Zeke glanced over at his half-sister who had taken a seat next to him. He wasn't really in the mood to talk, but if there was anyone he could talk to about this whole mess, it was her. He leaned as far back as he could, his back unusually slump, further revealing his awful mood. He opened his mouth in attempt to say something, but the words didn't come out. He was humiliated, hurt, and angry. If he was in his apartment, he would be breaking a dozen punching bags right about now. He took a deep breath and tried again.
"...I... Clar.... She... This guy..." he mumbled incoherently. Well, at least he was getting some words out this time.
Before he could fully say anything to explain why he was so upset, a dark-haired girl approached the siblings, handing him his jacket. He gave her a weak-spirited smile.
"Oh, thanks..." he said in a low, husky voice.
"You can keep it on if you're cold. I don't get cold too easily..." Actually, he normally did not need a jacket. He usually wore it just for the looks of it, or in case a pretty girl was 'feeling cold'. Though right now, he was not really in the mood to flirt. He appreciated the girl's kindness anyways.
"So, I guess you saw everything, huh?" he sighed, exasperated.
"Let me just catch my beloved Sister up to speed. So tonight I told Clarissa how I felt about her and things were going great... until I left her for one second and came back to see her making out with another guy. I really should have seen it coming. I really am an idiot, aren't I? Anyways, so I pushed the guy and eventually came out here to clear my head."Realizing that his sister may take this as a sign to destroy Clarissa, he added,
"Stella, don't do anything. I know you want to protect me and get revenge for me because I'm your 'little brother' and all, but it's really not cool if my older sister fights my battles, you know?" He straightened himself back up, feeling a bit better now that he talked about it. He turned to Corinthe and asked.
"Want me to walk you back to the party or wherever? Just as a thanks for coming all the way out here for my jacket." He ran his fingers through his blond hair, shyly. He was embarrassed that a girl he didn't know had to see him like this. After all, he had a reputation to maintain.

Delilah gave a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, you're okay. Let me see your injuries. I have some bandages and stuff in my purse, thankfully." she said, already getting the first aid-kit out of her bag. She then began to disinfect his cuts.
"Sorry if this stings a little...""No it's fine, " Jay said softly, wincing his eyes from the discomfort he felt each time the cloth touched his injuries.
After a few minutes of disinfecting and placing band-aids, she was somewhat satisfy with her work. But now she had to make sure he didn't have a concussion or anything.
"My name is Delilah, most people call me Lilah," she said, introducing herself formally before she asked some basic questions. It was the polite thing to do.
"Do you know your name and where you are right now?" "Delilah, it's nice to meet you," Jay said smiling,
"I'm Jay," he said,
"I'm at the party."She gave him a soft smile.
"Jay, nice to meet you too. Okay, I think it's safe to say that you do not have a concussion, so yay!" She clapped her hands in delight. Then he helped him back up to his feet.
"You're not dizzy or anything, right? Do you want me to get you a cup of water, or maybe some ice?" She hoped that he didn't think she was smothering him or anything. She was genuinely worried about his well-being, though she did not understand what had happened. But she will ask about that later once everything was settled. She did not want to pry in anything that wasn't her business.
"I don't think there's any water left," Jay joked, his laugh short as one hand lightly gesturing to the collapsed table and the other to his clothing,
"but thank you," he smiled.
"Oh, right. Haha! My bad," she giggled awkwardly. She was starting to feel a bit stupid but she did her best not to show it.
Though he still have a killer headache, Jay seemed to have gotten off lucky. The patching up that Delilah had done to his cuts and scrapes made him feel better. Granted, he still felt pain on his body, which was to be expected, but he didn't seem to feel as much pain, so that was a plus. Though, there was still the matter of Clarissa and how she was the middle of all of this.Jay didn't know how he would approach her about this. He didn't even know if he would now.
"I should probably say something to her.." Jay said suddenly, though his voice was low. It wasn't low enough that it would be inaudible, but it wasn't necessarily loud, either.
She focused her attention over to Clarissa who seemed to be busy talking to Vi about something. Delilah bit her lower lip as she turned back to Jay.
"Okay, cool. I'll just leave you to it. I'll see you around?" she said, though she was unsure whether or not that was the right move.
"Oh, yeah sure, " Jay said surprised. He thought she didn't hear what he thought he said to himself,
"Yeah, you'll definitely see me at school - I mean, if I'm not the pariah of the academy," Yup, that's what he was fearing tomorrow, but that wasn't his focus at the moment.
Deciding to leave the two to talk, she took a place next to Vi and whispered to her,
"I think we should get going. I'm sure they have a lot to discuss and we shouldn't bother them."
