@AeonumbraI really really really want to be a part of this roleplay. I love that you have introduced so much more than a basic plot line. I'm very expressed with the amount of detail that you have put in to this.
Unfortunately, I'm not confident that I would be able to keep up with such literate roleplayers. I was born without the creativity gene. Lol. If you are still accepting, I'll start on a CS which I will be able to finish tomorrow. Once we start the IC posts, feel free to kill my character off in a massively gory death if I don't have what it takes to properly roleplay with the group. :)
I also work and go to school full time and the majority of my replies happen on the weekends or late at night before I go to bed if I'm feeling up to it.
@CandiBarr Listen hun, creativity isn't something you're always born with, I especially was not. Fortunately for myself I've been roleplaying for nearly ten years, and I'm an avid reader. But the point being, we were all inexperienced once, and intimidated by those who seem much better than where we stand. "Good" is just a word. I would be more than glad to have you aboard, I understand where you're coming from. I was in casual for a short time, always limiting myself and feeling intimidated, or like I wasn't good enough to be with the advanced players. If you're willing to improve you capabilities then I would love to have you aboard. From what I've seen, you are up to par, but nobody ever wants to be "just good enough."
Get me a CS and we'll go over it, but I'm sure you'll do just fine here. I'm not the elitist I try to pretend I am. If you'd like, rather than just roleplaying, I'd be willing to go over your posts with you and provide you the tips and tricks that I use (Privately, over PM.), and we can even collab if you'd like.
But please, please, don't ever feel like you're not good enough here. The main focus is not how much you post, but rather development and plot movement. I'd rather know what your character is thinking, constantly rethinking, or even the dreams she is having, than what the bug on the flower outside the window is doing.
PM me if you'd like me to mentor you, otherwise, you seem capable enough. I look forward to your CS.
[Edit: Also, do note in case you missed it, we go day-by-day here. Post as much as you need, as infrequently, or as frequently as you need to. Time skip if you want, not every day has to be action packed and full of drama. If there is a week where you're not feeling up to it, just do what you can and as long as we can all move forward together, we're good.]

Winner post. I know you extended that offer to Candi, but I would like it as well if that is possible. I'm always looking to get better at roleplaying and writing.
With that said, I'm definitely interested in joining. I'll get a CS up soon.
@Symphoni For those like in Candi's case. It's basically just me offering to help analyze posts and provide tips on how to improve your writing. From what I see though you seem quite capable yourself, and I'm no all-star writer. Some people feel inadequate next to some of the posts some people make.
Honestly, it's just me trying to be helpful =)
The only reason I asked is because you talked about the offer I extended to Candi, IE: The me trying to be helpful at improving capabilities and writing.
However, I see you are talking about the consideration to join this roleplay, so, absolutely. We don't have a full roster yet.
I am just about finished, but I am unable to get a picture up on my phone, so when I submit my character I will come back and edit in a photo if that's okay
I like feedback. I'm also happy to change or fix things up, but for now, I need sleep. And the picture thing. Edited in tomorrow
Name: Heloise McClagin Age: 24 Nationality: American Ethnicity: Caucasian Sex: female Height: 182 cm Weight: 64kg Eye Color: Green Hair Color: Red Physical Disabilities: -blind in one eye Physical Identifiers
large scar over her left eye, leaving it permanently blind
freckles plastered over her cheeks, nose and arms
Appearance: Heloise is quite tall for the average woman height, and given the fact that she is on the low end of normal weight, she looks very thin, and is quite toned. She considers herself, while not exactly womanly, quite attractive, not that she would tell anyone that. Heloise often styles her long red hair so that it covers her scarred eye, and does cover her freckles with make-up.
Heloise was born to a struggling mother, and an abusive father. For the first eight years of her life, she experience mostly terror, until the moment when her father sought to murder her mother and herself, slashing Heloise across the face, which gave her mother the strength to turn the tables on her father, wrangling the knife from him and killing him in turn. Medical professionals tried to save her eye, but it wasn't possible right then. .
Her mother relocated them when she was cleared of killing, and tried to give Heloise a better life. All Heloise cared about was learning how to defend herself, and she learned how to fight, learned how to use a gun, and learned how to use more mundane weapons such as swords. She had trouble at school, bullied by other kids, taunted not just for her scar and blind eye but also for the fact that she was quite a bright young girl, what one would call a teachers pet. When word got out about her past, Heloise begged her mother to let her be homeschooled, going so far as to even get a part time job to pay for a tutor. One might wonder how she managed to juggled her defensive training skills, a part time job and life itself. Heloise was very organized, and found that homeschooling enabled her to finish her days earlier then if she was at school itself. She only worked on the weekends, and she found classes for her combat skills that she could go to after her schooling. As for a life...she didn't have much in the way of social.
Heloise flourished under this, and she managed to get great grades, making it into a good college. She fretted about that, worried about it because she didn't have that good social skills, didn't make friends easily, but the part time job helped. She began to develop relationships, even had a boy friend, but when he began to beat her, when she got pregnant "and ruined" his life, she left only to suffer a miscarriage, Thought to be from the beating. She promised herself she'd never be in a relationship like that, and so she walked away. She took a year off, before going to college.
She sought a degree in criminology, wanting to be able to become someone who could protect those that needed it, before transferring to become a lawyer. She was just about to graduate, when the apocalypse started.
Heloise tried to find her mother, but got involved in riots, road blocks, jams, so that by the time she managed to reach home, it was deserted, but there were signs of a struggle. Heloise grabbed what she could, including the weapons she currently has, and some supplies. She set out to find her mother, and do what she could to help others.

Phew, done! Sorry if it's a bit longwinded, I tried to keep it light where it was necessary, but I really did feel like telling everything I could about my character's experience, so it was hard at times... Hope it's up to everyone's preferences, feel free to point out any problems! ^^;
With that, I'm off to take a loooooooooooong bath, I'm beat...
I knew there'd be some formatting issues, but as soon as I get on my laptop, I'll fix that up.
I also realized that half the history just...didn't post. Thank god I copy everything into a google doc. I've edited that in, and hopefully will get the formatting fixed and the picture up shortly!
