[IC] Skinwalkers

In a decaying city street a large, black wolf sniffed around the lonely street in search of something. The wolves ears pricked up as soon as it caught sight of a trail of blood, a clear signal leading to his escaping prey. He bounded in the direction of the blood trail excitedly, jumping over fallen rubble and overturned cars in his path. He followed the blood until it stopped suddenly. The wolf looked up and saw a wounded deer limping away slowly. The wolf's eyes glowed with the glint of a predator as it pounced on the injured animal and proceeded to sink it's teeth into the deer's neck. Once the deer stopped struggling the wolf dropped it from its maw. It gazed down at it's most recent kill and let out a victorious howl. The wolf then started to stretch out as its body started to shrink and its fur started to recede until their was a man in it's place. Clyde stretched trying to readjust to his human form. "Finally! You were pain to track y'know." he then looked down at the corpse. "Now I'm going to have to drag you back somehow."

The sleak white tiger stalked through the trees. She nad smelt blood, and this had spiked her hunger. She had gone too long without eating, unable to catch orey she tracked for hours. It just seemed to be the way lately. She followed the blood, but slippex into the shadows as a dark wolf stalked the creature. Obviously its prey. But she was hungry enough to follow. Maybe there would be scraps.

When it shifted into a man, the tiger pomdered for a moment, before shifting herself into her own human form. "I would gladly nelp, if it ended in myself have a bit of tnat deer" heloise said

A coyote looked around, at the destroyed city it started to run through the streets. The coyote heard the howl, and smiled internally it caught sight of another deer. It sunk into the shadows, then slowly went to the blind spot of the deer not making a sound. The coyote finally made its move, and broke off at a full run it sunks it's teeth into its neck, once the deer went limp it removed its muzzl.

The coyote shifted, the brown fur receded, bones cracked and repositioned themselves Cody stood there with a smile on his face. "You were a hard one to take down," he grabbed the deer and put it on his back, and started to walk back towards the pack.

Clyde eyes flashed like those of his wolf form as he turned quickly to face the new voice. When he saw her however he stopped. The girl looked like she hadn't eaten in awhile, and he could tell she was a skinwalker, he could smell it on her. If she wanted to fight him for the deer she probably would've approached him animal form even in his wolf form carrying the deer on his own would be tedious and time consuming. His eyes returned to their normal color before he spoke. "Sounds like a fair deal, miss."

Heloise breathed out a sigh of relief, "thank you" she said, "it is getting harder and harder to find good game, let alone hunt it" she stepped closer, slowly, as if fearful he might still attack her.

"I am Heloise. I admit, when I smelled the blood...well I was thinking of merely attacking you, but I knew I would lose. This way, I at least get so ething" she smiled

Brusenna padded down the street in her small, cat form. She knew she was easy prey for the much larger animals roaming around but she was quicker in her feline form than her human one so she usually preferred her animal form most of the time. She raised her head slightly and sniffed, catching the hit of blood in the air. Her stomach let out a grumble at the prospect of food but she was torn. She was so tiny she didn't have a chance at fighting another for the meal but maybe there would be scraps left. She turned and followed her nose, padding on silent paws through the rubble.

Cody had the deer on his shoulders, he had to make it to the crumbling skyscraper he called home for now. He looked behind him to see, if anyone else or animal was following him. His eyes fell onto a cat that was small enought that it couldn't fight others for there food. Cody shifted the deer on his back, "if you want some food little one then come on, I can share my kill with you," he said softly, but loud enough for the cat to hear.

Brusenna froze with one paw hanging in the air, her amber eyes slowly lifting up and alighting on a man holding a deer on his shoulders. The feline could smell that it was recently killed and her tummy grumbled again. She slowly approached the man, ears perking up when he said he would be willing to share his food.

Cody smiled a bit, and shifted the deer on his shoulders again. He took shelter in a house that was still in good shape, and set the deer down he sat down. He was tired he spent a week following that deers scent and now he finally caught it.

