here, swap any of these remarks with shotgun or rifle or barrage of rifle rounds and everything changes pretty rapido.

Speaking of nerfed firearms, my character's weapon using an archaic hammer-style one shot system, and has four rounds a 'mag' what are the limitations on DJ's dual pistols? It seems like they have no ammo constrictions with the magic rounds.

Some pistols can also use larger calibers. So not much difference except accuracy at long distance and rate of fire.

What the F do I know, I don't use gun characters. Just going by the rate of fire for this fight so far.

Its pathetic I want more booms.

Depends on the rifle, caliber, distance. Also I am working on a gun tutorial. Already had Rilla and Fallen read the rough draft.
