City of the Night -:- They Walk Among Us -:- There Are Others -:- The Chase
They told us we were special. That we had freedom. And how naive of us to believe it.
The year is 2098, humanity is on the verge of an apocalypse, and we are the ones chosen to preserve mankind. Well, at least hide away until everyone else dies. We, we are clones. Reanimated corpses with different identities printed onto them. And we're kept in camps, locked away from the war outside. Unfortunately, also locked away from humanity. We live like robots, all following the same routine, at the exact same time. Not a nanosecond out of place. We're controlled, you see, with strange chips that they inserted into us. It can easily take over our body, and even our subconscious, practically handing over our souls to the government. But there are some, like me, who've found out how to counter the effects. We're the defects, as the workboys call us. The different ones. Which is ironic considering we're the living dead, moulded to replicate those still living. They tossed us aside, and now we're outside in the remains of what once was the United Kingdom of America. But we broke free. And so did all the other subjects. We stripped them of their imprisonment; removed their chips. But it didn't prove to be as good an idea as we thought. A war broke out - clones vs humans. Some of us went to the human side, but most of the clones became violent and stayed on the clone side. The government that held us in the camp were murdered when we broke free, but those few who managed to make it out helped the good clones and remaining humans in the struggle against their superior kind.
We set up camp not long after the war started, and created it as a safe haven for those still alive. We kept expanding on it, and managed to recreate an entire building located in the center of the ruined city. So far we've only had one attack, but I think by then the clones realised that they're going to need a lot more than their abnormal strength and agility to get in. The ration system in our camp is fairly good, and we keep everyone hydrated and well nourished. If we keep on like this we'll be able to continue for at least another four months. However, we're constantly finding new survivors and bringing them in. If this continues, we won't be able to survive. We're all afraid that we'll have to start denying them entry. It's already happened twice.
The story of the first installment of Clones takes place in the year 2098, where war has hit the United Kingdom of America, and the government has created clones to ensure mankind's survival. These clones are reanimated bodies shaped into the identity of someone already alive. However, clones aren't just the living dead - they have abnormal powers. The default powers for all clones is that they have superhuman strength, speed and agility, but from then on all powers vary. Some can have the ability to control the weather, whilst others can read minds. All in all, the government created clones durable enough so they could survive the war raging on.
The United Kingdom of America is an alliance made by the UK and the US in the year of 2076. With the advancement in technology, they managed to create a machine that could move the UK over to the US and have the two islands interlock. It worked, and so spawned a union between the Americans and the British. They live side by side now, with some Britons in America and some Americans in Britain. They also decided to spread the NHS across to America (though since 2015 their healthcare had far improved and was a blessing to the US).
The war that started the clone project was sparked by the UK and the US' bond. Europe deemed it unfair that the smallest island in the entire continent was to join a bond with America, but not the rest of Europe. France and Italy both declared war, their armies merging in order to combat the new army that the UKA (United Kingdom of America) had formed. The war raged on for years and years, 22 to be exact, yet the UKA still refused to form an alliance with the continent that had just attacked them. This caused the clone project to be launched in the year 2094, the project eventually being greenlit in 2095 and having its success in the cloning procedure in 2097.

Hello and congratulations! You made it to the bottom of the page!
Okay, so maybe it's not that hard, but still! If you've read everything in full detail, then I thank you very much. It means a lot to me to be able to express my passion and imagination through this website, and gain some new friends along the way. Before I let you guys go off and create your marvellous concoctions, I do have to tell you the dreaded rules.
- No godmodding. Godmodding is when a person brings in a power that doesn't fit with lore, or makes the playing field unbalanced. (E.G: Invincibility, mind control or any other god-like abilities)
- No autohitting. This is absolutely one of my pet peeves. I'll just give you a wrong and right example for this one:
Wrong example - "Sally hit Jack's nose."/"George ran past the security guards."
Right example - "Sally swung at Jack, the punch aimed for his nose."/"George sprinted to the middle of the security guards in an attempt to get past them." - No metagaming. Metagaming is when the player discovers something about a character OOC, and then their character miraculously knows it IC.
- No powerplaying. Powerplaying is when you take control of another person's character. It also slightly goes under the autohitting category, as an example of powerplaying could be: "John kicked Dan so fast that he couldn't react.". The correct version would be: "John kicked Dan with such speed that it was unlikely that he'd dodge it without superhuman speed.".
- Even though clones can have powers, don't make them overpowered. They're a clone with some artificially made powers, not Superman.
- Yes, it is the future, but there are not super-mega-laser cannons that can obliterate an entire building. It's just like powerplaying and autohitting - you've got to be careful.
- When you've created a character, do not post it in the Character Tab, even when I've approved it. I will post all character applications into the Character Tab, so I can work my polished effect magic.
- HAVE FUN!!!
