[OOC] The Tavern: a roleplay designed to practice interaction

The Tavern

Housed in an extradimensional space, with connections to any and all universes, The Tavern welcomes all, accepts all, and sometimes even houses all. Owned and run by professional multidimensional barkeep Hans Jaeger, The Tavern was designed as a place for all beings to come in, have some drink and a meal, maybe stay the night. Hans refuses all payment, as everything is formed into existence by himself. He merely has a few simple rules, so long as you follow them, you are welcome. So come in, have a drink, and stay a while.

Okay, so this is an RP where any and all characters are welcome, from any and all universes. This is meant to be a place to practice character interaction, as such, fighting of all kinds in forbidden while inside the tavern, and killing a patron means a permanent ban from the tavern for the offending character. Anyone may join, and make posts of any skill level. All CSs are accepted, in any format, and you may begin posting in the IC as soon as you've posted a CS. So welcome to The Tavern, and enjoy.

History: Mato doesn't remember most of her past, Apart from the fact she was chosen.

Personality: Mato is a goofball and a serious person at the same time, well, more of a goofball. She can be serious if she wants to be, but most of the time that isn't the case. She pokes fun at everyone, makes faces at people, no matter who they are, and is generally at the maturity level of an fourteen year old. But when she gets serious, the goofy personality of her's vanishes, to be replaced with a cold, hard exterior.

Power: Mato has only access to this in her base form: Mentokinesis: The user can manipulate, modify and control the thoughts, mindsets, and upper brain functions, allowing render others unconscious, suppress their memories, and negate the use of abilities, increase/decrease mental capacity, modify minds to be agreeable, sway sensations to induce altered perception, bestow mental disorders or break down mental barriers.

Destruction Magic:

Mato's ultimate one-hit kill technique created from the change in Mato's demonic power due to the influence of the earth 's power. Mato manipulates her Power of Destruction into a compression of unimaginable amounts of demonic power; takes form of an enormous sphere with a mixture of crimson and black aura radiating from inside of it that launches it toward her enemies in a slow velocity. It has the ability of a magnetic force; pulling the enemies towards it and get disintegrate by the latter.

History: Hans has owned and run the Tavern for as long as anyone can remember. He insists that he was not the founder, however, though there's no way to actually prove him right or wrong. He also has many stories from being a soldier, though the time period and universe of these stories shifts nearly every time.

Race: Human ghost
Bio: What just a few know about her is that she was a famous singer who debuted at the age of 16, unfortunally her carrer meet it's end when she got into an accident at the age of 19 in which she lost her voice. She fell into a terrible depression for year until she took the last decicion in her life, cut her wrists. Somehow her soul ended up in this tavern working as an assistant for Hans, who is the only one who knows her name

Skills: -She has shown to be a great cook and a real professional when it comes to making cocktails.
-Being a ghost has only given her one ability: she doesn't need to sleep

Other Info: -She can be heard singing whenever she think she is alone.
-Wont answer to anyone who asks her nameso those (NPC'S) who often visit the tavern try to find out her name.
-Although a ghost she is as solid as any person, so don't get surprised if she slaps you

The Flatwoods Monster



An interdimensional aliens from parts unknown with the ability to rip holes in the fabric of space and time. He hovers into the tavern about once a week to buy refreshments for what he refers to as his "「LONG TRIP」." Naturally curious, he always comes bearing an offering of pinecones and rocks and the alien equivalent of pinecones and rocks to present to the tavern keeper in exchange for room and board, no matter how many times these are refused, before floating off to annoy the rest of the patrons.

He is not lost.
He definitely was not abandoned.
He was most certainly not led off his homeworld, blindfolded, spun around three times, and sent off into the West Virginia wilderness as a prank.

He is just taking the scenic rout home.
