The phoenix had seen the male approaching long before he had seen her sitting on the roof of the tavern, before he had registered that the fire could bring down the entirety of the small pocket dimension that they sat in now. The least expected action of his was the one he had taken, making an attempt to climb up onto the roof before sliding back again, ultimately falling off of the edge. Clearly no rogue, nor a wood elf, given his balance. With a single swift movement, she leaned forward, heels gripping the slanted roof, as she reached out and caught the mans arm with the flaming hand. Her arm was no warm, not did the fire catch, as she lifted him up with unlikely strength and let go as soon as he was back on the roof.
"Shouldn't climb if you can't balance." Was all she said, her unwelcoming demeanor showing as it always had. She wasn't much of a talker, not with strangers at the very least, though if someone could get her to open up there would be countless stories she could tell, about all the places she'd been and the wars she fought. The Hero's that she had drank with, unaware that she was there when they were born. She'd spoken with gods, hunted Hydras.