Brusenna followed a few paces behind him, still somewhat wary about being around a stranger. She entered the room and paused, nose lifting into the air and sniffing. She followed the smell and finally stopped at the man, curiously sniffing his one of his hands that was in her reach. Hmmmm....it seemed she wasn't the only one in this house with an animal form.

Cody laughed, "so you finally figured that out, I kinda already knew you were a skin walker when my nose caught another scent behind me barely any animal follows a coyote around." He leaned back "there's some clothes in the other room when you shift back."

Brusenna nodded and padded over to the mentioned room, slipping inside. Once inside she allowed her form to shift back into her human one and she quickly grabbed a sundress hanging in the closet. It was rather long on her but it would do and so the tiny girl padded barefoot back into the main room.

Robynne lifted her head, looking around quietly. She smelled others in the vicinity but she wasn't sure she wanted to meet them. The red head cracked her neck and slunk down, shifting forms. Her bones cracked and shifted as fur protruded from her skin and her facial features grew. She now stood as a small red panda, her long striped tail swishing about. Her animal form was much faster and she bounded into the nearby trees and scurried up one. She was tired and hungry. But someone had once told her if you're tired, eat more food and if you're hungry, sleep more. As it was she only had one option. She plopped down on her furry backside on a tree branch. Circling around and around she found a comfortable position and curled up in it, laying her head on her paws. The little animal yawned as her eyes closed. Maybe. Nap would do wonders. She sighed as she drifted.

"A pleasure to meet you. Y'know you're the first thing I've meet that hasn't tried to kill me." Clyde laughed. "To be honest, I've been tracking this guy for the better part of two days if you got the jump on me you probably would have had me." He grabbed the buck by one of it's antlers. "I'm Clyde by the way, "

"I think you would have had me. Apart from hunting, I am not mich of a fighter" heloise said, as she approached the deere hide to help, "I also haven't eaten anything since I cam across some half rotted meat five days ago" she leaned down, picking up the deers back legs, "nice to meet you Clyde"

she smiled, dimples showing on ner cheeks, and the smile reached her eyes, giving the dark colour a shine, "I think you might have just saved my life, so thank you" she said genuinely

Cody grabbed the knife he always kept in his boot, and set to work his long hair getting in the way now and again. "So what you doing in this part of town, everything on this side usually wants to kill the person that has the kill." Cody was alone when he hunted, he marked his territory in this part anyway.

"The names Cody," he got a fire going, and set the deer meat over it Cody washed his hands in a bucket of water getting the blood off of them.

Clyde chuckled to hide his embarrassment. "Don't even worry about it, I mean it was the right thing to do." The sun was starting set in the sky basking the decayed city in twilight.Realizing being caught out in the open after dark would be disastrous now, especially carrying a bloody deer corpse Clyde stopped in front of old looking warehouse. "Let's just stop here before, besides I'm not going deny you food for any longer."

A pair of golden eyes blinked in the striated shadows of a patch of weeds. Despite the depth of shadow, the compact, snowy figure was clearly visible. The fox's coat seemed to glow in the stark contrast of the darkness, but her feet were spattered with a black mud. Scanning the streets, her eyes focused on the two characters dividing the deer in the street.

Heloise smiled, "alright" she said, "sounds good" she looked around, suddenly noticing that they weren't alone. "I think we are being watched" she said calmly, her eyes landing on the fox, "yes, we are in fact being watched" she stepped towards the fox, and taking a chance said, "hello"

As the girl approached, a low rumble instinctively emitted from the fox. Every muscle in her limbs tensed as she stepped back into a defensive stance. The fading light flashed on her sharp little teeth as her lip curled up in a jagged snarl. In a flash, the fox bolted past the girl and straight for the bloody deer carcass. Snapping her tiny jaw onto the leg of the deer, she gave a powerful tug ripping part of the flesh loose. The gold in her eyes held a sinister sheen as she yanked the limb again.
