I feel like we need like an independent native American/sub-saharan African-esque nation.

My nation will be very industrial and have invented gunpowder plus most modern bombs, but if you mean "independent" in that they have had little interaction with other nations until recently, then I'm your girl

*raises eyebrow*

Gunpowder and explosives came from all the way over there? The little Kaliabs inventing that stuff made sense in the last RP, but not in this one.

In the history collab I mention that the Industrial Revolution started in the Moravia region (specifically the Kingdom of Qualia) after the fall of the Holy Roman Moravian Empire. Makes sense since that coincided with the hordes of gnomish immigrants and increased human-dwarf interaction. This history is pretty much lit on fire if we say that gunpowder and explosives wouldn't have even reached the Europe-continent until those colonies appeared near KalMea (speaking of which, wouldn't KalMea be the one colonizing the primitive Europeans without any gunpowder?).

Very well, I give up my point. That makes more sense.

But I shall continue to be super-industrial!

It honestly looks like you want to have your cake and eat it too, Hael, if you're gonna be super-industrial and also the size of Kataylabinsk and significantly larger than Moravia. Yllendthyr's enormous possessions are justified by them being really undeveloped and mine by being rural, but yours seems kinda absurd.

I am not GM, but I like to imagine I have some modicum of common sense.

So... Huh? I don't want to start saying this or that, but grabbing the largest non-colonial (colonial claims are usually scarcely industrialized) claim in the world, in Not!Africa, doesn't make a ton of sense.

And just hopping in and decreeing you invented things is... Eh.

Well, as @Hael's immediate neighbour, I am actually alright with the size, its more the
But I shall continue to be super-industrial!

part. I mean, I am still modernizing, meaning the nation that I have apparently been colonizing ontop of is not only the size of the worlds USSR but is just as advanced as it (And therefore more so than I am...).. I mean, how have I even been able to colonize if my target is so advanced?

@Hael: If you want to remain that large and industrial, could you at least say that you are rapidly industrializing like I am rather than already so? Or alternatively, the regions I have colonized were part of other nations that weren't you? (Otherwise, I have somehow been able to fight a technologically superior nation, win and then start colonizing you)

In other news: I have added a new government description to my sheet as well as added new stuff to history timeline.

That's another part I take issue with, Hael is basically forcing me, Voltus, Willy, and you, to have invaded him in the past. Based on the way our Ceres Sea borders are I just don't see an alternative.

Which is confusing, given if he's even marginally industrialized as he claims with such an immense and in large part fertile land to draw a huge population from, he'd be able to oust everyone on numbers alone.

I mean he could literally have tech from 1900 and still oust all of us zerg rush style, which makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Actually, there is one way this might have worked. We all ganged up on him in a big colonial alliance, similar to the Eight Nation Alliance against China. This would be pretty funny considering my nation itself is based partly off Qing China. (Though even then, it would require him to not be fully industrialized)

Out of curiosity, how many people are claiming the title of naval superiority? It seems like half the known world is boating about being the best navy atm.

Who can actually back it up? Ceres, the PRK, and that's it I think.

@Serpentine88 Yeah, but it's basically just empty bravado now.

And on another note as much as this new nation confounds me and is prompting a major history revision from every colonial power, here's the new map.

There is nothing empty in that spot. Only the false heathens Izuno Shogunate is in the lower left.

I think Hael means the territory south-west of the Fuso colonies (next to my colonies, which doesn't change the situation, though I guess isn't as bad because our colonies there are less condensed)
