Awesome that everyone's taking so much interest in this!!! I'll try to get as much people as I can in this, too many people can be dangerous for the pace of things haha

What are people's character ideas so far? I'm thinking of bring in back my Arenaline Junkie, professional daredevil Set character, with some revisions of course, making Apophis a homeless teen with possibly mental issues and definitely being someone with a dark edge to them. Quetzalcoatl will be the more interesting one, in my opinion, as he's going to be a character that going to at war with himself, as his Human side is going to be a heartless, cold, and calculating serial killer that takes to killing his victims Aztec style, after . . . "playing" with them for a time. THis is going to mean that the more he regains the memories of his past as one of the good gods of the Aztec civilization who stood for civilization, priesthood, and abhored the act of human sacrifice . . . it's going to make for some good inner conflict.

Well, Persephone ,she is a symbol of rebirth and death. A lot of the myths speak of her as sweet and kind but also seem to fear her sometimes so I was playing with the idea of a split personality but not sure if I will go with that yet or not. I'm not even sure I will choose that goddess yet or the other one...maybe I will do both.

As for Nyx, she is one that even Zeus slightly fears so she is definately going to be serious and maybe a bit cold. Now she is also a guider and helps people with how ask to help with their suffering by helping them to accept the darkness they have in their lives as well as ask for forgiveness from those how have wronged you or those you have wronged. So she is nicer than she seems but mostly not one you want on her bad side. I will probably going to play with that a bit of I choose this goddess. We will see. Haven't played much with ideas yet

I was thinkin of making Cíocal Gricenchos, the god-king of the fomors 8D Who'se modern incarnation would be a spoiled chaos-loving punk with a plethora of servants he will summon and abuse at will.

My take on Hades tends to be a bit odd. I'd likely have him be a pleasant, friendly, even warm individual who has to cope with his powers over death.

I tend to see hades more as a force for balance than evil, so... Yeah. Probably serious though.

@KaithasMy view of Hades(and death itself) is very similar. He's not a bad guy, just been dealt a bad hand with having death be his domain.

Well, Hades was never evil. His job as judge of the dead was just a job. In fact his only real issue was that he got lonely, hence kidnapping Persephone. In all, he was the least rapey dickhead of the Pantheon.

I was thinking, since Bast is the goddess of dance and a motherly protective figure, of making her into a dance instructor for little kids. She takes care of them as if they were her own because, ironically, she can't have any kids. Since Bast's a pretty...sensual...goddess, she'll flirt around with almost everyone for fun.

And cats. She owns lots and lots of cats. Crazy cat lady Bast.

yeah, 'xactly. Was just referring to the propensity of adaptations to have him as a villain.

@Phaesaris I like that Idea, but I just remembered that Bast and Apophis had a very bad relationship(Locked together in a dimension to fight got eternity or something like that), so when memories return, things will be getting heated.

Alright, I have a little bit more of free time, hopefully I can get the OOC up in a bit!

As for my characters, I'm still torn between doing Atlas and Poseidon

Atlas would be really fun to do. The Titan God of Astronomy and Navigation, a leader in the Titan army during the God and Titan war, and the dude who literally had the weight of the world on his shoulders. With that said his story would be one of redemption, and i would love to keep the "weight of the world on your shoulders" theme to him. There will be times where he's forced to do or see things that would normally destroy a man, but he still bears it. His past will also catch up with him for being on the losing side, but he'll want to try and save the world, no matter what people think of him.

And then Poseidon is my alltime favorite god haha, It would really be fun to see Hades and have this weird sympathy for him but a brotherly rivalry with him as well without knowing. I also like to play with his temper and sheer power. His personality was always changing like the ocean, where he could be gentle and calm and level headed, but if something upset him he will wreck shit up hahaha

Either one would be fun to play and to interact with you guys, hopefully I'll figure something out when the OOC is out haha

They always show shades in a bad light but I always see him as a balance and the only reason he is so moody is he kind of got the bad end of the stick job wise. I mean, his brother rules over the sky as well as the gods. The other rules over the oceans which makes up most of the earth and he gets to sit in never ending darkness and rules over the dead. Can't say I would be completely happy and wonderful either in those situations.

The story of Hades and Persephone has so many different versions. My favorite is actually the one where Hades kidnaps Persephone but eventually they fall in love because Persephone can see past everything to view what is really in his heart. When she is ordered to return to her mother she is torn on what to do. Hades tricked her into eating the Pomegranate seeds so she didn't have to worry about making a choice. He saved her from that and even gave her a small amount instead of forcing her to stay in the darkness with him all the time.

In one version, he even opens up the underworld so that a spring time tree may grow there to keep Persephone happy and herself.

He is not a bad guy. Not really.

@Raijinslayer I was thinking for my character, the human self would be a lot like the one human he grew to care about, the Priest he protected (as a kinda-sorta joke to this person, the human self would be female). Basically the Monkey King would've chosen this human form as, in a way, to keep the one mortal person he cared about, and everything they stood for, alive.
I'm thinking the human version would be a gymnast/martial artist/parkour athlete who puts up movies (Assassin's Creed and Spy type movies) on the Internet.
