[OOC] Magica and Machina

I know you guys are full, but you seem to have an overwhelming number of tech users over magic users. Do you mind if I tipped the scale back the other way?

@Zobozun Cortex can replicate any kind of energy. Magica does not coincide with science and of the Machina. Magica is Magica, it's more of a life force if you had to call it something. Not an energy. So no, Cortex can't replicate Magica, as Magica is it's own entity really apart from all other energies.

@Descartes Give me a few to think on it. I have a lot of CS and still have not started the IC. If I can get a co-GM and have them split the group in half, make two separate parties, then yes.

Wait, isn't the plot centered around characters interacting with one another? Why would we need multiple GMs for that? Wouldn't most of the plot and events be made by the players?

Not quite so overwhelming, actually. If you can get an in, the scales can be balanced again.

I might be capable of co-GMing, but I need a comprehensive list of can's and cannot's if we're persistently worldbuilding.

To all, I'm have an opening for a co-GM! If you are interested please PM me and pitch to me your case, and after I attend to some business I will look them over later and reply, working out the best person for the job. The co-GM will be using his character to lead the separate group, help me manage the OOC and IC as long with help develop plot points.

From what I'd see, we'd have two different demographics filled with people with a diverse set of goals. Sure, they'll intersect and intertwine, but it's hard to keep track of two different groups anyways.

So Magica isn't energy, it's... different energy? Life energy? Life energy that is also every other form of energy and somehow not present in a natural material that exists entirely to be all the energy?
Frankly speaking I'm not following your logic here.

@Scrapula Yes and no. There will be a main plot point. But groups always arise. So if there shall need to be groups, I can tag a co-GM to help. It isn't completely free world. It's like a videogame that will take you to points in the game, but you make decisions on what to do at those points. If that makes sense. Besides, I have school, so a co-GM helps me with the amount of players I have.

Perhaps it would be best to hire multiple Co-GMs, to ensure each "faction" (Machina, Neutral, Magica) gets equal and fair treatment?

@Zobozun Magica. Is magic. Is out of the world of science and Machina completely. Energy refers to things such as heat energy. Like real world science. There is no Magica in real world science. Magica is so different from other types of energy. If you really want I can say Cortex can replicate all but Magica, but under no circumstances can the Machina practice replicate Magica, as it sort of defeats the purpose then. Bottom line, it cannot make Magica in any way, end of story.

@Scrapula They are mostly meant to work together. Again, everybody is at Haven. For a reason. Rather you live there or just visiting. I'll take it into consideration, but for right now my head hurts and I have some work I need to get finished.

Well, the concept was a guy who desperately wanted to be good at magic, but didn't have the raw power for it, so he built an amplifier to make up for his lack of raw power. If the amplifier armor isn't allowed, I guess I'd have to scrap my guy entirely, so I might as well bail since I'm not really a huge fan of railroady games anyway.

Well considering people are dropping because it's not all about them and I've been swamped with work, I'm going to terminate this roleplay. Tried to make the basis of my book into a roleplay, but the mechanics are just too hard to manage. OH well, back to the drawing board. I know I know, this was a waste of time, blah blah blah. @Valkyr So I was just reading through the messages cause I missed a LOT, and as the GM here is a player in one of my RPs I also forgot about the whole RP. So what do you mean by advanced steampunk? Clearly the Mach has no steampunk elements that I know of. Like seriously what do you mean by it? I am talking about page 1 btw :P

I don't know. I was just initially under the impression that the Mach would have some kind of steampunk theme. I saw that the description didn't seem to match my vision, so I got confused and came forward with my question.
