*Image*: N/a
*Description*: Appears most typically as a tall, slim, white man in his late 30's with brown hair and blue brown eyes. Nobody is actually sure if this is what he really looks like, or if it's another of his disguises. In all of his disguises, however, he wears a small silver necklace with a stamped deer charm on it. John has disguised himself as everything from a beautiful young woman to an octogenarian man. Whatever his disguise, John will try and carry a bag holding more disguises.
*Name*: Personal contact card says his name is John Doe. He possesses multiple I.Ds and bank accounts under various aliases.
*Age*: Presumably late 30's, though nobody really knows. His aliases range in age.
*Archetype*: Con Artist/Forger
*Skilz*:
-Master of Disguise: John can pretend to be anyone he wishes to be, and will be convincing while doing it. He can change his voice, his gait, and his mannerisms until he would be unrecognizable. John is also an expert at physical deception, with a wardrobe full of disguises, letting him physically become someone else.
-Forger: If you need official looking papers, John can provide them. He can create anything from antique sheepskin scrolls to the most fool-proof government electronic authentication chip, though he is best at forging modern paper documents.
-Con Artist: Capable of making you sell your own mother, John is an excellent scammer, and can rob somebody blind and make them think that they walked away getting the better side of the deal. While he's handy with lock-picking, both physical and electronic, his favorite way of robbing somebody blind is through convincing them that it's a good idea. He's also something of a cut-purse, though he's only skilled to a middling degree.
*Attributes*: Enigmatic, guileful, charming.
*Equipment*:
'businessman official' costume: suit, tie, slacks, bulky briefcase. Tie and sports jacket are reversible, briefcase holds various wigs and other disguises. His shoes have inflatable heels to make him look taller.
Electroshock dart gun pistol: shoots darts that, instead of tranquilizing agents, zap targets with 25,000 volts. The darts are rechargeable, and run off a lithium-air battery. The range is limited compared to traditional firearms, though it is absolutely silent. The dart releases the electricity through three prongs at the front of the dart. The shock is released upon the prongs entering something, and will send pulsing shocks for the next 10 seconds before shutting off. It is registered under John Doe, and has all proper paperwork to support it.
*Bio*:
Although John has worked to completely erase his past, a few rumors have survived his censorious actions.
What is known about John, his actual name is unknown, is that he was born in one of Polis's slums, and faced violence on the streets everyday. His family life is a complete unknown, though he says that they had next to nothing. Living in poverty, John turned to stealing to get what he needed. But he wasn't fast enough to run from pursuers, or strong enough to intimidate someone into letting him take their belongings. But he was clever and charming enough that he could trick someone into letting him have what he wanted without complaint. All of this is something that John will readily admit to. He kept this up well into his late teens, sticking to small, one time cons on tourists. John then left Polis, and the only thing that could be found that could be linked to him was a randomly archived 3 second clip of a young man with a similar build to John getting on a bus leaving Polis.
A decade after he had left, a string of homicides shook Polis, contracts being divvied up to unconnected hit men in the Circuit. They all had been contracted by "Reggie I. Pleasure", a mobile bank account that had been paid for with cash from an out-of-Polis street vendor. Effectively untraceable, the killings seemed to have no connection with one another, other than the client.
John Doe returned to Polis three months later. He's been in Polis for two years now, and other than a close circle of acquaintances and business partners in the Circuit, he is virtually unknown.
Just the way he likes it.
